Hi, I was wondering if extending Beam2 with 2 Eras 100 as rears (for Atmos) makes sense in a small bedroom. Bedpost of my bed touches the wall. The onle place for rears is either straight above the bedpost, but is at risk due to our cat, or under the ceiling about 1,8m above the heads. So the sound from Eras would be rather pointed at the wall with TV than at our heads (ears) There are no other possible spots for it. Will this setup work and improve the sound quality (movies), or will it be just a waste of money?
I have a Play 3 whose matching Play 3 no longer works. Is there a new speaker that I can make a stereo pair with the old Play 3?
I got two new era 100 speakers and it was a real bear trying to get them to even hook to my Wi-Fi. Some of that was due to my Wi-Fi. When I got that fixed, in about another 30 minutes l, I worked my way through the incredibly feeble Sonos app and got both of my speakers linked and working. We listen to music for a while perfectly. That was last night. I just went to turn them back on today and only one of my speakers shows in the app. The other speaker will not show any lights or make any noise. I have tried unplugging it and powering it back. Nothing. Nothing has changed since last night. It's like it's either dead or it's asleep and I don't know how to wake it up. Can I get some suggestions on where to start looking for this problem. I've only had these speakers 2 days and I'm already tired of looking for problems. Thank you for your help.
Hello: The status lights on my Sonos 1SL speakers have suddenly come on, and they are so bright in the bedroom. The app shows that I have them switched off. Does anyone know what is happening? Brian
Hello,I have the following setup: Beam connected directly to my TVTwo wired rear surrounds connected to a connect:amp Two wired outdoor speakers connected to a connect:amp Play:1 I have a wired subwoofer I would like to add to the system. Is this doable? Thanks
Sonos,I switched my complete system BOSE 900 Ultra to your product to Arc, 2 Era 300 and 2 Sub Gen3 knowing that you guys deliver a quality product but with this new update of your application, it sounds like BOSE deliver more quality and much better sound. I see a lot of open discussion about the current issue and I don’t see any of your representative from your technical groups acknowledging that this is a problem and even in your known issue’s site the TruePlay is not even mentioned, just so you know not only TruePlay is not working even the toggle On/Off of Sub is also not working. How come in your upper department or executive level be able to approve such a release of half-baked software. You guys need to respond and address this issue.
i have one of the original TV soundbars and I’d just like to check that if I buy a Sub Mini I will be able to connect the two wirelessly please. Can anyone advise please as I can’t get through to Sonos - helpline overloaded and chat bot also down!
Wat moet ik doen aan een one sl box die op onverwachte momenten een vreselijk knetter geluid produceert?Moderator edit:Google Translate-What should I do about a One SL box that produces a terrible crackling sound at unexpected times?
I purchased two new SYMFONISK Table Lamps today which I’ve been unable to add to my existing system despite dozens of attempts. I can’t get beyond the ‘Getting your SYMFONISK Table Lamp Read...’ screen.Have been though the process multiple times and end up with a ‘Your SYMFONISK Table Lamp couldn’t be set up. Unplug the power cord, plug it back in, and try again’.I’m also encountering a message saying ‘The connection to your SYMFONISK Table lamp was lost. Make sure SYMFONISK Table lamp is powered on’. Additional details.Router has been powered off and on again. Have tried with and without ethernet connected directly to the router. With ethernet disconnected the setup process gets as far as connecting to the temporary network, but then fails. Router broadcasts 2.4 and 5GHz on same channel SSID, have tried with each of them disabled in turn. Lamps have been unplugged and plugged back in again. App (on Android Pixel 7) is up to date. Other speakers on existing system are all working fine.
Since the last app update volume control is very difficult sometimes it does not even work
Guys how i can Conecct the play1 With my Sonos App ?
I cannot seem to figure out how to connect my new era 100 to my tv by Bluetooth. Any suggestions?
It’s silly. You have an app that should do all this setup for you. But it doesn’t work right. Total waste of time trying to set the speaker up. You should be ashamed of yourself, especially with the money you charge for these things. I plug in my Bose...it just works. I plug in my JBL...it just works. But your crap is cryptic and impossible. It feels like pure luck if you can get it to work. Mine may be a paperweight soon.
Looking to get a Sonos five. Can I play audio files on my OneDrive? I usually just click the file and it plays on my portable speaker via Bluetooth. I understand Five doesn't have Bluetooth. What changed I would need to do with Five?
I have three Sonos units (2 One SL and 1 One) in three different rooms. I am unable to successfully complete Trueplay tuning in any room. Each time, the tuning gets about 50% of the way through the process ring and then the app says there’s too much background noise. I have tried:Rebooting the Sonos app Rebooting the phone (iPhone 15) Taking off the phone cover Cleaning the phone with alcohol Blowing compressed air in the phone mic holes Turning off the AC Turning off the lights Turning off all air filters Walking barefoot in soft socks on carpetAt this point the room is totally quiet, and still the app tells me there’s too much background noise to run Trueplay. As this is happening with three units in three rooms, I’m inclined to believe this doesn’t have to do with room noise but either with my app and/or phone. Is this a known issue with either the Sonos app and/or iPhone 15? It’s frustrating not to be able to use this advertised feature that pertains to the core user experience of t
I setup a new Sonos system about a month ago and it was easy and works great. I have 5 OneSL speakers, 2 Beams and 3 Roam SL speakers. I just purchased 2 more Roam SL speakers yesterday and they won’t connect to my system. The app sees them during setup and then says it fails. I’ve been reading that it might be the new app. I did the original setup with the old version of the app and can’t add these 2 speakers with the new app. Any advice ?
Two of my speakers weren’t working, but someone who is part of this community helped me figure out how to get them working. I was having a fabulous time listening to music, and then all of the speakers except one just stopped. I’ve tried everything, but I can’t get the other speakers to start working. It seems a lot of people are having problems with this new app. Any advice out there?
I have set up a playlist but when I attempt to play it Sonos plays songs that are not on the playlist. This has only happened since I installed the updated App.
With so many users having issues with the new app finding their speakers on their network, I am wondering if they have a common issue with their network? I would like to see how many users with problems have a similar type of network that may be a part of the issue. Sonos does have the means to test things before they release it. The messed up here, but what if, and it could be a big if, a simple network issue is actually causing it.So I would like to see which types of networks have the most issues:I use Unifi, with half my speakers hardwired to my network. Gateway, switch and AP. No mesh. No wireless speakers:Arc + Sub + Ones LR RR, 2-Fives, Connect S15, Amp, and another single One.All the bold devices are hardwired and I have had no issues with the update. the volume control was sloe o respond at first, but its fine now. I have no problem grouping.Went to a friends house with a Playbar and a couple Fives. Connected to his system with no issues. Spent four hours there and not one ins
I can not connect one of my five speakers to my internet. It happens to be a new speaker bought separately from the other original speaker
Hello,I’ve recently changed router.I’ve managed to reconnect my Play:3 with an Ethernet cable, so the software update but I’m not able to connect it via wi-fi. On the Sonos app, the Netowrk section is blank and the so-Fi section says wi-fi unavailable.I have to move my Play 3 far from the router so I need it to be disconnected from the Ethernet cable and connect it via wi-fi.can you please help?thanks
Hey everyone!I just bought a new Era 300 and whenever I try to to do the configuration I always get stuck when I have to download the update. It always goes to like a quarter of the update and then my wifi crashes every time. I can’t figure out how to fix this… I don’t know if the CS is going to be of any help but I might return it. I was really excited about this product but I am now really disappointed. This is my first sonos experience and it is not great so far :(
Some weeks ago, my Sonos 300 stereo pair stopped working. The app reported them as “not connected” and it wouldn’t let me do anything with the devices. I was reluctant to try a factory reset since documentation stated that reset shouldn’t be used as a troubleshooting step, however after an hour on the phone with Sonos Support I was advised to perform a hard reset. Setting them up again was straightforward and all was back to good. However, now it has happened again. Suddenly the stereo pair was in a “not connected” state and has been like that for some days, even after multiple restarts. This time I wanted to jump straight to doing a hard reset myself, and I succeeded resetting one of the speakers. However, the other speaker will not reset. All that happens is a solid white LED on top that lights up as soon as the power is switched on and stays on until the power is switched off (with a small delay). Are anyone experiencing similar issues? Is there a “harder” way to reset an Era 300 de
I have headphones distributed on floors on each floor of the zone. I want to know which product is best for me
Sonos website claims “Effortless Listening,” but that has not been my experience. I am confused on router requirements. First, the website says works with any router, but the technician said I could not use the supplied Spectrum router because it did not separate the bandwidths. So I bought a nice, good router Netgear Nighthawk AX6. Now, Sonos technicians say I need to separate the channels because of interference. (I have sent many diagnostics and was never told that before.) Why does Sonos not tell you exactly what you need before you buy?
