With so many users having issues with the new app finding their speakers on their network, I am wondering if they have a common issue with their network? I would like to see how many users with problems have a similar type of network that may be a part of the issue. Sonos does have the means to test things before they release it. The messed up here, but what if, and it could be a big if, a simple network issue is actually causing it.So I would like to see which types of networks have the most issues:I use Unifi, with half my speakers hardwired to my network. Gateway, switch and AP. No mesh. No wireless speakers:Arc + Sub + Ones LR RR, 2-Fives, Connect S15, Amp, and another single One.All the bold devices are hardwired and I have had no issues with the update. the volume control was sloe o respond at first, but its fine now. I have no problem grouping.Went to a friends house with a Playbar and a couple Fives. Connected to his system with no issues. Spent four hours there and not one ins
I can not connect one of my five speakers to my internet. It happens to be a new speaker bought separately from the other original speaker
Hello,I’ve recently changed router.I’ve managed to reconnect my Play:3 with an Ethernet cable, so the software update but I’m not able to connect it via wi-fi. On the Sonos app, the Netowrk section is blank and the so-Fi section says wi-fi unavailable.I have to move my Play 3 far from the router so I need it to be disconnected from the Ethernet cable and connect it via wi-fi.can you please help?thanks
Hey everyone!I just bought a new Era 300 and whenever I try to to do the configuration I always get stuck when I have to download the update. It always goes to like a quarter of the update and then my wifi crashes every time. I can’t figure out how to fix this… I don’t know if the CS is going to be of any help but I might return it. I was really excited about this product but I am now really disappointed. This is my first sonos experience and it is not great so far :(
Some weeks ago, my Sonos 300 stereo pair stopped working. The app reported them as “not connected” and it wouldn’t let me do anything with the devices. I was reluctant to try a factory reset since documentation stated that reset shouldn’t be used as a troubleshooting step, however after an hour on the phone with Sonos Support I was advised to perform a hard reset. Setting them up again was straightforward and all was back to good. However, now it has happened again. Suddenly the stereo pair was in a “not connected” state and has been like that for some days, even after multiple restarts. This time I wanted to jump straight to doing a hard reset myself, and I succeeded resetting one of the speakers. However, the other speaker will not reset. All that happens is a solid white LED on top that lights up as soon as the power is switched on and stays on until the power is switched off (with a small delay). Are anyone experiencing similar issues? Is there a “harder” way to reset an Era 300 de
I have headphones distributed on floors on each floor of the zone. I want to know which product is best for me
Sonos website claims “Effortless Listening,” but that has not been my experience. I am confused on router requirements. First, the website says works with any router, but the technician said I could not use the supplied Spectrum router because it did not separate the bandwidths. So I bought a nice, good router Netgear Nighthawk AX6. Now, Sonos technicians say I need to separate the channels because of interference. (I have sent many diagnostics and was never told that before.) Why does Sonos not tell you exactly what you need before you buy?
Cannot connect to my phone with the green light flashing.
Hello -I love the new app!Ive always wondered since I bought my Sonos Amp - is it possible to Hide the Amp in my output choices? I only use my Amp as an input for our old turntable, and don’t have anything hooked up to the output (no external speakers). Is it possible to hide the Amp Output? Then I could click the “Everywhere” setting when selecting output instead of clicking each of my speakers individually. thank you much!-Garnet
If I knew how bad the customer service was at Sonos I would have never purchased a single product. One of my speakers disconnects every morning and it’s impossible to get a hold of tech support to get help. I want a refund for all my products. How do I get support?
I have a ASUS RT-BE96U and can’t get any of my Sonos to connect to the router. I’ve turned off Smart connect, factory reset, did everything with the chat services suggested. I can’t be the only one with this issue. If anyone figures it out, please share.
I am trying to use two Sonos One Gen 1 for a new system. The app tells me I can and should update them. Then the update stalls after a long time in with no error. details I believe the speakers are Gen 1 - bottom says “One” and below “A100” I know the speakers work, I tested them with the Sonos 1 app speakers are reset no problem the Sonos app finds the speaker and opens up the speakers WiFi the app runs for a long time until the little indicator is at about 9pm. That’s where it remains for hours with no progress (screenshot below) the phone shows the WiFi icon and settings show it’s connected to the Sonos WiFiany idea welcome
I do not understand. If I buy ikea speaker I read there are many problems. Can an expert explain to me what difficulties they areThankyou
Hi experts,I will be moving to work in Bangkok next week and was originally planning to take 2 of my speakers to my new apartment but was then told by the shipping company that I could only take one ,so the Sonos 5 it is.I wanted to be sure that there would be no problems with using the Sonos App and speaker in Thailand ?There is a Sonos distributor in Thailand but the brand is not sold in many places as far as I can see Does anyone have the answer to this ?
Je viens de changer de répartiteur wifi et je ne parviens plus à connecter les symfonisk dans Sonos Moderator edit:Google Translate-I just changed my wifi splitter and I can no longer connect the Symfonisks in Sonos
Maybe if we all chargeback Sonos for a failed product it will get their attention? Feels like a non resolving problem and half my system is broken. things were working great then the update caused things to disappear and require to be registered again. And of course you can’t… Useless support and useless ceo.
I have a Sonos Arc, Five, Sub (Gen 3), turntable. my sub will not register to my arc but I got it paired with my five so it all kinda worked out. just got two ERA 300. They add to WiFi and Bluetooth just fine but will not register no matter what. I tried factory reset. I tried new dedicated network. I tried hardwire connection. I moved closer to the APs.i removed every single other device on network and have nothing but era 300 connected. the product will not register.
I’m seeing updates listed by Sonos that my system can’t find yet, I’ll keep checking back to get them as soon as possible instead of my usual overnight update.https://support.sonos.com/en-gb/article/release-notes-for-sonos-software-updatesCurrent software version 80.01.07 (Android)80.01.10 (iOS)Release date: 5/21/2024 In this update:Support for the all new Sonos Roam 2. Problem. I have just acquired a Sonos five, I already have two Sonos one SL’s, was hoping I would be able to plug it into my Cambridge amplifier so I can play records through all the speakers. connected line in on app But doesn’t play anything, Cambridge is on Aux setting. Please help
Do anyone know what happen to sleep mode on sonos app?
I have a Sonos system with nine devices all running on a unifi network. It’s been working fine for 3+ yearrs. I recently had to reconfigure all the devices with static IP...no problem there. Using the App most devices setup just fine BUT my playbar and one other speaker will not register. It goes thru the whole setup, then says it found the device but until it gets registered of course it will not work. I can see the device on my network controller but if I try to debug and go to <playbar IP_addr>:1400 that port does not respond. It’s there but SONOS refuses to recognize it.Another query….if I plug in diretcly via ethernet the app does not find the playbar after a reset......so how can I setup the unit? It has worked in the past since it has always been plugged in. Any help appreciated.ss
1. The hardware is high quality2. The design aesthetics are excellent3. Sound quality is very good to excellent4. New app is flaky and looks amateurish (android) BUT there are acceptable substitutes5. Comparable alternatives are expensive & subject to same proprietary whims & errors6. Sonos has the largest list of music services (compared to competitors) Carry on 😁
I have 5 speakers currently up and running, 4 directly connected to Mikrotik switches (STP works fine) and 1 connected to wifi (Ubiquiti). I have no issues with any of these speakers or the network they are on. I am trying to configure a new speaker using the new app, and I get nowhere (whether it is plugged in or not.) The device shows up as a new product, I click Add (like I did with all the previous devices) and it says “Getting your <device> ready...” then fails and says the device lost connection, if it is wifi, the app says “Lets try this another way,” and has me connect to its wifi which works and I get to the next section where it plays the tone, then I get failures until it asks me to enter the pin, which it immediately fails. I can see the mac address of the device on the router, it is pingable, and I can connect to http://<device>:1400/status/ifconfig and it displays the ath0, eth0, br0, and ra0 information fine...so the device is getting an IP address when p
I have had a Sonos Play 3 speaker for a while now and control it using the S2 app on my iPhone X using the latest ios 16 software. The app has always been slow to start; now however, with the speaker on and working normally and playing music from a internet radio station, when I launch the S2 app, it comes back with the message “unable to connect to Sonos - let’s fix it”. It then takes me through a routine which involves re-booting my router and then it finds it. However, if I then put the iPhone down and it goes into standby, the app again fails to find the system; so back to square 1.I have found that, if instead, I launch the S1 app it finds my Play:3 OK but says “incompatible”, but if I follow the link “open Sonos S2 app” then the S2 app starts to work ! Still no good, because if I come back to the S2 app later - it’s failed again. There’s a solution on this community web site which says turning off “Private wifi address” in ios 14 is the solution, but this does not work for me.My
I have purchased new Sonos amplifier and Sonos in ceiling speakers. I downloaded the Sonos app on my iPhone to connect with my Sonos amp. I went though the steps more than 20 times but every time it shows the software update error saying ‘sign in as the system owner’. ‘The system owner must be logged in’. l spent 3 hours doing troubleshooting with the Sonos customer support yesterday but no luck. Can anyone please help with this issue??RegardsYouwan
