I currently have a pair of play 1s as a stereo pair and enjoy them.  I am going to repurpose them into surrounds and set up a new music pair with either one SLS or era 100s with a sub mini.I don't really need the extra features in the era and with discount they are not that much more expensive than the SLS, however I am a bit concerned about the dual tweeter in the era as it stands to reason that the imaging would be better from a single tweeter than the two in the era 100. I have a single era 100 and think it sounds fine but don't really notice a stereo effect.  I realise that a pair of fives would probably be better for music but I'd prefer the flexibility of the 2.1 setup. I thought that I had read that the fives shut off some tweeters in vertical position, so with fives in stereo pair and vertical is there just one tweeter per speaker working?

Helloi have a NAD streamer  (bluos DAC C658) and am contemplating getting Era speakers for around our house. Can I use this DAC to stream music to different Era 300 and 100 speakers (in different rooms) over my WIFI? Anything I need to keep in mind for the setup or when using this combination? Thanks! 

Title says it all. Hard to tell from the technical drawings and dimensions of the new Era 100.Kicking off a kitchen remodel and would like a stereo pair of 100’s. Looks like the width of the shelf is good, but I worry about the depth. Want it to look clean and not janky. Because this is going in a kitchen and the outlet shelfs will be mounted against a tile backsplash, I do not want to consider an actual mount that screws through the wall/backsplash. Need ability to remove/upgrade down the road.  Era 100 = 7.18in H, 4.72in W, 5.14in DSanus Outlet Shelf = 6.84in H, 4.77in W, 5.32in D

I have a Beam Gen 2 plus mini sub. I have just bought two Era 100s. I want to use them as surrounds (have done that). During the setup I said yes to stereo pairing, but that’s not in fact what I want.  I want the 100s as separate speakers in a group with the Beam, all playing the same full stereo music (for max volume in party situation).  Do I need to undo the stereo pairing before grouping the speakers by playing music on the Beam and holding down the play/pause button on each 100?  If so how do I do that?  Once done how easy will it be to switch between surround mode and grouped?

Sonos when plugged not even lighting. No response at all.

Opening this thread to add some details of my experience so far with the product and its setup - on 5GHz WiFi network in particular.  In short, the the hardware of SYMFONISK Bookshelf Gen2 appears to support only the lower frequency channels of the 5 GHz WiFi spectrum, which is a bummer. I use the TP-Link Omada setup and have enabled the AI based WiFi band optimization to run once a week (which enabled it to function much more efficiently and I have never had any problem with it on my other devices); after one such run is when the device fell off the network and could not connect back. However it continued to funciton normally the moment I enabled 2.4 GHz network with the same SSID.Post reaching out to Sonos support - to arrive at no conclusion, resetting my Sonos device once and going through all the logs on my network end, I figured out that the device does not support higher frequency channels such as 149, 157, etc.The moment I manually changes the settings to a lower frequence chan

I would like to integrate a pair of Yamaha DSR 115 powered loudspeakers and powered Subs into my Sonos system for my garage.  I called Sonos customer support and they said the Sonos Connect AMP is what I need, but I’m pretty confident the representative is mistaking. I believe it is the Sonos Connect or Sonos Port that provides non amplified output signals. But would like to make sure it would work before I purchase either. I do understand I will need a RCA to XLR adaptor cable. Is there any advantage using the Port over the Connect?Thanks!

I just purchased 2 Era 100 speakers, and it seems like the WiFi available to me isnt supported by the Sonos app. My general question is, if I am able to connect via Bluetooth only, is there enough of a drop-off in sound quality that I should get something else wifi compatable or wired? I am kind of moving around every few months, and therefore stay at a lot of hotels/resorts. It seems the hotel WiFi uses network access points unsupported by Sonos. The Era 100 can use Bluetooth, but apparently you still need to initially connect to some compatable WiFi to set up. Is it worth figuring that out anly being limited to Bluetooth use only?

Hello, I just pre-ordered a pair of Era 300’s, & would like to know if the “long cable” will be available soon. Or if any of the available long cables are compatible. Since my previous setup with the One’s required one long cable, thanks. 

I have 2 x Sonos Play:1 s which apparently won’t connect to Apple Airplay. I like Airplay and use it with other systems. I was advised by Sonos that if I had a Sonos device that was compatible with Airplay I could group this with the Sonos Play:1s making them Airplay compatible. I have purchased a Sonos Roam SL in order to make the Play:1 airplay compatible and have grouped the 3 devices together. The result is not was expected, while the Roam SL connects well to Airplay, the Play:1s do not, they constantly connect and disconnect when steaming music, even when they are next to each other. What can be done to resolve this?

I use several pairs of Play 1’s and this has always bothered me.   The low volume is too loud.  I have a pair sitting on my desk and I need background music, but the first notch is so loud I can’t speak on the phone with it in the background. Is there a way to adjust this?    Thanks 

I have nine sonos 2nd gen devices and they never work properly as a net. Most of the time some stutter or do not play. I’m sick and tired of having to reset my router to try and fix this for a few minutes before they fail again.There’s no point in having great sound quality that doesn’t play..

Hi All I am currently wanting to upgrade my Play One’s to Era 100’s, I have them attached to non height adjustable Sanus stands. I can see the 100’s locking screw is on the bottom of the speaker which means I can’t use them. Does anything exist allowing me to adapt these stands for the 100’s other than having to buy new speaker stands? Thanks

Hello there What do you think will be the next product from Ikea/Sonos?I hope for a Gen 2 of the frame and the replaceble “picture” get new faces……and Ikea get the ones they offer in stock.Same for the BookShelfs…need new front grills and get them in stockMaybe there will be a smaller and a bigger frame than it is today….like two options.   

Hi Folks👋 Orginal Sonos stands for Era 100/300: Are they simmilar,only different is shape of attachment of base to speaker.So in reality i can purcase what so ever stand(100 or 300) and i could just change the top depending on if i got the 100’s or the 300’s….you follow me?For example in my case,i got the 100’s on stands. I will purcase the 300’s but if i purcase the stamds i can just remove the top part from the 300-stand over to my allready mounted 100’s?Then my next question will be: If they match as in Q1⬆️,why does not Sonos offering this item? Need to buy the complete kit with the stands.Or does the “Sonos wall-mount” fit on a stand as well(problem solved?). 

As someone who primarily listens to rock music, a significant portion of the sound of the music that I listen to comes from the mid range. On Sonos speakers, the bass sounds great and the treble sounds great, but the mid range is barely audible. That's where all of the guitars are, along with the vocals a lot of the time. This leads to the music sounding muddy and lifeless.I love Sonos speakers and I’ve been a customer for years. I’ve told many people about Sonos, singing it’s praises. I think they’re high quality speakers, the features are absolutely fantastic and they’re aesthetically pleasing as well. I would love to be a lifelong customer of Sonos, outfitting every room with a Sonos setup. However, if Sonos does not make changes to accommodate the needs of listeners of genres that require good mid range frequency response, (and I would argue that all genres do, actually, it’s just more noticeable in some than in others), then unfortunately I will have to transition to another brand

When playing on-demand streaming music via Spotify or another source  I can skip or rewind tracks using the Next/Previous touch controls on the top of my Sonos. Thus I can change the music without getting my phone out or going to a computer or yelling at Alexa, ect. When listening a streaming radio station, the Next/Previous controls do nothing except flash an orange error light. I would love to be able to use Next/Previous touch controls to cycle through my saved streaming stations!My $20 FM radio can change stations without requiring the use of a smart phone app, it will be cool if my Sonos could do that too! 😁

Can anyone tell me if there is a compatible third-party power cord that is longer than the one that comes with the Era 300 out of the box? Need to hide the cables and cannot use a standard extension cord with the cable management system that I’m using. Much appreciated….

Hi friends,Name is Johnny, a severely disabled guy retired  in a nursing  home in W--s--M. After many trials with voice and bluetooth speakers and not enjoying them, I found an old Sonos zone player covered in dust at the back of a 2nd hand shop, literally going for a song!:). Struggled home with it in my wheelchair (weighs 5kg!), cleaned it and installed s1 app. After doing a factory reset, the app found the speaker 1st time, connected to the home's secure WiFi and performed a system update faultlessly.After adding my music service and alll my fav radio stations to the app and ticking the uncompressed setting, I enjoyed a wonderful and varied 6hr listen, which helps with my pain and discomfort, without a hint of strain, and not one WIFI dropout:).Yes I know, the audio is not as good as the later models, or high res, nor is it supported anymore. However, For a beguiling and gentle long listen, there are few to match even an old Sonos:). So if your budget is tight please don't dismiss t

I have 4 speakers in our dining room.  I would like to rename each so it is easy to make adjustments like indpenedent volume levels.  For example I would like to rename one speaker “front” another “bar”. etc.
