Connecting powered loudspeakers

I would like to integrate a pair of Yamaha DSR 115 powered loudspeakers and powered Subs into my Sonos system for my garage.  I called Sonos customer support and they said the Sonos Connect AMP is what I need, but I’m pretty confident the representative is mistaking. I believe it is the Sonos Connect or Sonos Port that provides non amplified output signals. But would like to make sure it would work before I purchase either. I do understand I will need a RCA to XLR adaptor cable. Is there any advantage using the Port over the Connect?

Thanks!

You’d need a Port or Connect/gen2. They’re for driving third party amplification. The Port is more modern, in particular with a better DAC and stronger wireless.

Being charitable, perhaps the Sonos rep didn’t quite understand the query.
