I have an issue that has not been raised before - does anyone experience RANDOM volume changes (e.g. sudden bursts of loud volume as well as songs ending in the middle [apparently NO VOLUME]). I have a home theater setup with the ARC, sub woofer, and 2Ls (in remote areas). ALL WORKED PERFECTLY prior to the APP change. Lastly - the system now defaults (as in difficult to get ALL the rooms to play the same song throughout the house) to ONLY playing in the main bedroom. What’s up with this!?Thanks to all for any help
Hi I’m looking into speakers for my kitchen reno.At first I had thought I needed the sonos speakers to control it with google home. However it sounds like all i need to do is set the sonos amp to be the default speaker for google home. This means I could use whatever speakers i want tied to the sonos amp. Are there any other advantages to using 8” sonos in ceiling speakers i’m missing? the alternative pair i was looking at was the 8” KEF CI200s.
iPad Pro, Era 300 ,S1 Samsung QLEDSpent 3 hours talking to tech support. He had me download an app to share my screen and nothing worked. Frustrated and clueless. This evening I emailed the contact CEO and suddenly my Era 300 is connected to both the iPad and the tv but cannot add my S1 speakers to the mix. Spoke top soon! It just disconnected-no kidding! Any advice? Thank you,(Analog) Suze
Since the new app update, my Sonos, when first powered up, will default to 0 volume. I am conditioned to press the button then get to work, after a few minutes I realize it is not playing and see that the volume is at zero. Just now I paused a song, and when I returned to play it, the volume was back at 0? Am I missing something? I see you can set the max volume, but no where do I see how you can set a default beginning volume? Am I just asking too much?
I received an update yesterday thinking this would rectify the issues with Music Library and the queues! I was mistaken. Now the app is even slower and my Music Library disappears as a source every day. My speakers also ungroup every day for no reason. The recent update was another example of poor developer code. I kept getting an error that it could not connect to network- Try again! Over and Over. It finally update all my speakers except one- said there was an issue code 1000. There is no issue with my network. Everything in my home runs just fine and have no issues except with SONOS. I have invested heavily in SONOS to play my library music but I am the mercy of the playlist and shuffle. There is still no crossfade icon in the new app. Everyday, I have to turn it on from the app on my MAC.I honestly thought SONOS could do better than this. This is almost two months since 80.00.04 was rolled out which was a debacle.
If I start playing something on one device (my phone) and sometime later look at now playing on another device (my iPad) it’s not correct. It shows the correct queue but can’t tell what track in the queue is playing. Usually it tells me that it is the first track in the queue.Needless to say this never used to happen *also, this community asks you to select a topic but the app isn’t a topic heading. All of my problems relate to the app
A lot of the answers to trying to solve problems with this new app seems to revolve around user's routers. I’ve been using the same router for several years seamlessly with Sono's product. Now since this new app has come out, nothing remains consistent after what appears to be a successful set up. Voice assistant fails from day to day. Speakers drop off, come back then drop off again in multiple zones. I seriously doubt it's our routers when previously everything worked perfectly. I won't even attempt to keep trying to make it work like it used to until Sonos figures this out and give me back the use of my $7000.00 INVESTMENT.
My first gen Beam will not play sound most of the time unless I unplug the HDMI cable and replug it in.Then the volume is outrageously loud. I have factory reset the Beam with no success solving the problem. Changed out cable with a Sonos supplied HDMI cable. No success. Made sure my Samsung TV has the proper settings for HDMI. Not sure if the problem is with the Beam or the Samsung TV. The TV uses an external box for all connections. I am definitely connected to the ARC HDMI connection. I have reset all connections between the TV, cable box and Beam. Any help is appreciated
Hi, I’m looking to wall mount a Sonos 5. I don’t have a socket up high on the wall. I could run one but it will still look messy I think having a plug on the wall. How do people usually do it? All I can think to do is cut the plug off, run the cable in the wall and use an inline fuse to make it safer, then hardwire into the socket. I know Sonos wouldn’t recommend it but can this be done and is it what people usually do or am I missing something?
Sonos: Please allow the minimum volume to be turned down - it doesn't matter what you set, it's just too loud. I have 21 of your devices and I also sell Sonos products to my customers - I'm always asked about the minimum volume, it's too loud!listen to your customers, please!
Is there a sound delay when pulling bluetooth music from Roam to Play 1 speakers?
Hi, I have arc sl soundbar and 2 one sl surround. I verified the setup and it is all correct. However, I still can’t get Dolby Atmos when playing movies like latest mission impossible. Instead it is playing in Dolby digital 5.1. Any thoughts on what to do?
Hi, I have a Sonos Roam and it is very hard to connect to. I have seen various threads on this site saying the same thing with the users more or less describing the same experience as me. I particularly share the sentiment on one user who explained how frustrating it is to decide you want to put music on, only to be denied by 20 minutes of trying to connect. All that happens is that the moment passes, and your wife looks at you disappointedly. When you consider how our phones connect effortlessly to everything else one has to ask how has Sonos made an expensive bit of kit that doesn’t connect very easily? And then you see the mess they have made with the app, and you realise Sonos is incompetent. In most of the other threads, a chap called Ken Griffiths pops up to tell the users that are complaining about their Roam that his is OK, so what is the problem? It must all be fine. He does this on many posts, not apparently realising that all is clearly not fine. I always find contribution
Was there some big botched update or something? I wake up to my whole system disconnected, nothing works. I try to factory reset one of my 8 speakers and it starts updating, my app is on auto update so that updated already. i try to setup the rest and factory reset all of them and it none of them will connect. I didn’t change any of my network settings or anything. What is this ****? This is for my business too. Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
This SVS wireless speaker ad just popped up on my Facebook feed. Hopefully looks like what could be the start of more direct competition for Sonos.Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.
¿how to disable the sound of touch controls?
By the time it will have Bluetooth 5.2, the Sonos was 100
I use 2 play1s and a connect amp with 1 ERA 100. They have been working together for a while but tonight they will no longer connect in a group. Each will work alone, except for the connect amp which seems to have disappeared altogether. What can I do?
Am looking at buying in to Sonos - not sure whether it will be and ERA 100 pair or a single 300. I will probably hard wire the speakers in but will also want to connect a turntable. Looking at a single speaker installation, is that possible or is it either/or in terms of ethernet cable or turntable? With dual speakers I imagine all will be well.THanksColin
I have a new internet provider and changed router and wi-fi. While setting up the system, I have done the factory reset and the system connects to the wi-fi. I can use them true my air-play (they are visible there) but not visible in the SONOS app?? What to do?
Daft question….can a Play:1 (2016 version) be paired with a Play:1 (2013 version)?I suspect the answer is yes, so my real question is would there be any problems given the differences in storage and memory as shown here:https://www.reddit.com/r/sonos/comments/ettebf/updated_sonos_memory_graph/ Basically I’m looking to add a second speaker (cheaply) to my current 2016 Play:1 and the 2013 version seems more available.
Cannot successfully setup Sonos One system. App keeps saying that there is no system connected, even after seemingly having setup the speakers. I have set up Sonos speakers before, but it just doesn’t work when all indications are that it should.
The minimum volume on a Play 1 for instance (volume level 1) is too loud to let the music play as background. It's "no music" or "too loud music" on volume level 1 Nothing in between. Ideally I could lower the music volume like an old amplifier. It's as simple as that. We use the Sonos system on the lowest volume side and the minimum volume is just way too high. I'm surprised that nobody else raises this.
I have tried resetting to factory settings and spent so much time and frustration on this. It should allow me to disconnect the LH Sonos one from “Unnamed room” and allow me to add it in the “TV Room” ….. but no no no … What a nightmare of a system!!!Any help be grateful for.
