I've tried everything I know. Through my Sony TV when arc is plugged in. The sound will work through Netflix. The apps won't play sound. Usually I would turn to tv speakers but it reverts to the beam which doesn't then have sound
Hello I would like to know whether it is possible to connect a Freebox mini 4K to one (or possibly two) Sonos One wireless? I would like the sound of my TV programs (that are managed by the Freebox player, which itself is connected to my TV with an HDMI cable) to be played by the Sonos One speakers. Can it be done? Does it require any specific additional device? Thanks a lot for your help. SonosNovice
I’m struggling to find the answer to this, but what equipment do I need to add sonos one speakers to my existing (wired) audio system? Everything i’m finding seems to be streaming music with the sonos app to an existing system which isn’t what I’m looking for. I have an amp and wired speakers and play music through a sirius xm player, plugged into the amp. I would like to be able to add the sonos one speakers to this setup. Thanks
I’ve just purchased a JVC smart amazon fire TV and would like to purchase an SYMFONISK WiFi bookshelf speaker from Ikea. Can i set this speaker up to take audio from the TV? Either direct with bluetooth or via the home wifi? Thanks
Alright, so I found a lot of similar issues, and went thru a bevy of solutions on said threads, but nothing seems to fix the exact issue I’m seeing… tl;dr: Power outage happened Monday. Since then, have had issues with TV and Beam + OneSL (right and left). The surround sound works great when I play music from the app or directly from Spotify. The Beam will play TV audio, but often I have to switch from “Audio System” to “TV Speakers” then back to “Audio System” before sound comes out. Additionally, the L and R OneSL are a crap shoot on if they will sync with the Beam and play audio (from TV only). Things I’ve already done: Reset modem and router Unplugged/reset Beam and OneSLs Disconnected OneSLs from Beam and regrouped Attempted to run (multiple times) “TV Setup” from room settings, but getting “Bravia Sync not connected! Please try again...”, even though Bravia sync is on and connected, and Beam is connected to TV via ARC HDMI port
Hi there. I have Spotify family premium and now have the Spotify kids app. It isn’t able to play on Sonos. Will this be added ASAP?
Beam only outputs stereo sound from BT TV box inputting surround via HDMI? I have a beam, 2 play ones and a sub. 5.1 works fine with a Humax satellite box and a Sony Blu-ray player (including Netflix and Amazon prime video apps on the Blu-ray player). I cannot understand why the BT TV box doesn’t seem to “speak” to the beam? Is it that the BT box outputs in DD+ which the beam can’t decode, hence the stereo? Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Hi I can't get my sub to work on WiFi only ethernet. When I connect it to ethernet everything works fine. I have no issues with my two ones that are set up for surrounds and connected via WiFi. I've tried removing the sub from the setup, rebooting router, setting up the sonos WiFi channel to another., unplugging everything etc. Sub is literally less than 100 yards away from router, is seen in the app on WiFi but when turned on no sound, vibration for bass. Tested on 5.1 etc no difference. Not sure what I can do more as I don't have neighbours WiFi interfering on same channel etc
So I have a virtual 5.1 system with the Sonos beam (acting as front and center speakers), sub, and two play 1’s in the rear as surrounds. I am trying to determine the following: Purchase 2 in-ceiling speakers (was thinking of Polk Audio) Purchase Connect Amp Wire the ceiling speakers to the amp so I have sound coming from above as well. Any issues with this setup? If Sonos ever releases an atmos solution with dedicated height channels, I could potentially be future proofed? In the meantime, would the extra wired passive speakers be helpful in creating a more enveloped sound field? Or does it make sense to just create a 5.1.2 system with a regular AV receiver and speakers with 2 dedicated height channels for Atmos?
Hi, i would like to know if i can have sound to the Sonos One from my LG 43UM7450 TV. The TV is 2019 model with Airplay 2 and smart speaker compatible. Link is here https://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-43UM7450PLA. My intention is to play movies from a player through HDMI cable to the TV and have sound form the Sonos one through Airplay 2. Thanks Jim
Should I buy stereo pair of HomePod or pair of Sonos Move?I don’t see a lot of threads that compare the Sonos move and the HomePod.
I have the playbar and 2 Sonos one SL connected. However, there is no sound coming from the rear speakers. The playbar sounds great, I can only mute and control the sound from the SL speakers. How do I get them to all play? This is driving me crazy I’m about to return this whole system.
Hi I have a 3.1 paradigm speaker set for my TV sound - centre, Left, Right and sub. I want to use the Sonos AMP but it can only connect 2.1 passive speaker system. so can I add another Sonos AMP to drive the centre speaker, with the other Sonos AMP does Left Right and Sub? I have other SONOS ones speakers in the house and want to use my paradigm speakers to play music through them not just use them for TV, possible?
Hi, is it in some way possible to control Sonos sound from distance? I have Sonos in a store, and I would like to be able to choose the music and volume from home. This because the staff is often changing the music or their own.
I have a 5.0 setup using a beam and 2 play 1s. Everything seems to be working fine however when the audio is being recognised as 2.0 I appear to be getting sound out of the rear speakers. I was assuming that nothing would come out of the rears unless I was playing content that contained a 5.1 audio track. Am I miss understanding this?
I have 2 Sonos speakers on my Google mesh network consisting of 2 routers. Due to the location of each speaker, each should connect to a separate router - bedroom - > secondary, hall - > primary. However, in reality, both speakers are connected to the primary router. Is this something to do with Sonos' 'internal' wifi? It doesn't affect the network, just curious why this is so. All other devices connect to the secondary router when in the same location as the bedroom speaker.
I just linked Emby with Alexa. Unfortunately Emby only knows the Sonos speakers by their IP addresses, not their names. I can see the IP addresses assigned to Sonos devices in my router, but I’m unable to associate them with the room, e.g., sun room, living room, etc. How can I see the IP address of the Sonos speakers and associate them with the room?
My sonos keeps cutting in and out?
I have a Sonos Port that connected to my Onkyo 585 Receiver. My Port is connected to both my Onkyo and my turntable. When playing a record on the turntable, I get music through my Onkyo surround sound speakers that are hardwired to my Onkyo receiver. I also get sound to my all my Sonos speakers scattered around the house. It’s nice - play a vinyl record in the living room and hear it throughout the house. The problem is that I have to set the volume on the Onkyo for the living room speakers (all other Sonos speakers are controlled easily by the Sonos App). I set the line out to Fixed in the Sonos App, which should allow me to control the Port volume with the Onkyo remote or knob, but when I try to adjust it I get “volume set by Sonos” on the Onkyo receiver display. How do i control the volume of the Port with my receiver controls?
Hello, I have few questions. Right now I have 2 ones and a sub. I want to add beam or playbase or playbar. Which of these do you recommend for a 5.1 setting and playing music? I have a 30m2 living room. The center speaker is only for vocal right? So it’s not important how the sound quality of this center is? I also want to use the center and 2 ones for playing stereo music. Do you recommend that, and so which center speaker? is 2 ones and a center speaker more powerful for playing stereo music instead of 2 ones only? 2 ones and a center is like 2 fives only for sound quality ? I doubted between 2 ones + center and only 2 fives for playing music. thnx so far
I recently bought a new TV (Samsung Q70) and, although the sound is better than I expected, I am considering some kind of sound bar. I already have a number of Sonos speakers so was looking at the Beam. I see that Sonos do a bundle with the Sub. Is there any advantage to getting both or would the Beam itself suit my needs, which is basically to give the sound more oomph! And if I did get the sub as well, where to place it in my room? The drawing is not to scale!! Basically 15 x 20 ft lounge. My options considered for the sub are positions A B or C. I don’t think I can do surround sound effectively because my TV is in the corner and my wife will not be changing the room around! Hence why I’m looking at beam + sub. Any advice/help appreciated
When can we see the Amazon hd service integrated into the sonos app and voice control through Alexa or Google????Its really annoying having to open the Amazon hd app and cast to sonos come on guys surely this is something that can be done!!!Also support for playing masters through sonos via updating codecs..
Hi, I am wondering if I can play Bose Airplay 2 enabled speakers with Sonos Beam in multi room play settings. I have Sonos Beam and Bose Speakers with AirPlay 2 capability in other rooms. Thank you Harp
hi I'm interested in buying amp but I would like to ask you 2 questions should i attach the projector to the hdmi (amp) port is it possible? I only have 2 passive speakers, can I create a 5.1 by adding the sub and play 5 sonos?
Recently purchased Play 5 and Rega Plana 1 Plus turntable with built-in pre-amp. When turntable is powered on, Play 5 has significant hum. Music from vinyl comes through, although the hum persists. No hum when Play 5 is set to streaming music via Wi-Fi. I’ve adjusted the line-in volume to multiple settings. I have (I believe) a high quality 3.5mm to RCA cable. Any troubleshooting suggestions?
