Hello,I have the Sonos Arc and i’m trying to set up voice assistant through the app, but there is no option in the app to “add voice assistant” here is a screenshot of what it looks like in my app.
Hey there, I don’t like to use services like Alexa or google because they exploiting my data. That’s why I would like to use Sonos voice control but it doesn’t work for me yet.I just replaced my Playbar with the arc and activated sonos voice control. Unfortunately no matter what I ask - except the time, it can’t do it. When I ask to just play music I get „Having issues connection to your music provider, please try again later“… When just use the app all works fine. I also set Apple Music as standard but Sonos can’t handle it. Any ideas? Thanks!
Hi,I’ve tried Sonos voice new in France.Configuration is ok, basic commands work very well on all my Sonos But when I try a command like « play Dire Straits in kitchen », all my Sonos answers something like this in french « sorry, Sonos can’t connect to your music service » Same thing for Apple Music, Sonos Radio, and Amazon Music.Any idea to resolve the problem ?
My sonos roam can connect to the em internet and app fine. It also can respond via Alexa or Sonos voice, changing volume etc. However it does not start streaming anything. The only way to start music or play the news is manually via the app.It used to work before I set up a new mesh wifi router.please can someone help
I’m using Sonos Voice Assistant with Amazon Music. A few days ago, it suddenly stopped working. Almost any content I request gets denied. For instance, I say “Hey Sonos, play Michael Jackson”. Unfortunately, the answer is (almost?) always “Sorry, your Amazon Music subscription does not allow you to play this content.”. I don’t have Amazon Music Unlimited, but Prime Music. It used to work just fine. Furthermore, it does still work if I choose the same content via the Sonos app or the Amazon Music app. Thus, I guess this is an issue with the Sonos Voice Assistant. Maybe it got something to do with the latest changes for Amazon Music, which increased the number of available songs from 2M to 100M I think? I already removed the Amazon Music service from the Sonos app and re-added it. Didn’t change anything.
I know there are tons of topics and megathreads explaining how to control your Sonos system using an Amazon speaker/Alexa however they all seem fragmented with different procedures and troubleshooting steps and are daunting to try and get through. I wanted to detail out the method that finally worked for me (and that Sonos Tier 1 tech support never reviewed with me).I am a custom integrator and at some point I found out that some of my customer’s Sonos systems no longer worked in conjunction with an Amazon speaker that had previously worked just fine. For example saying “Alexa, play some holiday music” to an Echo Dot with holiday music following in the associated Sonos zone...this stopped working at some point. This was no good as they had adapted to this simple method of playing music through their Sonos systems by simply telling it to.I am not referring to setting up Alexa on an Alexa-enabled Sonos speaker w/ a built-in mic (ARC, BEAM, ONE) as that seems very stable. I am referring t
Have new Roam and enabled the Alexa Skill successfully and Alexa commands work beautifully. Should the Sonos Commands like “Sonos Play Music” still work?
Is there a way to use google assistant or alexa rather than Sonos voice. I only have one option to select a voice assistant and it is Sonos own voice assistant. I want to load alexa up or Google assistant? I used to have Google assistant on my Sonos but wanted to change it over to alexa and now I cant load any other assistant. Any info to get it working again
This link here:https://www.sonos.com/en-us/guides/s1clearly indicates that Sonos Voice Control should be possible in the S1 app. Is this something that is “coming” but not yet here? Or is this a mistake?I would love to enable it on my S1 system.
Bonjour quand est ce que sonos voici contrôle sera disponible en français ? d’avance merci
Can someone else confirm that they are able to play their own custom playlists on Apple Music using the Sonos Voice Assistant? For some reason, it keeps telling me to setup Amazon Music when I try to play one of my custom playlists on Apple Music (which have the exact same names as the custom playlists I had on Amazon Music which I’m no longer using). So either the Sonos Voice Assistant can’t play custom playlists from Apple Music (which would be weird) or the Sonos Voice Assistant is remembering (caching) that I previously used Amazon Music and is stuck somehow using that (even though I’ve removed it as a music service). Yet when I ask the Sonos Assistant to just generally “play Elton John”, it does so using Apple Music without any problems. So it’s just an issue when trying to play a custom playlist.
How can I turn on the radio station via voice control? There are more stations with the same name.
Hello,Is it possible to use Google Assistant of Sonos One 2 gen in Portugal?
Hi, My sonos beam keep saying "your Spotify account needs to be linked first" even though it is linked on google assistant/google home. My beam worked just fine with Spotify, but for some reason suddenly stopped and keep throwing this error. When I use Sonos app on my phone and click Spotify and play music on the app, it will still play though. Only when I am trying to play Spotify using voice command, it won’t work. (when I ask Sonos to play music on youtube, my other music provider, it will play through the voice command though) When I use my google assistant with my mobile device and ask it to play Spotify, it will play so it’s not a google assistant issue. Could you please check if there’s a way to fix it? i’ve linked and unlinked Spotify on google assistant, uninstalled and installed all relevant app (google home, assistant, Spotify, Sonos...) Thanks
I have two issues/questions regarding voice control I am hoping to solve. The first is when I ask Sonos to turn my tv on (Arc connected to Vizio m55-c2 tv via arc) it turns on the TV but the input is switched to the hdmi that the Arc is connected to, showing a weird black and white screen saver. Is there a way to make the TV come on with voice and stay on the last hmdi input it was set to? Second, using my firestick TV remote voice control to do anything causes the TV to switch to the hdmi input the ARC is connected to with the same black and white screen saver? What is going on here? Thanks.
Says it can't stop music while in tv mode and I didn't ask it anything.
Digging the privacy angle of your Sonos Voice Control. Would love to see it supplant other services. Any chance of considering the following feature requests:Set alarms via voice Set timers (multiple, please) — really useful in the kitchen Intercom functionality (speak a phrase/announcement and have that play on all Sonos speakers — including S1 if possible) Multiple voice recognition & service linkage — or at least a way to specific when instance/account of a music service to play (ie Apple Music - mine, Apple Music - yours, etc…)Regardless of the above, you’re off to a roaring start. Keep up the great work!
“Sorry, the media account and the Google Account” do not match. Even though they do! Factory reset of device but same problem. Incredibly annoying problem that a lot of people seem to have. How can this be solved?
I was living in San Miguel de Tucumán. I recently moved to Yerba Buena. My ARC was in my bedroom. In my bedroom was a lamp that I turn on and off with a Google Home Mini. Both, Arc and light, where on the same Bedroom, so the order “Turn on the light”, just turn the correct bedroom light. Now my Arc is in the living room on my new house. But when I ask the temperature, all my google devices answer with my new city temperature, but Arc answers with the previous city location. And when I ask “Turn on the light”, I get “I cannot find bedroom light”, even I place both, ARC and Lights, in a new room called Living.I’m lost on where to change something so the Arc recognizes it’s in the living room. Thanks
Why cant i control spotify from sonos vouce control or use gooogle assistant to control spotify through sonos
HiWhile I enjoy the new voice commands very much for modifying playback. I often end up asking for increased volume on great track, but forget to turn it down again.Suggestion: Voice command: “(Hey Sonos) This is a great track!”Response: Volume increase to a (in app?) set value, but for the remainder of the song only. For the next track, volume should return to whatever it was before.
There are some basic functions I am missing:Set a sleep timer increase/decrease Volume here (like in this room) Play this everywhere (like Group everything) Set a timer (in general)and… of course… I am missing Spotify.Apart from that - its great!! Thank you!
We have Sonos in most rooms in our home. I've turned on the voice assistant in most of those rooms. Unfortunately, it keeps chiming in on my wife's 'regular' conversations in the house. Not me, just her. Anytime she says a word that contains or starts with a hard 'S', it will respond with that it doesn't understand and to check with the Sonos app. Well, frankly, we didn't ask you, and it's getting creepy!Since this is an edge device with no cloud component, how can we possibly troubleshoot this?
When saying ‘Play the new album by [artist]’ Sonos Voice Control plays a random track instead of starting at the beginning of the album. Is this a known issue or related to a setting I’m unaware of?
Hey Sonos used for work well on my Roam speaker, however over the last week or so - it fails to work if something is being played from the speaker. It’s almost as if the microphone is disabled once music plays automatically. The voice assistant works when nothing is playing - once playing it doesn’t pick up any voice commands (not matter how loud I shout!). If I manually pause, I sing the buttons at the top - it will then recognise my voice again. I am aware of the doable microphone button and this is not the issue. Can anyone help! It’s really annoying
