What is the technical limitation that keeps the ARC Ultra from being paired with two sub minis? 

.: Greetings, all. Last year in 2024 I purchased a Pro-Ject Debut Carbon EVO turntable. With help from many on this forum, I was able to buy a Sonos Port pre-amp, and all was well with the new product. I could easily switch between the LG tv and the Pro-Ject turntable.A couple of days ago, I decided I wanted to change some of the EQ settings for the sound for the turntable. I discovered that changing the Bass, Treble, and Balance Control Settings does not make any difference, nor does the Loudness option.I have no idea how to correct this function. The rest of my Sonos speakers (Arc SL, two One SL’s) are working fine. If anyone has any advise on how to correct the currently non-functional EQ controls on my Sonos App, please let me know. Hi, Hoping someone can shed some light on frustrating situation. I live in Canada and went to a local Visions Electronics Shop in my city. I ordered Arc Ultra, Sub G4, pair of Era 300. This was on March 11. They still have not received my order, sales guys says it was excepted on March 31st, then delayed to April 4th. I called them today and it’s still not in. He says Sonos never gives them an exact date. Is all of this normal with Sonos? Thanks 

This morning I was sitting with coffee and digging around in my orbi mesh. I noticed all my Sonos devices connected are listed as zone player 100. OK, not a big deal other than one is connected on the 2.4 mesh.  So off I go trying to ID what it is.  The only identification in the router that differs are the MAC addresses, of course.  On the speakers the only identification is the SN. What am I missing here? Are we not given an easy way to ID the hardware at network level? 

I have the following setups where I want to add the Sonos Sub1: TV + Arc2: Turntable + 2 Sonos Fiveis it posible to use the same sub when I play vinyls and later when I watch a movie too? Everything is in the same roomthanks!!

Hi all, I am not sure what I am missing. My playbar is connected to my Samsung TV via optical cable. I have already setup my remote on the app and it works perfectly when using the TV either with air/cable tv or other apps like Netflix or whatever… BUT if I change the input for the TV to be an HDMI (as for my Playstation 5) the remote wont change the volume (and the little indicator light won’t work either) it is only if I open any other tv app or air/cable that the remote will work ok again… is this normal or am I missing some configuration or something?? Thanks all!

My Beam 2 gen is about 3 years old. So far it has been working ok. Imhabe a Samsung TV and I use a Logitech universal remote, to control the volume on the Sonos.we have had some outages on the network connection. I now having 2 issues. i can’t get any status lights, eventhough i swith the lights on with the App. (Ipad) the remote is not working, sort of. I have reprogrammed the remote, as I first thought that it was no longer functioning. What i see is that using the remote, actually changes the the volume in the App, but it does not change the volume on the Beam. If I use the App, to change the volume it works fine. -Does the Beam an infrared sensor, that receives the command from the Remote control, that may be damaged?-May a factory reset solve both problems. If so, how is that performed? Thanks 

Hi,today, I noticed my Playbar was unavailable for playback in the S2 app. I did find the Playbar in the settings of the app with the information, that this playbar is “not registered”.When I try to use the “Fix it” option, I get an error 1.066 - “there was a problem checking for updates”.Anyone has an idea, why the registration got lost? The Playbar was disconnected for a few hours from power. And why does the app check for updates when I just want to use my system again? The Playbar was successfully registered.I tried to dump this into Sonos support, but their chatbot got stuck asking what other Sonos devices I got.There are few exceptions from the norm to my setup - none of my Sonos Boxes is connected to the internet (for obvious security reasons). My Sonos app on iOS does not update automatically (I did that once by accident so no more of that update crap). This setup has been working smoothly for half a year.Any thoughts?Moderator edit: Changed 1086 to 1066

It was necessary to divide my iTunes Music Library of 30k+ tracks into three parts in order to index it under the new Sonos software. This resulted in my iTunes index losing the location of all the existing tracks. I, accordingly, added the new folders created by dividing the library as referred to above. This worked but resulted in every track being duplicated but with only one of each actually working.I understand that, unlike with Sonos, complete folders cannot be removed from iTunes. It would take far too long to delete 30k+ tracks one at a time.My question is whether the duplicates, which do not locate the tracks named, could be removed by removing iTunes from my pc and then reinstalling it? On reinstallation, I would, of course, only add the new folders created by dividing my library as referred to above.I would take a back up copy of the library before removing the iTunes software from my pc.

Ever since the new controller app came out, it has been virtually impossible to control the volume of individual speakers in a large group (having to scroll to find the desired speaker). The problem is a countdown timer that doesn't restart when scrolling, causing the detailed view to collapse before you get a chance to adjust individual volume. I have to say I'm very surprised this hasn't been discovered and fixed in the many updates since the 2024 disaster update. Will this be addressed soon?

I have done a factory reset of my S15. Get the flashing orange which times out when searching for nearby products and then I get the flashing green and white. App will not find product to allow me to complete the setup. Can I manually add this?Have reset modem, router, amp, and everything i can think of. I have 2 ethernet jacks and have tried black first and white in the 2nd and vice versa. Black is just plugged into amp. White ethernet runs to router and plugged directly into it. Still will not find it. Ready to throw the entire thing out. Been working on this all day!!

He comprado una sonos beam 2, vivo en Colombia y tengo un móvil con Android.Dentro de las cosas nuevas que trae la Bean 2 es que se puede utilizar el asistente de Google y como proveedor de música Amazon music, esas fueron dos razones para comprarla. Desafortunadamente ni el asistente de Google aparece como opción de asistente de voz, ni Amazon music como servicio de música. YouTube music si puede ser instalado como servicio de música sin embargo la presentación es poco atractiva y práctica. Agradezco me orienten si está haciendo falta algún elemento para poner a funcionar los dos servicios que deseo tener o si definitivamente por estar en Colombia estos servicios no están disponibles.

If I search for a song on Sonos on my iPhone from plex they are all grayed out and can’t be selected. Plex works fine otherwise. I’m using the latest plex on an iMac and I can search and play songs that I search in Sonos on the iMac. How can I play what I search for in plex in Sonos searched from my iPhone?

Hi everyone,I've been experiencing a strange inconsistency with the Plex integration in Sonos, and I believe it may be a UI-related bug.### The issue:- When I **search for a track** using the **Sonos mobile app** (tested on both Android and iOS), the result appears but is **grayed out** and cannot be clicked or played.- However, when I perform the **same search using the Sonos controller app on Windows**, the **track is fully clickable and plays perfectly**.- In both cases, I’m logged into the same Sonos system and accessing the same Plex server.### Additional details:- I run Plex on a QNAP server (Docker, host networking, public IP and port 32400 exposed).- Remote access is fully working.- Album and artist search results appear normally in all Sonos apps and are fully playable.- Tracks also play correctly from within albums — this only affects search results for individual tracks in the **mobile apps**.- Plex logs confirm that the search response is the same for both clients — it's on

I have a pretty basic question for you guys..I have a sterio pair of Era 100s in a rec room. I am considering a second pair in the room for better coverage at lower volumes. Following the APP build the 4 can be controlled by setting up a "room" but my only concern would be any delay between the 2 pairs. I have an Orbi mesh system that covers the house well so I'm sure both pairs will be on the same satellite so I'm not expecting an issue there but only concerned with the 2 pairs in the same room.  What are your thoughts about this? 

I have a new Beam Gen 2, Sub mini and Era 100. I live in a Care Home and we have an unsecured WiFi network. When setting up the Beam, the process wants me to enter the WiFi password but the network doesn’t have one as it is unsecured. I leave the password field blank and press “continue” but the next message states that it is unable to continue the process.  The help desk says that Sonos equipment only connects to secured networks but I have read on the Sonos website that’s Sonos equipment can connect to unsecured networks. Can anyone advise me of how to complete the setup process. Thank you

I have a Sonance  6.1 system and I’m wanting to know if I can add two additional speakers

Afternoon all. We have a wired network in home environment. On top of this we have approx 12 Sonos boxes, all S2 and none so old. The NW is comprised of 2 x 48 port Netgear PoE switches (very recent ones) and a Netgear Orbi wifi 6 router (an RS853) with 5 (RBR850) satellites. Also fairly up to date. All vanilla, out of the box settings. All FW up to date. There are maybe 4 small 8 port PoE switches attached also in odd parts of the house.Performance on the NW is not so good these days and in fault finding, I was told and sent links saying that Sonos is notorious for impacting NW performance. Have to confess this was news to me.But just to ask please, are there any optimum settings or best practice, for a wired environment that we would be wise to make? Even just to eliminate Sonos as the suspect or source? We ran a wired environment very much to avoid performance issues. It would be good to know that we have Sonos set up in the best possible way. Advice, articles or solutions would be

I have created playlists within Sonos for years and have had no trouble moving tracks around, but now there doesn’t appear to be that option anymore, is that correct, or am I missing something?I sincerely hope Sonos haven’t removed that feature, or it could be the final straw.

Hi all,Maybe 4 years back I installed a pair of 100’s, an ARC and a Sub in small lounge to use with a Panasonic TV.At time of install I had horrible problems getting it working. I had support from Sonos and my memory of this was NOT to RJ45 connect the 100’s but to wirelessly connect them to the ARC and SUB … both of which were on RJ45.I never really understood why at the time but in fairness, it all worked and has worked nicely since.But ideally I’d prefer ALL my Sonos devices be wired to simplify the configuration, make it more secure and eliminate any risk of performance issues and …. well, I just like cables better 😉Just to ask if this is possible to do please and if there is a procedure to set this up that maybe I did not understand so well first time of install?Many thanks in advance

Heya,as stated in the title im looking for a solution to link 2 sonos 100 and 1 sonos 300 speakers.i bought them for my father, the first 2 sonos 100 were easy to set up.i linked them to a room without a problem, they are now listed as stereo pair. the problem is the 300 speaker. as i try to assign it to the same room it just creates a copy of it with only the 300 speaker.so now i have “room” with 2 x sonos 100and “room 1” with 1x sonos 300ideally i would like to assign both to the same room but it just does not seem possible on the iphone sonos configuration app.i know i can select both rooms in the sonos app to play something but this means i have to do it everytime media changes ( like media from a connected phone, tv or by selecting something in the sonos app)there is no shot i can explain this to my father so im looking for a foolproof method to couple the speakers. im open to using different apps as the “sonos experience” is giving me low key cancer.thank you all in advance.

I have 21 devices throughout my home and all were working yesterday. Today (4/1/2025 how appropriate) I opened the app to see that a software update was required. The update takes several minutes and fails every time I try it. I have rebooted all devices and my router. Does anyone know what I can try to resolve the issue?

I have recently purchased a Sonos Beam 2 to use wirelessly from my projector, the projector is connected to an Apple TV - strangely, when I stream a Dolby 5.1 test stream via airplay from the Apple TV direct to the Sonos Beam 2 I can clearly hear that the Centre Channel is working when the Centre Channel speaker test is delivered.How can this the case? I thought Airplay to the Sonos Beam 2 only supports Stereo - yet I can clearly hear that the centre speaker is activated in the Soundbar during the Centre Channel test?Is this emulated somehow? I really don’t understand yet I am pleasantly surprised.
