I recently upgraded to the new iPhone 17 and updated to the iOS 26 public/stable release. Tried both on ios 26.0.0 and 26.0.1

I am running the latest version of the Sonos app.

When I try to perform Trueplay tuning, I receive the following message after the animation: "Trueplay is not compatible with your device."

My previous iPhone worked perfectly fine for Trueplay tuning just before I upgraded.

My System Details:

  • Mobile Device: iPhone 17 (Non-Pro/Max)

  • iOS Version: 26.0.1 (Stable release, NOT Beta)

  • Sonos App Version: 80.29.4

  • Sonos Product Being Tuned: Beam gen 2

Has anyone else with the new iPhone 17 or who recently updated to the official iOS 26 encountered this message?

Is this the typical delay while Sonos calibrates the new iPhone's microphone profile, or is there a known bug/fix I might have missed?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Didn’t get the message you mentioned. However, I have confirmed via the moderators that the iPhone 17 hasn’t been mapped as of yet by Sonos engineers. Hopefully, the issue will be resolved sooner than later.

Sonos, and other manufacturers, do not have access to a new iPhone prior to its release. This is due to Apple’s policies. Once a device is in the dev’s possession, they can then begin to update the app for the new hardware. This includes the microphone, which is going to be different from the pasts generations.

In the past, Sonos has made the changes and released an update by November. It may be sooner, but don’t get your hopes up.

Based on past experience, I wouldn’t expect Trueplay to be available on the latest iPhones until December.

Both iPhones 13 and 14 were mid-December, with iPhone 15 around 1st December.

The unsupported Trueplay-compatible devices hasn’t even been updated to include the iPhone 17.

I have an iPhone Air and an iPad Air M2, both of which are experiencing the same problem as you.
I get the message "Trueplay is not compatible with your device." and Trueplay does not work.
