I have a MacbookAir on my network upon which is a folder of 4692 songs.  I have added it to my music library, but when shuffled, only 1907 songs appear in the queue.  No amount of tweaking seems to change this situation. I just want all the songs to play in random order.  Is there some other way to achieve this?

I need some technical help here please. I am currently running an Arc, Sub 3 and an Amp with two wired ceiling speakers as one room. I am upgrading to an Arc Ultra and Sub 4 and want to connect them to the current amp that has two wired ceiling speakers to run as one room, as before.I have removed the original Arc and Sub 3, factory reset them and moved them to another TV. They connected, renamed and working fine, so they are out of play.I have set up and connected the Arc Ultra to the TV and have it up and running. I was able to connect the Sub 4 to wired speaker amp, which is named Great Room.  When I originally connected the Ultra, it asked me where to connect and gave my Great Room amp as a location, which I selected. When Ultra connected it created a new room called Great Room 2. Now I have two separate rooms. Great Room, which is the wired speakers and the Sub 4 and Great Room 2, which is the Ultra. I want the Ultra, Sub 4 and wired speakers on the amp to be one room when I turn

Hi EveryoneI cant get the ARC Ultra to show ATMOS 7.1 it will only show ATMOS 5.1I was so looking forward to the 9.1.4 setup showing the 7.1 on the App?I am playing on a TV with eARCH and currently using the PLEX player.(All my 4K BluRay ATMOS disc is ripped with all content to mkv)My Surround receiver shows it correctly. My questions:Is there a difference in quality between the Atmos 7.1 vs Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 playback? Is this the HDMI problem? do I need to invest in a Switch like the FeinTech VAX04101A or the HDFury Arcana to get ATMOS Recognized correctly? Would a Shield Pro fix this problem? Has ANYONE gotten a ATMOS 7.1 to show up on the Sonos Ultra App? I can see it shows DTS 5.1 when playing old movies does this mean it now plays DTS?Thanks looking forward to hearing from the experts :-)Best regardsCasperse   

Today my Sonos desktop app stopped working correctly on my Macbook Pro laptop.  The desktop app boots up and for a fraction of a second all looks normal, i.e., I see all of the various parts of my Sonos system show up and the music menu on the right etc.  Then all of a sudden that goes away and the app displays a message “Searching for your Sonos System...” This resolves to “Sonos found on this network.  Update your system.  All your settings and services will be saved.”  There are two buttons: “Update” and “More Options...”  I click on Update and I get a pop up window that says “No update required. Your Sonos system is up to date.”  One of the choices under More Options is to reset the app.  If I choose that option, the app closes and nothing happens.  When I re-open the app, it asks if I am connecting to an existing system.  I click the “Connect to existing system” button and it tells me that the connection is successful.  I click the “Done” button and the app goes back to the blank

Hoping someone here can help. My system consists of two Play:1s and an Era 100 (each in a different room) and I have a Synology DS218j NAS that stores my music library.For some reason I can no longer play anything from my music library on the Era 100. When I try I get the error “cannot play [track title] access to [nas name\shared folder) is denied”The tracks play fine on my other two speakers so I can’t see that there is any issue with sharing, permissions, firewalls or SMB settings.I’ve reviewed the activity log in Synology and I can see the Play:1’s accessing the NAS via SMB3. The Era 100 does not appear to be even trying to access the NAS as there are no entries in the activity log.I’ve rebooted everything, reset and re-added the Era 100, edited the Unix settings, ticked the NTLMv1 box. I’ve set up a new user account within the NAS specifically for Sonos. Nothing works and now I’m at my wits end.Can anyone offer any tips/solutions? Thanks in advance.  

Hi,I am having an argument with my partner about the position of the second Era 300 I just ordered.Here is a picture of our living room : As you can see, we have a first sonos Era 300 on a furniture on the right. We cannot put them behind the couch. I am intending to put the second Era 300 on the left, attached to the wall thanks to the Sonos wall mount system.I have now a conversation with my partner who would like the Era 300 to be put at the top of the wall (see the red cross behind) where as I think that it should be at the same position than the first Era 300 but on the other wall (see the yellow cross behind):What do you thing about out respective position ? Do you think the Trueplay calibration can help compensating the fact that each speaker is not in front of the other ?Thanks for your time ! 

I have two MOVE speakers that I cannot pair... I have tried many times and they do not pair correctly. The Left one gets connected and disconnected continuously. Any help? Thanks a lot 

Hello all,I have a new ProJect T1 that I have configured to Line-In mode connected to the left speaker of a pair of Play5’s Gen2.  I have the Sonos Line-In > Source Level setting maxed out to Level 10.I then streamed a song and measured the average decibels for the entire song.  Next, while leaving the volume at the same setting, I played the same song with my turntable with the Source Level described above.The average and max decibels are lower with the turntable than when streaming (see image below).I feel that the built-in pre-amp of the ProJect is not quite sufficient to bump the volume up to where it should be.  I’d like to not have to adjust the volume differently when streaming vs using the turntable.  Is there anything I’m missing or do you have any suggestions?Thanks!

My Sub crackles loudly when watching parts of shows that have explosions/gunfight scenes. I have unplugged and reset it. Have reintroduced it to my sound bar. Still get this loud crackle or feedback when scene in show is an action scene.

i have a non sonos bluetooth record player and was hoping to pair the record player with my existing sonos speakers.  i have an era 100 and a move speaker and 2 older sonos units (i think they are called ‘one’).  can you advise if these sonos speakers through out the house will pair with the sony record player?

I have a surround system set up to my TV, Arc, Sonos Sub, and 2 x Sonos one, I know I can’t add a Bluetooth turntable to this set up so I bought 2 x ERA 100 and replaced the one,s with these hoping to connect the Bluetooth turntable, but it now seems that I can’t if the ERA 100 is used as surround sound, seems a bit naff, any ideas how I can get all this working, still got the ones but don’t particularly want 4 speakers in the room, could I use the ones as surround sound and some how use one of the ERA as a way to connect the turntable via Bluetooth to the ones, subs and arc ? Want to make as much wireless / Bluetooth as don’t want wires every where I bought the ERA 100,s and the turntable 2nd hand previous owner told me they had it all set up ok

this is my floor plan  I currently have an arc (green) in front of my tv. 2 Sonos One speakers as surrounds (yellow)1 sub gen 3 (blue)would I be fine to upgrade to the era 300 even with the open concept left side surround or would I be better to upgrade to era 100

Hey, I own a Beam (Gen 2) and a Sub Mini that are connected via HDMI ARC to my LG TV (43UR80006LJ) and tackled a problem lately that I hope you can shed some light on. I stream most of my media through my PC via a server that is connected to an app named ‘Emby’.While using the SONOS app, I almost always check the type of the audio format, and it works great, but on specific occasions I get the Stereo PCM mark. This happens only when streaming movies or TV shows that have image-based subtitles (PGS\ASS) through the TV Emby app.I use only EAC3 audio tracks in my Emby library, and whenever I enable the subtitles, I see the PCM mark.Needless to say, this causes a drastic decrease in the quality of audio.I’ve tried to ask if it’s a problem from the Emby client’s side, but it turns out that the audio file is a direct copy of the original EAC3 2.0 and should show the Dolby Digital Plus 2.0 mark instead, but it does not. At the moment I’m having difficulties tracking where this problem comes f

I have 2 x Ikea Syfonisks and 1 x Beam (Gen 1). System has been working or for a few years. I usually Airplay from Music app on my iPhone. Now when I try to play to a speaker it connects momentarily (no sound) then just jumps back to the iPhone. All speaker are visible and I don’t get an error just it just won’t ‘stick’ on a speaker (or speakers). The systme works if I play from my Apple Music library within the Sonos app but I prefer to use the Music app directly (and have always done so in the past). I’ve reset the router, switched all the speakers off and on again. No luck, any suggestions?Edit: i just tested from my iMac using Music and I can connect – so presumably this is a Music app on the iPhone problem?

I have a stereo pair of Play: 1 and a stereo pair of Symfonisk. Is it possible to add a Sonos Sub Mini to one of the pairs without unpairing the stereo pair?

For years I have had an ARC+Sub 2 connected to my TV via HDMI(arc). I recently upgraded to an ARC Ultra + Sub 4. I also have a SONOS Era 300 in a separate room and Play Ones each in their own rooms and a stereo pair of Play Ones in another room.Until last week I was able to play input from unique sources in each room and change a source in one room without impacting the source in any of the others.Now changing one room seems to make the change in all. For example: I’m watching TV and the Arc Ultra+ Sub 4 is set to TV Line In. I have changed the SONOS Era 300 to TV Line In, so TV audio is coming from both. I pause the TV and go into a room with a Play ONE. I set the source of the Play ONE to a streaming news radio station. When I go back to the TV room, the input of the Arc Ultra +Sub 4 and SONOS Era 300 have been changed to the news radio station. This is really annoying. Anyone else have this issue?Thanks,Kyle

I used to be able to use Amazon Japan to purchase Sonos products but that option has been scaled back so the choices available are now extremely limited. In fact, they were never able to supply me with an Arc.I want to purchase an Arc Ultra.Thanks

Our business uses Sonos speakers & app to play music in the business. Sometimes we start playing music directly through the Spotify app, and other times we play Spotify through the Sonos app. When we play through Spotify, others are able to connect to the speakers and play their own music. When we play through Sonos, only the business ipad is able to connect. We don’t want any members to be able to connect to the speakers. Anyone know what this is about or why it happens?

Hi All, my trusty pair of Sonos fives are playing up. one of the stereo pair of fives disappeared from the app. I factory reset and reconnected and tried anything I could find on the forum. dialogue says setup complete. however, it does not appear on the iOS app or the Mac app. however, It does appear on the the web app...... what to do? cheers, j.

Since a few weeks Sonos never manages to play Spotify. Sonos always loses connection to Spotify according to the error message. (Or rather, Sonos never manages to establish a connection to Spotify - there is never a sound from Spotify on the Sonos system.) I have tried starting music on both the Sonos and Spotify apps, but the same problem persists. I have also tried reinstalling the Sonos and Spotify apps (I run the Sonos 1 app due to the age of my Sonos products). I have also disconnected all Sonos products and unplugged the router and then restarted it all. Nothing helps. Most grateful for guidance on how to solve this problem

I have a first gen playbar, 2 x play 1's and a 1st gen sub.If both the play 1s are being used, after a short time the whole system starts to glitch/stutter.Playbar - finePlaybar and sub finePlaybar, sub and 1 x play1 is fine As soon as I add the second play 1 it is fine for a short period but then glitches or stutters. Ive updated and tried factory reset.Any ideas?
