I recently did the “trade up” program and got rid of my 15-year-old Sonos amps, replaced with the Connect:Amp. What I notice is that with the prior hardware I could adjust bass, treble, loudness.  Now that new components in place, I am no longer seeing that option. Just me, or am I missing something?

Can the new Sonos Amp be used as a 3.1 system?i have three non smart paradigm speaks are left, right and centre channels, and a paradigm base subwoofer that are connected to a Denon AMP for sound for the TV.i want to run this setup through the new Sonos AMP but it looks like it is only a  2.1 system.the reason being I have 4 Sonos One’s throughout  the house for music and want to use my Paradigm system with my Sonos system. So can the Sonos AMP be used as a 3.1 system?Also if I loose the centre channel how will it sound out of two speakers, I hear the Sonos AMP has a way of making it sound like there is a centre channel? 

Hello everyone, I would need your help, please! I was wondering if the Dolby Digital 5.1 format is supported by my Sonos Home Theater system. I stream Netflix content from my Apple TV 4th gen, video sent to a video projector via HDMI and send the audio to my Sonos via AirPlay 2. I have 1 playbase, sub and 2 Sonos 1, grouped all together and the 2 Sonos 1 configured as surround speakers. I want to be sure that I really cover DD5.1 format and not just stereo, I try to find info about that but no success. anyone knows if this format is supported? And how to be sure that I send 5.1 to my Sonos speakers? Is it on the Apple TV or Sonos app setup? thanks in advance for your help and advices! cheers

I have a Beam with an Amazon Fire TV stick 4K. I have linked the devices in the Alexa app and can switch on tv, start playing programs (e.g. "play Peaky Blinders”) and all works well (TV will switch on and play the requested program). But if I cannot just open apps (e.g. “open Netflix” or “open Prime Video”); when I do instead of going to the home page of the app it takes me to the search page of Fire TV with the app I asked for highlighted. Everything else seems to work and the “open app” commands work if I use the Fire TV remote. Clearly the command has been heard and sent via the Beam to the Fire TV stick, but it does not get as far as opening the requested app. Am I missing something?

I would be looking at buying the SONOS MOVE for use in our MotorHome (That’s an RV @Ryan S and @Chris) So as the motorhome runs on 12v which I know the Move doesn’t then I need to have a good idea how long it will run from a full charge connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth.I can plug in 240v but if hooked up on a site it would probably knock out the power due the high amps. ThanksDave

Recently with no changes from my side, Alexa stopped working and says it can't communicate if I try to call it. The Mic is definitely on and the Sonos system is working fine otherwise.I already restarted my Beam, and I removed the device and skill via Alexa app, but now if I try to de-register Alexa via the Sonos app I get an error "there was a problem removing your account".Connectivity (i.e.wifi and internet) are fine, does anyone know how I can resolve this?  

Every time I use Beam through AirPlay or if I use voice assistance for playing something, the device disconnects from TV. I have a Samsung TV with HDMI-ARC (Anynet+), and I have to turn the Beam off and on again every time it disconnects. Not convenient at all.  Why is this happening? Any help is appreciated!

So I'm thinking of getting a couple of Sonos Ones and the Beam. But I use Tidal. Does Alexa work with Tidal?

As of 10/28/2019 version 10.5 of the app requires Android 7.0 or later. We purchased a PLAY:5 planning to use our Android 6.0 phones to set it up. Is the 10.4 version still available? Otherwise a new phone ($$) or we own a boat anchor.We plan to use it exclusively as an internet radio.Any helpful info will be appreciated.

I’ve just bought the Sonos One. How do I get Alexa to play my playlists from Apple Music? I can physically select music to play off Apple Music but when asking Alexa she won’t play, something about Amazon Music is mentioned

I have a Beam with sonos sub and play 1 speakers in my living room and I am looking to replace the Beam with sonos amp and Mission floorstanding speakers. The reason for planning that is because I think it might give me a good option for music and movies in same area rather than setting up the speaker in another room. I don't have an amplifier so need to get one if I set the speaker separately. I don't know how well the phantom centre works for movies with sonos amp as there is no option for that whereas from the beam dialogue is quite clear. Hope you could share your thoughts. Thanks

I’ve just received an offer to get a discount off the purchase of a Boost to replace my Bridge, claiming better performance. (Before end of year offer)I’m not aware of any issues with my Sonos system.Is the Bridge going to remain in support or is it being dropped/obsoleted in the near term?If not then I see not need to spend funds for no apparent gain. Perhaps a Sonos Support Employee can advise on this, please?

 I have a Sonos Connect device that's connected vie digital connection to my home hifi Dac's. I want to enjoy the highest available Hi-Res streaming Audio available , In Tidal , there is a HIFI stream account and Premium account. the HIFI is about $26 a month that 2.5 more expensive then the premium billed. Is the Sonos Connect device can accept / deliver the 1411Kbps that in the HIFI expensive account ? I want to choose the right Tidal account but its depend on the Sonos Connect capabilities. Thanks

I have the option of running ethernet cables to each of my speakers in my small theater: PlayBar Sub Play1s Surround Is there an advantage to doing so? It plays fine now via WiFi but my signal is not that strong in this part of the house.

I recently installed a WD  NAS on my systemI uploaded all of my fairly extensive music library up to the NAS with no issues.When I try to add the Folder on the NAS to Sonos with the Windows App I can see the folder in the add music services window, but the “button” to select it is greyed out.I have tried it in both the public and private sides of the NAS, and have tried moving the folder out on it’s own. I have done some research on permissions and think I have things set up correctly but cannot get the ability to select the folder.I assume it is some sort of a permission problem but am at a loss to sort it out.Can someone advise me?

Google recently released an update allowing us to [url=https://www.engadget.com/2019/05/07/hey-google-stop-alarm-no-more/]cancel alarms by merely saying "stop"[/url]. My Sonos Beam will only cancel alarms in response to the wake phrase plus "stop", i.e. I must use "Ok Google, stop" or "Hey Google, stop". This is a confusing and unhelpful user experience as the Beam requires different commands to the other Google Home devices in our household. Why doesn't "stop" work, does this indicate that the Sonos integration is not a current version of Google Assistant? What does this mean for the future? I've no idea whether this needs to be fixed by Google or Sonos, I've already [url=https://support.google.com/googlehome/answer/7071494]reported it to Google[/url], and encourage anyone else experiencing this problem to do so also.

Just received email from Sonos suggesting I replace my bridge with a boost. The mail is non specific as to why? Just really says it’s old! my bridge is used as a stand alone booster to extend range of my Sonos to the garden (which is well covered by a mesh Wi-Fi system). What exactly is “wrong” with bridge (apart from the known dodgy psu) that warrants replacement? Or is this a warning for end of support?

Hi My Sonos Controller recently stopped recognizing my Spotify account which I then removed from the Sonos app.Now Sonos does not connect to any music service and under “Add Music Services” I get the message “No selections available”.Based on other answers, I have tried:reinstalling the Sonos app rebooting the router, Sonos Bridge and Sonos speakers & ConnectNothing seems to work and I still get the same message under Music Services.I ran a diagnostic after trying all these things again - the code is 1669624089.Thanks for any advice!  

Is it possible to use an active subwoofer (not sonos sub) for example Dali e9-f by connecting audio out from a Sonos Connect directly to the line in RCA-s of the subwoofer? I intend to use the subwoofer together with a single Sonos play:5 ( grouped ), until i might expand and combine with old loudspeakers through a new stereo reciever. This way I hope to add the play 5 with the extra boost of bass of a subwoofer, that later I can also use with a classic stereo reciever and loudspeaker. Buying a Sonos sub is not something I want to do because of personal sonoc preferences and beeing strictly bound to sonos. Thanks!

After updating to 10.4 the sound quality got worse. The bass is really low, had to tweak the equaliser up all the way. Still, it sounds hollow and no real punch. Calibrated with trueplay, didn’t fix the problem. Anyone having the same problems? Sonos One and Sub.

I've moved over to straight wireless setup and curious if there is any use for this bridge I have.

I have a Samsung 8K QLED TV (dying for content) connected to a Sonos Playbar, Sonos Sub and Sonos Connect Amp that drives two in-ceiling rear speakers. The Samsung Connect One box and the Sonos Playbar are connected to my home network. The Connect One box receives my TV signal over HDMI. The Connect One connects to the Sonos Playbar via the digital audio cable. My readings suggest to me that in order to deploy Dolby Digital or DTS one must connect to the soundbar via HDMI Arc (way over my head here!). The Sonos Playbar does not have an HDMI Arc input. My simple question – Is the quality of my sound being compromised due to the lack of HDMI Arc on the Playbar and if so, is the solution to replace the Playbar with a soundbar that has an HDMI Arc port? Or, is there a tweak to my configuration that would enhance the surround sound experience to be comparable to Dolby Digital or DTS?  Thanks!

So far, so good! : ) Google Home has "routines" such as playing the news and weather when you say "OK Google, good morning". But I don't know how to have the "routine" play from the Sonos speaker. On the Google Home app on my phone if I select "Routines" then it gives me the option to "Play routines on" and an [u]Edit[/u] link If I click the [u]Edit[/u] link I can select from [list] [*]This device [*]Google mini [/list]but I can't select the Sonos speakers (e.g. "kitchen") Is there a way to achieve this? Many thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

The scenario is this.All of my other Alexa devices respond to “Play xxxx”. As Apple music is the default then Apple music is used. My Sonos 1 will play music from apple music via the Sonos App. My Sonos 1 plays music via airplay  My Sonos 1 will not play music via the Alex voice command responding with words like “Hmmm First enable the skill for your Sonos one in your Alex app then ask me to discover devices” The skill is enabled hence it works on all other amazon devices.  Discovering new devices result in “No new devices found”Any ideas?Thanks
