Will the new Sonos with Google Assistant also feature Multiroom across Sonos and Google? For example playing music on Sonos One and Google Home mini at the same time? Thanks for any help.

I have a sonos one and want to use the light feature, do I just buy a Philips hue bulb and sync it to the sonos? Or do I need something besides that. Never had anything like this before, and I'm a bit of a techno phobe

Hello, A couple of weeks ago I gave a party at home for my friends. Ofcourse I used Sonos as my entertainment system. But because all my friends are connected to the home wifi they also can controll the music. So every 10 seconds a new song is putt on. And I find this very anoying. So I thaught it would be nice if there was a "Party Mode" so that only one device is autorised to controll the music. It would be a nice feature for the next update.

I am trying to use Optoma UHD 51A projector (it has optical out) connected to a Roku with 5.1 Sonos setup. I did some digging and stlll not entirely sure if I understand all options / info is a couple of years old to get 5.1 surround and hence adding a new question. 1. Is there a way to achieve 5.1 with the Roku Ultra player itself? I have set audio and HDMI settings to Dolby Digital (not Dolby Digital Plus) but still getting Stereo when checking the app (more / settings / about sonos). Can I add a HDMI switch to get roku to work? Note that the roku app even when connected with a TV does not provide 5.1 with same settings for some reason although the native samsung tv netflix app does. 2. Building a new home, I have begun to run speaker wire throughout the main floor. I have bought three Sonos Amps, four Polk V80s, two Polk V85s (living room, kitchen/dining), and six Polk RC80is (patio, bath, bedroom). 12 speakers total, 4 speakers per amp/zone and one Play1... The blue circles below represent where I plan to install speakers (10 speakers out of 12). My question is where to place the last two speakers. I have four red circles as possibilities, a pair for the laundry/mud to tie into the master bedroom/bath zone. Or add another pair to the kitchen/dining zone (living room is it's own zone). The covered deck will tie into the remaining zone I don't choose. My main concern is not having enough speakers in the kitchen/dining area with just the two in-ceilings. I could throw the Play1 on the kitchen counter to add to it if needed. We will spend a lot of time in the dining/kitchen and obviously not so much in the mud/laundry, so I am leaning adding the two extra speakers the

I have a Sonos One with Alexa enabled. I also have amazon echo in other rooms in the house. No matter where I go in the house everytime I say the work Alexa the sonos always goes quiet to listen. I tried changed the voice command name still the same thing. I also closed the door in a room upstairs and spoke quietly to the echo in that room and still the sonos goes quiet to listen with the echo in the other room Very frustrating when you are watching TV etc... Any idea how to get stop this pattern and only listen in the room I am in and talking to it?

I received an email from Sonos this week ' Action Suggested' 'Remove Bridge'. I'm not technical minded so I'm asking the question 'Why?' What has changed that Sonos are suggesting I don't need the Bridge anymore? Have anyone of you done this and is the Bridge really not required, if so, why was it required previously? Thank you.

Im not able to play music on my sonos 5.1 system independent of the TV surround sound, how can i fo this?

I'm new here. I'm likely to buy a Sonos amp for my back yard speaker setup. Will there be an update to AMP so that I can add the Sonos amp to a speaker group in Google home? That would clutch it for me. If not, will I have to find a Chromecast audio on eBay and use that? Are there alternatives since CCA is discontinued? Thanks!

Watching a dvd that supports 5.1 I have beam and 2 plays. The trailers and the start up menu are playing in 5.1 but the film itself isn't. Any ideas. About my sonos switches to stereo when film starts.

The Sonos Play 5 Gen 2 has been around since 2015. Does Sonos plan to release a version with built-in Alexa just like the Sonos One? It would be the perfect speaker if has smart speaker capabilities.

I am running IOS12.x and the latest Sonos controller update. I have 2 Pairs of Play:1 paired in seperate rooms as a group and one pair in a third room with a sub. AirPlay doesn't see any of it. From what I am reading, I would need ALL these in a single group (except the Sub) to get Airplay to see any of them, or perhaps break them up into single units, losing the L R stereo sound. Is this correct?

This is NOT a Sonos question; but I don't haunt other fora, and there may be some enthusiasts here that have an answer, hence I am seeing if I can get some advice here. I have a NAD amp of 2012 make, that has an amber light when on standby. When the on button is pressed, it takes a few seconds for the amber to turn green, and for the amp to play. All this, in silence. The fault I am seeing now is this: the light turns to green, and after a few seconds reverts to amber, with a very loud pop from the speakers. Obviously, the amp does not play then. Also, sometimes, this does not happen; the amp performs the way it always has. Questions therefore: [list=1] [*]What could be happening? [*]What is the fix? Setup the new beam today, no problem getting it working. Problem is with lip sync - I have a Samsung UHD 8000 series with Sky (in the UK). Beam is connected via ARC. Tried adjusting delay via the app and TV and can’t get it to sync, so really frustrating. Any ideas? Didn’t have this problem with the Playbar (connected via optical). Thanks Toby

When I switch to a music service on the Playbar, I noticed it affects the volume range for the TV audio. Going from music to the TV--->the audio seems low. I will raise the volume on the remote to hear the TV. It will be about 70-80 (out of 100) on the screen. It is usually at about 20 for the volume and it is fine. There are times that I noticed I reach the max and barely hear the audio from the TV To get out of this condition, I change the volume to zero on the TV and then do the same on the App. The volume then works properly,

I have a Sonos Play 1 that I bought back in 2013 (along with a Sonoso wireless bridge). I'd like to pair it with a Sonos One (Gen 2) AND I'd like to be able to bluetooth to it. Will this technically work? Where I pair the Gen 2 via bluetooth to my phone and I get stereo sound sound played through both the Sonos Play 1 and the Sonos One (Gen 2)?

I am not sure if this should happen but if i use my iPhone Sonos app to play music I can control that series of tracks with my apple watch. I can change the volume, pause and skip tracks plus i get the track names. I cannot add to the playlist or change the speakers or have access to the library. It does not work with iPads or laptops. It seems that once the iPhone app has been opened then the watch can be used. witch does seem logical. I have an original watch series 0 and an iPhone 5s

Is it possible to pair a sonos sub to a connect amp in the same way when pairing to a playbase?

I expect to have a new Sonos 5.1 system (Beam with Ones) in just a couple days and just planning speaker placement. After browsing these forums for about a week I realize my small livingroom is not the ideal room for surround sound. So I'm here asking for opinions and advice. My livingroom is on the smaller side and my sofa (main listening position) is against the rear wall. So there is not an option to place the Ones behind the couch and to make things worse I am not able to sides either (wall or stand). Well maybe one wall as the couch is in a corner. Seems my only option is mounting on the rear wall. With that in mind how should i go about mounting them. Higher up than normal? Facing toward seating area? Angle down? Up? Facing forward? I tried researching this earlier and frankly there doesn't seem to be A CORRECT answer. I found many different solutions some which completely contradicted each other. I live in Guam, which IS A US TERRITORY. We are governed by all US Federal laws, and residents of Guam are US citizens. When I try to set up Voice support, it tells me "Not available in your country." Really? My country is the US. Mind you, this problem is not unique to Sonos. I recently switched my business to an Office 365 platform, and I kid you not, Microsoft absolutely would not charge me in US dollars. They insisted on charging me Australian dollars, even though we are absolutely part of the US and we use exclusively US dollars as our currency. This should be a REALLY simple problem, Computer People! Set your system to "US Territories = US." Why is that so hard? Google can find my IP address on a map, down to within about 100 meters, so I'm pretty sure they can figure out that I'm in the US.

I have a fairly large open kitchen/living room area and have 2 Sonos Ones set up on opposite sides of the room, paired. It does not seem to allow me to have both of the microphones enabled, so I end up shouting at Alexa from across the room if I happen to be sitting near the one on perma -mute. Is this a deliberate design or is there something wrong with my speaker? If I tap the mute button on it nothing happens
