I've seen this topic addressed before, but none of the solutions seem to work for me. I have a ProJect Essential turnable set on PHONO OUT, connected to a Connect (ANALOG AUDIO IN) with cables. Volume Limit: off, at Maximum Volume 100% Line-In Source: Level 10 Use Autoplay Volume: No Line-Out Level: Variable Sound reaches my Soundbar, but volume level is very limited. Volume controls on the Connect have no effect. What setting do I have wrong?

I have a Samsung QLED tv that is hooked up to my playbar but I see there is a WiFi speaker surround sound setup available to have the sound output to my other sonos in my living room. This is grayed our though. Has anyone used this feature and got it to work? Is it grayed out because I have the playbar plugged into the tv?

I’m trying to setup my Echo Spot to play music to my stereo pair of Sonos Ones without having to say “Alexa play music on ,” using the Preferred Speaker setting in the Alexa app’s Groups function. My speaker shows up in the app and I select it as my preferred speaker, but asking Alexa to “play music” as the configuration screen suggests still plays it through the Echo itself. So far, I’ve tried: 1. Disabling the Sonos skill and removing the Sonos as a device, then re-adding it. And 2. Setting up the Alexa group both with and without my speaker in it (both scenarios allow me to set the Sonos pair as my Preferred Speaker). Neither of these have helped. What else should I try? Am I missing something?

Hello, I'm a newbie in the community (but a passionate Sonos user). I got my first Sonos one a few weeks ago. I'm planning to take it temporarily to a friend's vacation house for a few days, which means I will have to unplug and connect to a new wifi network. In my limited experience, I noticed that I would lose all my previous set up, especially the music streaming services (unfortunately I have quite a few to log in). I am really hoping my Sonos will remember all my previous set up, especially the music services when I plug it back to my home. I did some research but did not find anything helpful. Does anyone know what's the best way to do it? Thanks so much.

Our living room is 20x16 feet. I have Denon AVR1601 Dolby Digital Audio/Video Receiver and JBL S26 speakers that I bought used 15 years ago. They still work but we don't use them much at all. We mostly use Spotify with the TV (Samsung Electronics UN40KU7000 40-Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart LED TV -- 2016 Model). We are Apple users and would like to update the sound system setup, which has been clearly neglected. Our kitchen is 20x11 feet. The kitchen is close to the living room (no doors in-between). I just discovered Sonos and need advice. What kind of setup Sonos should I do for the kitchen and the living room? I'm thinking Sonos One for the kitchen. For the living room, I'm still confused. On one hand, I think Sonos Beam would be more than enough for the living room. Maybe expand from there later. In this case, I'll probably get rid of (sell?) my old speakers and receiver. On the other hand wouldn't it be better to get a Sonos Amp and hook the TV and the existing sp

Hi and thanks in advance: I have 2 Sonos Ones, a Play 5, a Playbar and a Playbase. I just got a HomePod. Partially because I was curious and particularly because I am the 1 person who prefers Siri to Alexa. Simple question: If I start music on Sonos is there any way for me to tell the HomePod to play that same music? It seems that the answer is no, but just wanted to double check. I know I can go the other way (have Sonos start playing music I started on the HomePod), which is really very cool. FWIW, my house is an open floor plan and I am getting no latency issues between the Sonos and the HomePod. Sounds great.

I have three zones, 5.1, and 2 2.0. I want to use a single Onkyo reciever (RZ830) with three Sonos connects to play three different streams at the same time. Is this possible? Has anyone connected two or mor connects to a single reciever?

Hi This may have been asked before but I have no idea how to frame a search for my question. I currently have a beam and two play:1s as surround sounds speakers. For music I have set the play:1s to ‘Full’. I am thinking of purchasing the Sonos Sub. My question is how this would it work for music with the Play:1 speakers set to full. Would the sub still be used for music. And should the sub be placed near the play:1 speakers for the best music experience. Don’t get me wrong - I want it to sound good for movies and such but I want to prioritize music. If Sonos bring out new play:3 type speakers I may eventually replace the play:1s for that. I love the stereo separation but two play:5s would be too much for surround sound IMO and my room is not that big! Thoughts and suggestions much appreciated. Thanks Andrew.

So I have a client that has two building separated by a parking lot. The buildings have two completely different network but they do have a site to site VPN tunnel connecting the two networks. For these purposes I'll refer to these as site A and site B going forward. The network at site A is 192.168.1.x and the network at site B is 192.168.2.x The client would like to have a controller on their front desk computer at site A be able to control 2 speaks located at site A and two speakers located at site B that pump music into the customer waiting areas. Is this possible?

Hi all, just got a new tv and a beam, set up using Sky Q and it’s well out of sync, tried using the setting to alter the sync issue but the more I go, the worse it gets. So on 0ms is the beast I can get but it’s out. Connected via HDMI Arc, No issues using Apple TV, or Netflix from the smart tv, just Sky. Any help?? Tv is Sony AF8 oled if that helps. Really frustrating

Just started having this trouble today. I ask Alexa to play a song from Spotify. I receive confirmation from Alexa about the song but then nothing plays. I can play music from the Sonos Controller app on my computer and from the Sonos app itself, but the Spotify app will not connect to my Sonos One. Any help to offer?

Anybody know if the Echo Wall Clock from Amazon will be able to work with the Sonos One? So far the compatibility on the product page just says: [quote]Requires a compatible Echo device, including Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Show, Echo Plus, Echo Spot, or Echo Input.[/quote] If it did work with my Sonos One, it'd be a great addition to my kitchen.

I need some expert advice from the users here. I currently have Sonos through out the house but within my man-room I have my connect hooked up to my record player and it powers the speakers in there. I have a play bar, a sub and I have 2 Sonon 1's in this room. Talking to the Sonos people online they suggested I get an Amp to power my TV which I’ve been trying to do and can’t with the Connect so I ordered one and it came the other day I cannot figure out how to hook this up correctly. And I’m not sure that it can be hooked up the way I need it. I have a TV, Cox cable, DVD player and I have Apple TV. I have four wired speakers in the ceiling. I constantly, move back and forth between the Cable box and Apple TV. So hooking things up through the Sonos Amp through the HDMI which only has one connection. I can run the tv through it but will only get the screen saver, or I can run the cable box through it but get no TV. Talking to the Sonos people online they said it would be g

I have a Sonos Connect and AudioEngine A5+ powered active speakers. I'd like to connect a phonograph turntable. Does the turntable need to have a pre-amp built in? Can it work with or without pre-amp? Part II - I want to put a CD player and my turntable on a switcher so I can choose my input. Does the CD player need a pre-amp?

Hi all. I have 4 Sonos zones and 5yrs of largely trouble free use. Went away for the weekend - upon return I had to reboot Sonos as the iPhone controller wouldn’t connect. Finally got most zones working but one Sonos Play 3 ( TV surround speaker ) and 2 Play 5’s ( Stereo Pair) simply won’t connect. I’ve removed the TV surrounds but one Play 3 still won’t add. And I can’t find the Play 5s at all. I’ve now realised these three speakers don’t have surge protectors - the rest do. Doesn’t seem like a coincidence. Lights are all working on the three problem speakers so may not have totally fried them. FYI, just realised my subwoofer was plugged direct to power without a surge protector but it’s still working. Maybe it’s more robust? Any thoughts on how to tell if that’s the problem? Thanks in advance!

I currently have an Optoma HD31UST projector which acts as my TV and Chromecast device. It has a built in speaker with very poor audio quality. I would like to hook up my two Sonos Play:1 speakers to the projector via a Sonos Connect. The projector has an analog audio out so that should work with the Sonos Connect. I'm just wondering if there will be a delay in the audio, as it will need to go wirelessly via the Connect to the speakers. Does anyone have experience with this? Thanks in advance! Stijn

The alarm feature doesn't seem to work as well after the latest update (version 9.2) (at least not on the Android app interface). I can still set the alarm, and it goes off at the right time, but i no longer have the options to snooze or dismiss the alarm, which is pretty annoying. On the app it just appears as if a song is playing. Anyone else aware / have issues with this? Is that a fix coming for this?

my play 5 emits a static hiss from the speaker when music nothing is playing. there is nothing attached to the line-in and the hiss continues no matter how long all music services have stopped playing for. i have tried unplugging the power supply and replugging it to no avail. my diagnostic support number is 507808388. many thanks for any help as the hiss is extremely frustrating!

I wanted to hang it below but then then the TV would be too high to watch it comfortably. But I’m concerned for the sound e.g. if sound will go upwards and therefore deteriorate. The decoration consideration is not relevant.

Super simple question (I'm sure), but I can't find a clear answer... how does the Sonos AMP select the audio source? I don't see that there is a user selection between streaming audio (Spotify) vs. HDMI vs. RCA inputs... so does the AMP just play the last used source? Meaning if the audio source is from streaming Spotify, and the TV is turned on, then does the AMP automatically switch to the HDMI audio source? and vice-versa (TV is playing but then someone plays Spotify to the AMP... does it just switch automatically?) Hi everybody I would like to hear about experiences from connecting 4 speakers to a Connect:AMP. Both good and bad! I’m building a new house and are able to wire exactly as I’d like. I would like to connect 4 B&W M-1 8-Ohm speakers to my Connect:AMP. Hi, my current configuration is 5.0 since I have not acquired my sub yet. The question is how can I have sound on all the speakers, when the input is only stereo. with the current configuration, I only have sound in the beam. when the input is 5.1 or 2.0 it works properly. Thank you

Hi: I have setup my beam and two sonos one as a home theater system. I am able to turn off white led light of both sonos one. However, there is no way of turning off the light of the beam. Can any of you help me please?
