Hi,i recently bought a Move 2 (not yet received) for the outdoor use on my porch. And now i had that idea, that i can use the Move 2 as a front speaker and my existing one sl as rears for an incredible public viewing of fifa european cup next month.so: can i connect the move 2 with a tv and the sound then goes to the rear one sl’s like my arc is the master to them in my living room.thx for replies and suggestions
I bought an ARC and Sub + a Move and just purchased 2 - ERA 100's. I'm wondering if I should have purchased another Move instead of the ERA 100's. Can the Move's be paired with the ARC/Sub vs 2 ERA 100s
Hi , i have a problem with my sonos roam, it doesn’t light up anymore and doesn’t play any sound or music . it’s recognized by the app , appears as linked with the bluetooth on my phone and on the app. It’s seems to work but the sound doesn’go out . I have a new Move 2 (which is great--I am already thinking about getting a second one!) and want to maximize the battery life (not how long it can charge, how long the battery lasts before needing replacement). While I like the option of portability, I think the Move 2 will spend a lot of its life on the charger. Should I drain the battery sometimes and if so, how often? Any other tips for getting the longest battery life possible?
When i want to connect move via airplay it requires password. How can I reset or delete? thanks
need english instructions
*** Update - its connected *** Hello,I have been experiencing continuous drop outs when trying to listen to my Sonos Roam. I read that I needed to connect to 2.4 instead of 5g. So I reset it while I temporarily disabled the 5g band. How do I now reconnect it to my WIFI? I’ve reconnected my iPhone to WIFI so it's (presumably on 2.4). Opened the SONOS app which helpfully tells me that the roam is not found and to ensure it's connected to WIFI. But that is what I am trying to do.How do I get the thing back onto my WIFI?The LED on the Roam is flashing green.
Hello…..is it possible to charge a Roam speaker using a USB C connection? Not talking about the cable into the speaker, but the other end going into a charging port. The cable provided uses a USB A connection, and I would like use a USB C connection.
I’m using the Beam Gen 2 as a surround sound system with Sinfoniks. I’m considering adding a Roam to listen to the TV sound in another room using the group function. Is this possible?
I want to use my Sonos Roam, which I haven’t used for ages. So when I try to sign in using the Sonos app on my iPhone, it says “Enter the email and password for the Sonos account associated with” - and then it shows an email address I don’t recognise. Finding it impossible to sign in. I’m using the app on an iPhone 14 Max. Thanks
Per the Sonos app, I was informed of the Voice capability of the Sonos Roam but could not find instructions on how to implement it. Thoughts?
So disappointed in Sonos. A brand new iteration of the Move is just announced, the Move 2 which they say has been “redesigned inside and out”, and it still can’t handle basic bluetooth stereo? How many hundreds if not thousands of threads have been created over the past few years on this topic asking Sonos to add this basic feature that ALL of their competitors offer at less than ½ the price? Don’t tell me it can’t be done, you’re fooling yourself if you believe that. This is a choice…one that completely ignores their customers requests.
Hello… Let’s say I’m done using Roam for a period of time but I now want to charge it for my next use. When I power off the Roam, walk it to the charging cable (OEM supplied cable), and plug it in, it powers itself back on and I have to wait for the powering up to complete before I can turn it off again.Just because I’m plugging it in to charge it doesn’t mean I want the device to power on.Questions:Why is this the normal/default behavior of the device and/or what benefit am I overlooking by this behavior? Is there a way to prevent this?Thank you.
I have a brother who’s Samsung Galaxy automagically connects to Bluetooth devices without permission or normal manual pairing. Is there a way to disable Bluetooth from the Move so unauthorized users don’t have access?
I am looking to purchase a Sonos move 2 whilst in USA will it work in the UK as the power rating is different 110V/240V.I am assuming the base has a transformer in it but apart from the plug difference will it case any issues?
BackgroundIf you look through my comments in this forum you will see that I am a big fan of the original Sonos Move. I have a stereo pair and, when set up in the garden, are my favourite speakers. I have a garden room with Two 300s and a sub, which is the best sounding but not portable, nor outdoors. The outdoor listening experience, weather permitting, is great and different and with the two Moves, is my favourite way to listen to music.Move 2 PurchaseSo the Move 2 was announced. Double the battery life and stereo sound from a single unit. So with an upgrade voucher burning a hole in my wallet I decided to upgrade. The Move 1s will always get a decent 2nd hand price. One of the major reasons was the 24hr battery life, anything else would be a plus.Reading through all the reviews, some mentioned better sound and the stereo capabilities of course, but most focused on the extra battery life, touch controls, changes to the charging brick, Bluetooth changes and the line in capability. What
I have a surround setup on my TV (Arc, 2 x Ones and Base). I recently bought a Sonos Move. When playing music on YouTube via my TV i would like to ability to add my Sonos Move as its positioned another part of my open plan kitchen and living area.I know i can select each Sonos device and group when playing via my mobile but how can I do that when playing through my TV? BTW: I am aware Move cannot be connected to surround setup.
I was using my sonos roam by bluetooth to play an audio from youtube video and all of the sudden it’s broken. It let out a loud sound and i can’t even turn off the device. I tried pressing and holding the power button for sometime and it’s still not getting off. The device shows a blue light but it is not blinking like when it was when we want to connect through bluetooth. This happened around 1 hour of using it. I had this speaker for around 3-4 weeks already. How to fix it? Moderator edit: combined posts
I have a home Sonos system with multiple Sonos devices on my home WiFi network. I want to be able to use my Roam at home but also take it to my office where my phone and laptop connect to my work WiFi network. What is the best way to do this so I can use the Roam without having to connect via bluetooth?
Hello All,I have an Arc/One SL/Sub surround sound in my living room, a One SL in the dining room, and a Move in the kitchen to cover my main floor. When I try to group the speakers on that floor with the surround sound being the source (connected to a Vizio TV with the actual source being an Apple TV), the dining room plays fine, but the Move in the kitchen is glitchy if it plays at all. It does get better if i change the delay on the surround, but then the dining room, which was playing fine before, is obviously out of sync with the living room, and I can’t just blast the music if the delay is increased. I did some reading in the forum and it sounds like the Move just isn’t built to handle grouping well. I was wondering if there was any improvement with the Move 2? I like the Move in the kitchen because I can grab it and take it to the deck outside the kitchen, but I’m still limited to starting music directly to it. Anybody know if grouping is better on a Move 2?
I am unable to skip tracks on my Sonos Move1. I can pause a track, adjust the volume up/down, but I haven’t figured out how to skip a track. A link to a video showing how to do this would be helpful.
If I add a move speaker to an existing system where the other speakers don't have Bluetooth, can you play Bluetooth on all speakers as long as the one being used primarily is the move?
I already own a Move and love it, bought new place and will need more sounds on the outside. My current Move “lives” in my garage for work out musics, but pull it outback when I have guests. For the new speaker I am planning on the speaker "living" in the kitchen but when guest come over pulling out with my old move for music outside. Here is my dilemma, I am interested in the new Move 2 however, will it sound funny or noticeably different than my Move 1 when they are both being used as outdoor speakers while entertaining? Or am I just being overly critical? Thank you for your help in advance, Side note, would bonded Move 1’s sound better than Move 1 and Move 2 playing “grouped”
I bought this 2 years ago! And i think it was introduced 2020? Is there already an end of support date announced for this product?
Does anyone know if I need to use the new app for the Move 2? We have some older Sonos speakers upstairs that we’d want to pair with this, but they won’t work on the v2 of the app.
