Portable speakers

I have a brother who’s Samsung Galaxy automagically connects to Bluetooth devices without permission or normal manual pairing. Is there a way to disable Bluetooth from the Move so unauthorized users don’t have access?

I am looking to purchase a Sonos move 2 whilst in USA will it work in the UK as the power rating is different 110V/240V.I am assuming the base has a transformer in it but apart from the plug difference will it case any issues?

I have a surround setup on my TV (Arc, 2 x Ones and Base). I recently bought a Sonos Move.When playing music on YouTube via my TV i would like to ability to add my Sonos Move as its positioned another part of my open plan kitchen and living area.I know i can select each Sonos device and group when playing via my mobile but how can I do that when playing through my TV? BTW: I am aware Move cannot be connected to surround setup.

I was using my sonos roam by bluetooth to play an audio from youtube video and all of the sudden it’s broken. It let out a loud sound and i can’t even turn off the device. I tried pressing and holding the power button for sometime and it’s still not getting off. The device shows a blue light but it is not blinking like when it was when we want to connect through bluetooth. This happened around 1 hour of using it. I had this speaker for around 3-4 weeks already. How to fix it?  Moderator edit: combined posts

I have a home Sonos system with multiple Sonos devices on my home WiFi network. I want to be able to use my Roam at home but also take it to my office where my phone and laptop connect to my work WiFi network. What is the best way to do this so I can use the Roam without having to connect via bluetooth?

Hello All,I have an Arc/One SL/Sub surround sound in my living room, a One SL in the dining room, and a Move in the kitchen to cover my main floor. When I try to group the speakers on that floor with the surround sound being the source (connected to a Vizio TV with the actual source being an Apple TV), the dining room plays fine, but the Move in the kitchen is glitchy if it plays at all. It does get better if i change the delay on the surround, but then the dining room, which was playing fine before, is obviously out of sync with the living room, and I can’t just blast the music if the delay is increased. I did some reading in the forum and it sounds like the Move just isn’t built to handle grouping well. I was wondering if there was any improvement with the Move 2? I like the Move in the kitchen because I can grab it and take it to the deck outside the kitchen, but I’m still limited to starting music directly to it. Anybody know if grouping is better on a Move 2?

I am unable to skip tracks on my Sonos Move1. I can pause a track, adjust the volume up/down, but I haven’t figured out how to skip a track. A link to a video showing how to do this would be helpful.

If I add a move speaker to an existing system where the other speakers don't have Bluetooth, can you play Bluetooth on all speakers as long as the one being used primarily is the move?

I already own a Move and love it, bought new place and will need more sounds on the outside.  My current Move “lives” in my garage for work out musics, but pull it outback when I have guests.  For the new speaker I am planning on the speaker "living" in the kitchen but when guest come over pulling out with my old move for music outside.  Here is my dilemma, I am interested in the new Move 2 however, will it sound funny or noticeably different than my Move 1 when they are both being used as outdoor speakers while entertaining?  Or am I just being overly critical?  Thank you for your help in advance, Side note, would bonded Move 1’s sound better than Move 1 and Move 2 playing “grouped”

I bought this 2 years ago! And i think it was introduced 2020? Is there already an end of support date announced for this product?

Does anyone know if I need to use the new app for the Move 2?  We have some older Sonos speakers upstairs that we’d want to pair with this, but they won’t work on the v2 of the app.

 I hate my Roam (Even more) Seriously, what an unreliable product this is and I regret investing 200 dollars or 4500 pesos Mexicanos on this expensive paperweight that only makes me angry.   After more than 8 months, after replacing my Roam once again, after getting in touch with Tech Support and being told to contact my provider TotalPlay and setup my router which I don’t know and I don’t think anyone in my home knows either and is willing to change just because my Roam has unstability issues,      I keep having these unstability issues with my Roam: music cutting out regardless  of the Music Source, Apple Music, Spotify, even AirPlay stops playing randomly, Alexa, Sonos Voice Control, and chiefly,  Google Assistant work  very unrreliable, and even with Bluetooth there are audio dropouts for 1 second every 15 to 20 minutes or so. No network issues at all, no wireless interference, everything, Absolutely Everything else works rock solid in our Wifi network at home, my iPhone 11, my iPa

i would like to know until which year sonos shall provide battery replacement support on sonos move speaker. if anyone knows answer to this, kindly reply. 

Why isn't stereo pairing via Bluetooth available on either the Move or Roam?I have Bluetooth speakers from 2015 that cost $50 each that have stereo pairing capability.  I spent over $850 on a pair of Move's and was shocked to find they didn't have this capability.  It's a little mind boggling of an audio tech leader (and premium priced) Sonos product. I'd be interested in purchasing a pair of the new Roam's, but without Bluetooth stereo pairing capability, I'm going to pass.  My primary use for these would be the beach, which obviously doesn't have Wi-Fi. Are there any plans to add Bluetooth stereo pairing capability to the Roam or Move?  If not, why?  

HiHas anyone use two Sonos Move speaker as a stereo system?  Or seen a review of such system they can share with me?  I have a Move and am thinking about buying another one to use with it as stereo, before they are discontinued.many thanks

Here the issues from latest:it died in me and I had to reset it to factor settings to get it to do anything but show an orange light.  it won’t play music  if the battery runs out and even after you plug it in.  Most of the time I get music playing and it starts flapping and feels like it doesn’t know where to use wifi or Bluetooth; have to restart the unit the app and some random stuff for 5-10 minute to get it to work. Why do the buttons and lights suck and the lights provide no real feedback from the device in what stupid state it’s in. The whole UX is terrible on the device.  I would never wast my time to create an account to vent but this device deserves it.  So how has your experience bee and what did you do to fix your Sonos Roam?Gave it to someone you hate? Throw it away/recycle it? Never had any problems Your spouse rolls their eyes 👀 every time it doesn’t work Other  

I got my Move 2 today and was sad to see they changed the charging base a bit.  I had bought an extra Move 1 charger to keep in another room to lug it around between rooms without moving the charging base as well.  I’m curious if the Move 2 will charge properly using the Move 1 base?  I’d just try it but afraid it may hurt something in my new Move 2.  I’d really hate to now fork out extra money on yet another extra charger and try to offload this one lol.  

I know it won’t pair Bluetooth but that doesn’t matter to me. But I would like to set up a stereo pair for use in my backyard. A related question: Could I set up a Move 1 and 2 as surrounds with my Beam 2?I understand if it’s possible I’d have to go through set up procedures whenever I change from one to the other, but that’s fine since it won’t be frequent. 

Given the frequent complaints from Sonos community about Sonos Move Battery life, question is : “Will Sonos move 2 battery be compatible with original Sonos move?”

I cannot see two of my Sonos products in the app. I created a stereo pair last evening, with two ERA 100s. It sounds fantastic. Now, I am outside and want to be able to check battery status, etc of my Sonos roams. How can I do this, as the only thing I see in the app is my bedroom group with the speakers I set up last night. The roams are in a group called portable.

I’ve just setup a system with two Roams as a stereo pair on a Wi-Fi network, but during play back sound only comes out of the left hand speaker.  They display as connected in the controller app and the control buttons on both speakers work as expected, it’s just that one speaker is silent :-(.I suspected there might have been a hardware issue with the actual speakers inside the device, but I connected to it with Bluetooth and it plays fine.  Looking around in the controller app there’s a balance control in the EQ settings, but it’s set to 0 (the middle) by default.  Moving it left makes no difference, but moving it right makes everything quiet with it going silent at +20R.So is this some firmware bug?  Or has something gone wrong with my setup that a reset would fix?  Any help appreciated.

I have more than 20 Sonos speakers finally working together in our home. For a vacation rental next week I’d like to take a couple of speakers for use there.  I have one Move and know that w its Bluetooth, I could easily use that without messing with any rental WiFi matters. Does the Move provide a means to incorporate additional Sonos speakers? Or is it the usual process of taking an Ethernet cable and hoping for success w the rental’s router?Would a « travel router » be a good idea to purchase and take with us?And lastly, if we set up a new Sonos network at the rental, will that negatively affect out home’s network when we return and set up our speakers to work again with the residence setup?

I have 3 Wifi access points in my Home. The broadband router is on 2.4GHz channel 1, and a pair of powerline APs are on channels 6 and 11, so there’s minimal overlap between the three. My Roam Alexa and Roam SL are set up as a stereo pair and stand on the same desk as the router, about 1 metre from it. Despite this the Roams regularly connect to one or other of the powerline APs despite the signal strength being considerably lower.  Why?  I’d expect the Roams to go for the best signal. The only difference I can see is that the router only supports a 20MHz channel width while the two powerline APs support 20/40MHz.I’d really like the Roams to connect to the router and start there so they can get straight out onto the internet. If they connect to a powerline AP then any data to them has to come in through the router, out through the local Ethernet powerline adapter, across the ring main, into the remote powerline AP, and out from there over Wi-Fi to the Roams, which is so unnecessary. I know the Roam has Battery Saver and Wifi Power Saver, but it should have the ability to choose to complete power it off after lets say 30min.If i power it off and keep it in the charger stand, it will indicate on Sonos app that it is off and not response, while it still charges to full and stay off.I dont need it to be “online” all the time like the rest of my Sonos One system, and it should have a feature like that, to also save the battery in the long run, and not force me to have to remember to turn it completely off.
