I’ve got some “gunk” on my speaker grill/cover (no idea what it is, or where it came from). Some of the “gunk” is in the speaker grill openings. Anyone with experience cleaning a Roam 1 grill/cover?
My Move has disconnected from my network. I did a factory reset and while adding the Move product have been prompted for an 8 digit passcode which I don’t have. How do I bypass this step to complete the installation process?
In the past week, i have had to shout at Sonos one several times to get its attention. Up until then, it worked fine. I did nothing to change it.
I noticed my Sonos Move had disappeared off my system when I returned from a holiday. I tried many times to reconnect it to my network but it didn’t work - although it did reach the stage where it asked for a network password at one stage. After a couple of hours trying, the Move powered off and no lights have appeared since. Is there a way to resurrect it?
Move 2 stops playing when some louder voices are detected, despite having voice control off. It works well when the room is quiet . It automatically resumes music after 30 40 seconds after the stop. Other speakers continue playing during the same time
Why my Sonos roam will not register and why is your software like a third grader did it
In bluetooth mode, can a Roam be stereo paired with another Roam?In bluetooth mode, can a Move be stereo paired with another Move? Having just returned from holiday, and taken a pair of echo dots, then had the daily wrestle with the hotel wifi to get them working as a pair, I decided that bluetooth speakers that I could pair in stereo was the way to go.Having looked at the market, prices of well-reviewed brands, Megaboom for example, are similar to the Roam. Then, looking on from that, the Move then offers sound quality comparable to the Era 100, so why not use a pair of those on holiday because I can just walk out the door and there are no complicated shenanigans to set them up at a hotel, then reset them at home for integrated use. Any thoughts? ...purely on stereo pairing the same species?
[forgive the typo in the headline, can’t edit that]I setup my brand new Move 2 using the app over my gigabit mesh WiFi (so speed isn’t a factor) but when I try to play music from Spotify or Pandora on the Move 2 it cuts in and out like ‘picket fencing’. Horribly annoying. If I use the crappy Sonos app it doesn’t do it as much, so I believe it’s something to do with Apple AirPlay. However, I can stream to my Bose ear buds and JBL Bluetooth speakers just fine using AirPlay so what the deal. Does Sonos want to force me to use their app?
i have managed to have my Roam speak connected to my Ray Soundbar for the past 18 months or more, this week I took the room speak away with me and connected to another network. Since coming home I reconnected my Roam speaker and it’s not on the app anymore however my RAY and SUB are connected and playing TV sounds. The roam will only play dual music via Spotify with the Ray, and still wont show as a solo ‘Roam’ device on the app. I have spent the last 3 days trying to work it out….. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!
What does the battery symbol with a lighten blot through next my sono move when trying to hook up to my system. ?
Hi all,Having a weird issue with my Sonos Roam. Its on its charging base but seems to power down after a while. If i remove from the base and direct charge from a cable it works fine. And stays on and doesnt power down. But if i put it back on the stand it turns off after a while. It doesnt seem to be a battery drain issue as it has battery when i turn the roam back on with no power source. Ive tried plugging the wireless charging stand to different plugs and usb a plugs. But same result.Has anyone experienced this?Has my roam charging stand gone faulty in a weird way. Any advice
I am able to successfully pair my Move 2 to the app and wifi network. I then get the message that it may not show in my system and tells me if that is the case to hold down the power button for 5 seconds, to basically reboot the Move 2. Then turn the move 2 back on and add it into the system. But it never shows up. I’ve tried the reset, updating the app, opening/closing the app, etc. still won’t show up. What do you do from here?
How do I get the move2 to play what the beam is playing.
About a week ago, I was leaving for a trip and was charging my Roam 2 to take it. I noticed while using the app that it was actually loosing charge not charging. I was using a wall charger that is PD20W that I bought specifically to charge it. Since then it has completely lost charge and won’t turn on. The app doesn’t recognize it so I can’t check to see the battery level. This is really badly designed. Fist of, why do I need to have it connected to a specific wifi for the app to be able to see it? This is so dumb… also, why is there no way to see the battery level on the actual device or even in the app without using the wifi thing so I can see if it’s actually charging or not.I’ve only used it like 5 times and it seems this is a common issue sinece the Sonos Roam 1 and it still hasn’t been fixed. Why?Also, for the cost of the Sonos Roam 2 you could’ve included the wall charger. This is the worst experience I’ve had with a bluetooth speaker! Is there a way to make it charge and turn on
CONFIG:MacBook Pro 16” M1 Max running latest OS (Sonoma 14.5) Sonos Move SITUATION: out traveling and want to watch downloaded movies through Apple TV app on my MacBook Pro. Tried 100x but no luck getting audio to play over Sonos Move - why not?! I can successfully listen to audio from Apple “Music” app without a problem at home over wifi. I also CAN get audio to play on the Move from my iPhone over Bluetooth (obviously, when we’re on the go, there’s no WiFi network) but no/never audio from the Apple “TV” application for movies. what’s going on?
Hi everyone. I thought my Roam was dead. All it displayed was an orange light. Could not switch off/ on or reset, tried all the button in for 15 / 30 seconds, still dead.I know this has been the subject of several threads on here, so I thought I would share my experience.Tried everything, was actually in phone queue waiting to speak to Sonos Support, looked up, and hey presto, all was well, I had a white light and everything was working fine. I know it’s bizarre, but if all else fails be patient.
Le pavé tactile ne réagit plus ainsi que les boutons à l arrière il est donc lmpossible de réinitialiser l appareil Que dois je faire Moderator Note - Translation by Google:The touchpad no longer reacts as well as the buttons on the back so it is impossible to reset the device What should I do
My sonos roam 1 failed to work and support sent me a new model as replacement.i was first glad to see that new device was a sonos roam 2, but I quickly switched to disappointment as for no reason (?) sonos roam 2 is unable to work with Google Assistant…I was not advised of this at any point… and this is a huge pain for me as all my Domotic devices work with GA. How will you fix this, please?cannot stay like this.
Bonjour, For several days, it has been impossible to connect to my Roam speakers in AirPlayThe messages I have are:AirPlay Connection to "Roam G" impossible. This speaker is configured so that people who share this house can access it. To listen to the audio content of this Mac on these speakers, change the setting of the "Home" app to allow "People connected to the same network" Yet my settings in the "Home" app on all my devices (AppleTV, iPhone, iPad) are of course: "People connected to the same network" I restarted all my devices, I changed the settings in the "Home" app by doing several tests, nothing works My devices are up to date with the latest Apple and Sonos software versions. Thank you for your help in advance
Got a new router.
Roam not working as stereo pair.
My Roam for no reason just stopped working. I have screwed with it for hours and finally just reset everything back to factory. It still does not work. I listens and says it is playing music but it does not. I have never had so much trouble in years with a piece of electronics. (not the first trouble with this).I may just keep taking them back to Costco instead of trying to make them work.I have found that just leaving it for a few days magically makes it work but not this time. Sonos has problems.
I have a Sonos Move and Move 2. I moved wifi and am looking to set them up as a system on the new wifi. I open the system settings in the app and select “update network”. I follow all the steps and everything seems to work. I click done and none of my products are connected and it asks if I’d like to update the network. This is like Groundhog Day and horribly frustrating so any help would be great
Can’t get Sonos Move to connect. Just blinking orange and white. Won’t go to green.
My Roam died and was replaced by a Roam 2. Thanks, Sonos! No problem setting up the Roam back in January 2023. However, I have yet to set up the replacement Roam 2 despite numerous attempts. Asks for my WiFi password then fails to connect. SSID and password are correct.Might be an issue with mDNS?What does the App and Roam 2 expect to be provided by the WiFi network? The App seems to be issuing: Standard query 0x0005 PTR _sonos._tcp.local, "QM" question but not receiving a reply …Note that I only have the single Roam 2 and an Android mobile to run the App. No access to Apple devices or wired Sonos devices.
