I just wanted to share my experience using Sonos products in rather unorthodox setup. My setup includes LG A2 OLED TV, Chromecast with Google TV 4K and two Sonos Roam.My goal was to have somewhat surround sound for my TV with as few as possible cables and maximum flexibility in terms of devises’ placement. The TV is located in a small bedroom on the wall, two Sonos Roam on both sides of the bed. I chose to use Chromecast with Google TV because by default LG TV drops the bluetooth connection every time you switch it off. I instead paired via bluetooth Sonos and Chromecast. Chromecast and (already stereo-paired via Wi-Fi) Sonos Roam stay connected if you adjust Roam’s settings: Bluetooth → Always Auto-Connect: Yes → Idle Auto-Disconnect: NoBattery → Battery Saver: No → WiFi Power Save: YesAbility to adjust Balance in Roam’s EQ settings gives you more flexibility in terms of placing your speakers, they don’t have to be positioned at the same distance from the listener and Roam’s exclusive

I’m installing a Sonos Arc, Sub gen 3 and two Era 300 rear speakers to create a surround sound setup in the below reception room. The 65” TV will be mounted on the wall with an Arc underneath it where the fireplace is shown on this plan. TV height will be around eye level when seated (if relevant door is going to open against the other wall too). What I’m not sure is the positioning of where to put the two Era 300 rear speakers. They’re going to be wall mounted, and I’m thinking I’m thinking one of two options shown below in blue and red.The red option looks more aligned with recommended placement, but I’m concerned they may be too close together — there will be a 3 seater sofa against that wall which will be the primary viewing spot. The blue option is centred better for the room and less noticeable. But I’d need them pointing down and my concern is its too high and goes against the recommended placement from Sonos.I’d be grateful for recommendations on optimum placement. Given the setup

Hello everyone,I would like to have your opinion and your suggestions on the future placement of my Era 300 which I will receive shortly. I already have a Sonos Beam 2 (in white on the TV cabinet) and a Sonos Sub Gen 3 which is under my cabinet. Currently I also have 2 sound systems, one which is to the right of my sofa at window level and the other above the black furniture in my kitchen. I was thinking of putting the first era 300 (number 1) just behind my sofa with a stand to be at listening height. And the other on my kitchen cabinet in 2.  Is this the optimal placement or do you have other ideas? Thanks in advance for your anwsers :)

Dear Community, I’ve just bought a second subwoofer. The first one is placed underneath by couch. My girlfriend doesn’t want to look at the subwoofer. Is it counterproductive or silly to place the second subwoofer under the couch as well? What would a great place to put it if the first one has to stay under the couch, and I can negotiate to place the second sub somewhere else?

Hi All,I just purchased a pair of ERA 100s that I’ve paired with my Beam Gen 2. When watching TV, about 90% of the sound seems to come from the Beam and the only sound that comes from the ERA 100s are slight background sounds but no voice. Is this normal? Thanks

Hi I would like to connect my device to Sonos to listen to music

Hi, I have the Arc connected to the TV / HDMI ARC I do get the Dolby Atmos when watching Disney plus When using the Bluray : a 4K Ultra / the Arc is indicating Stereo PCM The Arc with my TV on regular cable shows Dobly Digital plus when watching TVThe movie is the same on both samplesThe movie on 4K is set to the highest Dobly setting 5.1…… the TV is set to Dolby Digital plus output I have adjusted all possible types of settings on Audio outputs The TV is a Sony XBR-75X900E Does anyone have any possible solutions?

So Sonos came with the Era series this year and some of  customers were under the impression that the Era 100 being a replacement for the Ones were going to be see an upgrade that included upward firing speakers for rear surround applications.. However this didn’t happen..   Era 300 offers a 7.1 upgrade from traditional 5.1 but was introduced as a stand alone speaker specifically not as dedicated rear theater speakers and is pretty large in size which isn’t always applicable for most standard size rooms to be used as rears. They also come with a hefty price so that brings the question .. 1. Will Sonos design a Atmos rear speaker that allows you to upgrade from 5.1 to 7.1, that is smaller/ corner friendly that is a more affordable option to suit customers that have standard size living spaces?  something similar to the Ones’s or Era 100’s esthetic design with upward firing speakers and 7.1???

How do I get my wireless network to take the SUB with an Arc

why cant the overpriced sub pair up with arc?

I have two architectural Sonos in wall speakers that I will be using for my rear surround sound speakers.Should I mount both speakers on the back wall or one on the back wall/one on right wall?I believe back wall is the preferred but majority of the time we will be sitting in the corner of the couch.See below for the proposed locations.

I just go a pair of Era 300s.  I have set them up as a Stereo pair room/group.  I then added them as grouped fronts to my Beam2, Ikea rears and Sub2, set up for TV.  When is listen to Movies and Music from my Apple TV the combined systems works great and produces awesome Dolby Atmos audio with no discernible synch problems.  The combined group works fine.  However when I just want to listen to the Apple Music Radio App from Sonos the right stereo 300 keeps going off.  I’ve done trouble shooting suggested by Sonos support, but the right Era 300 keeps dropping.  If I set that speaker up as a solo unit the Apple radio app works fine and the lone speaker stays on and Dolby Atmos works. Is the problem due to some interference issue which I can resolve, or is there something defective with the particular speaker?  Ideas, comments, or suggestions please? Armando

I have a sonos arc, a Sub and 2 play 5 (2 Gen). What are your recomendations for building a home cinema system with these speakers? I can put the play 5 as surround speakers, but i can still listen to music in stereo with them? With this setup will lost the power that a play 5 can bring in stereo music ? Thanks in advanced for your attention!!!!

Hello, I am looking to upgrade to Sonos in my living room and use some existing hardwire speakers. Currently I have a hard wired center speaker, SUB and Rear R and L In Wall Speakers, all traditional wired. All of this speaker wiring goes back to a network rack in another room of the house. What I would like to do is get a Sonos ARC or Beam Soundbar to replace the center speaker and connect it to my TV with HDMI/ARC port. Then I’d like to pair it with a Sonos AMP to drive the existing SUB and R/L Rear Speakers. Can this be done where the Soundbar will use the AMP to drive the REAR R/L and SUB channels? Any links to KB articles or how-to? I read another post where this is supposed to be possible but it says the AMP and Soundbar have to be line of sight in the same room which has me concerned and confused. If the to Sonos products are on the same LAN, why do they need to be in the same room. Due to the construction of the room and the fact that the wiring is already run to another room, l

Hello, im interested in buying the sonos arc. I had several concerns that i couldn't find the answers on the internet. I live in a apartment with a more/less16sq meter living room. I have neighbour's all around me and some of them dont like noise. im interested how does the arc sound on lower volumes, do you also get the full sound and details on lower volumes and is it an overkill for my size of living room. im not interested in playing it crazy loud, just want a good sound quality on "normal” lower volumes

Howdy,I was wondering if anyone knows how to get the grill replaced on Sonos Arc?In short - i had decorators install a media wall, they mounted the Arc and didn’t cover it properly and as a result there are some faint smudges of paint which i want to either remove or just replace the grill.I did cheekily ask customer service for an exchange as the Arc is less than 30 days old, obviously they wouldn’t due to the nature of the damage (which i fully understand - the person will not replace the Arc either so technically I am liable, which i get - this is not about who is liable etc).I also asked cust service if i can send the ARC back and pay for a replacement grill, and was told that Sonos do not offer replacements (which i find insane for an org that manufactures speakers), and suggested i take it to a 3rd party supplier and in-turn void my warranty (which i wasn’t happy about - why would Sonos even suggest i do this? Weird). So - in summary - does anyone have any suggestions of how to r

i have recently bought and moved into a property with Sonos set up - which is great!I have two Sonos Connect:Amp which work great over WiFi and I have no issues.there is also a Sonos Connect which is connected to a surround sound in the living room (5 speakers) but is routed through a dvd player. I have plugged it into the router and added it to my account to try and get it to play over WiFi but it’s not working…and I’ve tried to connect to my tv which does work but only through a dvd player I am never going to use versus my main tv provider or Amazon fire sticki am not hugely tech savvy so I’ve tried reading forums but got lost…is there anything I can do to connect the speakers over wifi or swap out the dvd player to anything else. It feels a shame to waste what someone has very lovingly invested in. i should also say all the products are S1thanks so much in advance Lauren

Hi all - Looking to purchase my first Sonos product and trying to decide what would be best for my living room set up used for movies and music. Room is around 20x15 but it’s an open concept to kitchen. Right now the immersive beam set (beam gen2, 2 era 100s and mini sub) vs the arc with the big sub are around the same price  What would be the best bang for my buck? Thank you in advance looking forward to the discussion.

Dear friends,I am attempting to connect my Arc with the projector in my entertainment room which are at two ends of the room. I do NOT want to cut my ceiling to hide the cables. Question: What are the consequences of setting the Arc behind my seating? Or can it ONLY be placed in front of the viewer? Thanks!

My old Sonos Playbar is done.   I want to buy a Sonos Arc but note that it is only compatible with HDMI Arc.  I only have an optical cable coming out of my TV.  Is there an adapter I can use to connect my optical cable to the Sonos Arc?

Hello,I just bought Sonos Arc and two Sonos One. I own the LG Tv lg65qned826qb. The TV keeps turning on on its own after 30 secs. I called the LG Customer Service and they claim it is a speaker’s issue. I tried disconnecting everything and reconnecting but the problem persists.is there anything I could do apart from putting the cable on and off the Arc HDMI port? Any other trick? thanks!

I have a beam gen 1 and recently found an open box Arc for $400. I hooked it up and will have to say I am not impressed with the Arc. It didn’t have a wow facture to me. All of my TV settings are correct on my 1 Year old Sony TV. I tried trueplay but it didn’t seam to make a difference. I am debating on returning the arc and getting a mini sub for the gen 1 or returning the arc and getting a gen2. I don’t have the money to purchase a sub for the arc just to make it sound better.

Setting up Era 100 speakers as surround with Arc setup has been running for 30 mins and still going should it take this long ?any remedy?thank you
