I’ve had my system for quite some time now, and though this issue has happened in the past, it’s started to happen a lot more often lately. From all my scouring of forums, everything should be set up correct in terms of settings, etc. LG CXThis is set to eARC and with the settings to pass though with the HDMI input set to Bitstream.Apple TV 4kI have this set to allow Dolby Atmos. I almost never have issues when listening to Atmos (usually via Disney+).ArcTruplay on. No real different settings done on this side. There has been several scenarios that bring up this issue:Switching from Dolby Atmos to Multichannel 5.1/7.1When going from an Atmos enabled movie (say Endgame on Disney+) to a Multichannel tv show on Hulu or Paramount+, the sound goes from working perfectly fine to nothing at all with no signal detected. If I try to switch back to an Atmos movie, sometimes the sound plays again, sometimes it doesn’t.Pausing during a Multichannel 5.1/7.1 Show/MovieLately it’s watching Star Trek

I currently have an Arc, AMP and a Move.  I have the AMP hooked up to a pair of speakers and linked to the Arc for surround sound on the TV.  I also have a 3rd party (Polk-audio self powered) sub-woofer that I’m trying to integrate with the AMP to enhance the surround sound but it doesn’t seem to be working. I use the app for that room and tap “connect sub” but the app can’t find the sub.  Any suggestions?  Are there unique connections that need to be made? 

Hello,I have a Beam 2 with 2x SLs and a SUB connected to my Samsung TV via eArc. This setup worked well for a few weeks, but then the system started randomly cutting sound and connecting to the internal TV speaker for about 5 seconds. Then switching back. This can happen between one time per day to about once every five minutes, rendering the system useless.I have tried multiple things for weeks:The issue also occurs when streaming through the TV internal netflix app, not only when watching HDMI from my set top box - The issue seems not to have anything to do with the set top box.I have connected to the optical port on the TV instead of the eArc - No changeI have connected to the optical port on the set top box - No changeI have also tried basically all settings available on the TV and on the Sonos. Updated everything yesterday (March 11, 2022) - No change.I have run the system on Ethernet cable or Wifi - No changeMy conclusion is that the beam just goes into some sleep mode for an unk

Hey there, A week ago I had to unplug one of the Symfonisk surrounds in my system. Upon plugging it back in, no sound was heard though the other surround continued to function as normal. In the app I had an option to “fix surrounds”, which just told me I had to have two speakers for surround use. I reset the errant speaker and it showed up in the app again, in a new room called “Living Room 2” for some reason. Under the System tab in the app, in the Living Room, it shows (+?+RS) with only the Beam listed. If I open the room, it shows the Beam and the Symfonisk (Right) but no left, along with an option to Set up Surrounds. Choosing this option, it tells me that BOTH surrounds are in other rooms and offers to move them to Living Room. OK, did that, then it plays the noise through the Right surround and I tap on it and it tells me it’s adding surrounds and it may take a moment. Five minutes later I get the error, “There was a problem adding surrounds” and tells me to try again. I tried re

Hi, I connected my sonos beam with the adapter hdmi-optical to my schiit hel2 DAC/AMP but it doesn't work, no sound come from the soundbar. I also installed the s2 software and tryed with my creative x3 and it works. Any suggestions? How can I fix it? Thanks

Hello all, I am currently experiencing popping noise on my ARC and both of my rear One SL’s. Before I buy all new cords I was going to look for any suggestions from the community. I have them all plugged in via good ethernet cables either directly into my router, or via a managed switch. I really don’t know what I’m doing and I’m sorry to bug people with a question that has an infinite number of possible issues. But I figured I would give it a try! My diagnostic number I got from the app is 1329559578 If there is additional information I can give please advise! EDIT: It does not happen ALL the time. But enough that over the past year or so it’s driven me crazy enough to finally post here

Ever since my power went out, my Arc will not connect to the Play 1’s that I use as surrounds. I can add them as a stereo pair, but they don’t function as surrounds.   

My arc sound bar is connected via hdmi to my tv. The audio cuts in/out approximately 6-8 times during a 1 hour session. This has been happening for 2 weeks now, and I just purchased and set the system up on Feb 12, 2022. The diagnostic confirmation number is 1926946633. 

I have the following setup:HARDWARE- Philips 55OLED856/12- AppleTV 4K (2nd Gen)- Sonos Arc, Sonos Sub, 2 Sonos One’s as SurroundsCONNECTIONS- Sonos Arc connected via HDMI-2 - eArc- AppleTV Connected to HDMI-1 - ArcTV Audio Settings- Audio Output - HDMI Sound System- eARC - Automatic- Digital Out Format - Multichannel (bypass)AppleTV Audio Settings- Audio Output - Receiver Speakers- Audio Format - Auto- Audio Mode - Auto When playing video from AppleTV that is in DolbyAtmos/DolbyVision all the sound is sent to the correct channels. When playing video that is not in DolbyAtmos (normally from Disney+, Netflix or Amazon Video) the audio is not being sent to the correct audio channels. It seems that the Voice Audio that would normally come from the centre channel is being sent to the rear surround channels. I have tested and this appears to be only be happening when the video/audio is coming from the AppleTV. Setup: Windows 11RTX 3090Sonos ArcPhilips OLED856 IssueAfter a certain period of time (15 minutes to an hour), the regular sound cuts out, and the only sound output from my Sonos arc is a very loud static sound.This only happens when I have Dolby Atmos is enabled in the windows sound configuration (when using stereo mode, this hasn't occurred). I've tried switching the HDMI cables from the PC to TV, and this did not help (in one case, when I used DVI to HDMI, it made it worse, and the only sound was the aforementioned static).I am not sure where the issue is coming from (i.e. TV, GPU, etc.), which makes debugging much harder, so I wondered if anyone has experienced this. 

I just got my first SONOS - a Beam 2. All set up nicely and easily with the clear guide. However I have to use the optical link as it is an older TV. The sound sometimes stutters as if the cable is loose. It’s the first time I have used optical - should it click firmly in place ? I am a bit wary of using force.Thanks - I know it may seem a very basic questionNic

Hi, Has anyone figured out a way to install Sonos Beam Gen 2 sound bar onto Mantle Mount MM540 pull down TV mount. I got the Sonos Wall mount for beam and tried to hook it up the mount unsuccessfully. Checking with the sonos community to see if anyone had this figured out. Appreciate your help in advance.regards!p

Hello, Hope you are all doing good. I have 2 Move and a Roam devices. They work well, i have no problem with them and are configured in the app of my android device as well as the app of my iPad.The sound bar I bought years ago for my TV started not to work properly anymore and there was a sale at the shop so i decided to buy the Beam (gen2) .I started the app, it detected the Beam, everything configured, sound is coming out and ...suddenly… no more Move not even Roam. they just completely disappeared from the app and are not coming back to it unless i unplug the beam from the power outlet and wait for several minutes. I deleted and reinstalled the app, thinking it’s coming from there. I also restarted my router ...nothing works.Did this happen to anyone else ? and does someone know how to solve it ?Thanks a lot for your help 

Hi everyoneI currently have a system which uses the Arc as a front speaker and two Sonos Five as rear speakers. Now I wanted to add an Amp which is supposed to be used as an input for my record player and is currently not used to add any stereo speakers. Unfortunately I cannot get this to work.When I want to configure the amp it just gives me three options:Use Amp as stereo speakes Use Amp as front speakers Use Amp as surround SpeakerNon of these options let me just integrate the Amp in my existing system and use it as an amp for the record player and input to the system. Am I missing something?Thanks in advance for any help. Edit: OHHHHHH i figured it out. Not very entuitive but maybe I had a stupid moment.

I have a playbar and a sonus sub gen 2. Been working like a dream for years. The other day I noticed that the sub seems to be making a slight buzzing noise.  I have unplugged it and plugged it in from the mains and the disconnected the power lead. Any help or advice guys please? 

I have a TCL 65R635 (Roku) television and am trying to figure out why, when setting audio to passthrough, it only sees two formats available to passthrough to the Sonos Arc: Dolby Atmos and DTS Digital Surround. The problem is that I am trying to get my PlayStation 5 to output audio in either Linear PCM 5.1 or even at least Dolby Digital Plus, but because the tv only sees those two as the formats the Arc accepts via passthrough, it reduces Linear PCM to stereo channels or Dolby bitstream to just Dolby Digital, not plus or TrueHD.I am struggling to understand where the problem is here. My interpretation is that my tv is becoming a gatekeeper to what audio formats can be passed through to the Arc, communicating that to the PS5, and the tv sees the Arc only accepting two audio formats via eARC.Can anyone help me understand how the Arc can communicate via eARC that it can accept Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, and Linear PCM 5.1 so the corresponding devices will output appropriately?

All was working fine for a month with my older Panasonic TV, with an HDMI ARC connection. Then it stopped working. I have plugged and unplugged the HDMI cable, the power, etc, and done all the connection exercises in the Sonos app. It’s not easy to see when the app/software was updated, so I could believe this was a Sonos update, but I don’t know.Target has a pretty good return policy, so I’ll try once or twice more, but then just return it.

Hi all. I recently started having issues on my simple setup consisting of Apple TV , Beam and 2 symphonisks. Beam would not recognize ARC connection and I could only get output using internal tv speakers. Factory reset of Sonos system and reset and firmware update of tv did not resolve the issue. It appears that portal tv was stealing ARC/disabling it. After unplugging the portal and rebooting sound system I have restored my sound. Leaving portal unplugged or returning. Not sure what to do yet. 

I linked my beam to the app and it connects easily, but once I've hit done it then doesn't show in the app. I tried factory resetting 3-4 times and relinking and it the same, even tried linking with an Ethernet cable and still nothing in the app. Im lost??Anyone had this problem and have a solution?

Hi, i’ve just bought a new Sonos Home Cinema System with ARC soundbar, sub gen 3 and two One SL surround and the connection is via HDMI eArc port. Very simple to setup.I’m very impressed about the sound of this home cinema system.I came from a very old Bose lifestyle 18 series III so… I’ve only one thing to ask that i don’t understand and it’s about the ability to control the soundbar volume via the Samsung remote also when i play music via Sonos Radio app or others services on my iPhone. Never tried to connect The Sonos ARC via toslink adapter but if you say that it will work this way i will try to connect via the hdmi/optical adapter in the box (i don’t care about loosing dolby atmos)My Tv is a Frame 55” (2021) with solar cell remote that can handle volume up and down without problems (i only see + and - on tv instead of numbers).Thanks in advance for your replies

Im sure this has been covered so sorry if it's a repeat question but I genuinely couldn't find the answer I was looking for . I have had a stereo pair of play 1s for a while and been really happy with them but I wanted to watch YouTube on TV and play music through my play 1s. So I I've just introduced a beam, to connect to the pair of 1s. Here are my questions 😁 If I group them all together, I'm assuming they are no longer playing in stereo? (I need to group them if I want to use them with my YouTube music on my TV) My play ones are beside my TV and I'm unable to move them for surround sound, would I be better just using the beam for Movies without the play 1s? If I just want to steam music from my phone, can I have a separate group just to use the play 1s as a stereo pair without the beam and if so how? Thanks. 

I have a sound system with playbar, sub and speaker. Everything was working well and recently I changed the TV. When I reconnected the playbar the sub and the speakers, I noticed that the sub and surround speakers were no longer working. When I looked in the app, I no longer saw the sub and surround speakers. So I restarted the sub to reconfigure it. Everything semms to works well and when the application tells me to wait during the pairing of playbar and sub. And suddenly a message appears''There was a problem adding your sub. Check your network connection and make sure your product is turned on. ''The same thing happens with the surround speakers. I don’t understand because I’m able to play them individually.So right now I only have playbar that works for the TV. It’s impossible to connect the others. But everything worked well before. Can someone help me?

My Beam soundbar only occasionally connects to my TV without a bunch of extra effort.  What do I need to do to fix this?   Nevermind.  Google tells me this is a common problem.  The easiest solution is to return it to Costco.
