Hello, I am a relatively new Sonos user. I do enjoy a good sounding system.Currently I own the arc and sun gen3. I find the midbass very much lacking specially in alternative music however if I turn up the bass in eq or sub volume the kick drums gets really powerful and sometimes annoyingly punchy.One example may be La Calin by Serhat Durmus. I know this song well and the bass doesnot sound like anything it’s supposed to. does anyone else has the same problem or is it just me. thanks  

Hi all, Less than a month back I joined Sonos world and started with Sonos Arc. Last night picked up Sonos Sub Mini.  What’s the best settings you guys would recommend for optimal sound performance. Does the EQ bass decrease,  reduce it for Sub Mini or just the Arc? ? It’s pretty confusing and sonos isn’t responding yet.  Additionally, do you guys prefer putting Sonos Sub Mini near couch or next to TV stand?  Thank you!

Can I use a connect:amp s2 to connect ceiling speakers to beam gen 2 for surround sound?

Do I require a separate amp when using this system?Thank you

My tv (2018 or 2019 Panasonic  TX-55FX555B) only has normal arc. It apparently doesn’t have dolby digital plus that I read is needed to support an external soundbar with atmos. Is that true? So no point in buying the beam?

I’ve been having problems with the Sub (Gen 3) for some time now. I have the Arc/Sub Gen 3/One SL in a home theatre with the Sony XR-83A90J. There’s this faint sound the subwoofer makes everytime the TV is turned on, it didn’t happen in the beginning. I’m not sure why it happens now. When watching a movie the impression is that the subwoofer is not there sometimes while other times it’s like it’s just making this loud one-note bass sound that is too much and very annoying. I tried playing a Dolby Atmos 5.1.2 test tone and while all channels sound as they should from the other speakers, the subwoofer channel is not heard from the Sub but the Arc.I use this file here https://www.demolandia.net/downloads.html?id=2259505.The system is tuned with Trueplay with no further adjustments.Any ideas? My Arc was replaced recently because of some issues with the sound from the whole system, I’m wondering if the Sub needs to be replaced as well.

There maybe issues but the support team and community folks will always help as always. Afraid the latest update to 15.1 although completed and installed leaves trueplay and tv set up greyed out and requests update but seems to be in a non functioning loop. Does not inspire for Era update.

Hi All, Since this morning my Arc is sending out a short burst of 4 to 5 beeps (very fast in a row) every 5 minutes. As far as I know I have not changed anything in the system.It’s quite anoying. Does anybody have a clue where this sound comes from? edit : it doesn’t matter if the Arc is on and produces sound, the beep is still hears exactly every 5 minutes. Thanks,

Arc, Sub, 2x SL     new LG TV with eARC   Media Players:  Webos, Shield Pro,  AppleTV, XBOXThis is weird,  if the Netflix title says Atmos = great.  But only some of the 4 players work with the sonos app indicating atmos.    You would think it would be consistent.    The XBOX is the most consistent.egWatch Peaky Blinders on Shield, app says Dolby Mutlichannel PCM 2.0 Watch Peaky Blinders on XBOX, app says Dolby Atmos Watch F1 Drive to Survive on Shield, app sys Dolby Atmos Simplistically this leads to me thinking all Netflix atmos tiles are are not the same/different on different platforms.weirdness      

Have arc,sub and two one SLs in the same room. ARC is registered to another room. Need to change so that all the components registered to the same room

I currently have 2 play 1s, an arc, and a sub for surround sound. Can I get 2 one sls to add to this setup for 5.1 surround sound or do all 4 of my satellite speakers have to be the same. I know u can't pair a play one with and sl but wasn't sure if 2 of each would work

Hi recently added a second play 5 and set up with TV and Beam but now unable to connect to my line in for turntable it’s now longer there on my app? Any ideas

How can I get my 3rd gen Apple TV 4K to work with my Sonos arc and lg tv to play the higher quality sound options.  My tv has eArc and passthrough both enabled but the Apple TV either gives me pcm or 5.1.  That’s it.  If I watch anything through my smart tv apps I get the higher quality sound.  Is there a setup or another device I need to hookup in order to achieve the sound quality I want when streaming through my Apple TV?

If using Fives for surround speakers with my Arc, do I stand up hem up vertically or lay them horizontal? Thanks again 

Hi.  I wanted to buy a soundbar that i would use mostly for nintendo playing and tv watching. I was oriented towards the Beam 2 but I own a 2019 Panasonic TV that only supports normal ARC. I’ve been reading around about the many sound issues between the beam and the switch since the latter supports LPCM 5.1 audio.Around I read that I would have to connect the switch to the soundbar and the soundbar to the tv, but looks like the beam only has 1 HDMI port. Would I be wasting my money? 

Hi, I know there are countless issues with this setup but fortunately I do not suffer from any of the regular problems. The issue I have is a problem mainly with the voices on any app on the Apple TV 4K, the voices especially male voice seem to be distorted almost too deep and slightly slowed down (they sound like Bane) but there are no audio/picture sync problems. If I use the tv ‘s built in apps with the same shows the problem is not there, I can only replicate the problem with the apps on the apple tv. My Sonos sub sound is slightly delayed (lags behind the other speaker sound)… maybe less than half a second, but noticeably detracts from the listening quality. My 4 wall speakers and sub are all hard wired into the same Sonos Amp.I have tried to retune using Trueplay, reconnected, and tried the wireless setup, but all without success. Any ideas?

Hi I’ve turned the TV on this evening and there was no sound from the arc so I have had to disable and use the tv speakers any advice on why it’s not working through the TV it’s working fine when playing music via my iPad thanksGav

Hello everybody, up until recently for whatever reason the arc and tv is playing audio together. The hdmi is going into arc of the tv and to the soundbar. I can manually go into the settings of the tv and switch the audio input to ( audio system) to bypass but in the last month It started doing this everytime I turn on the tv. My sources is an Apple TV & a Xbox in case anyone is experiencing this. Any feed back helps 

I re-write because the first post gives a “page not found”.My configuration is: two stero Five’s + sub. Five’s are new; sub is a gen 2 refurbished, bought on Sonos website in december ‘21.Sub works correctly, but 2 minutes after turning off music reproduction, you can hear one single  soft “pop”. This happens also if the sub is off (green flashing liight).Is it normal?Diagnostic number is 1879570162.Thanx!

My Sonos arc keeps dropping off from the WiFi and I get a message in the app saying "sonos arc can't connect to your WiFi system, do you want to fix this now?" This happens daily and the only resolution is to power off and back on. I've tried everything to fix it, from moving items around to turning the 5ghz band off on the router. I've even had a replacement soundbar. I previously had issues with the sub dropping out, so I disconnected my philips hue lights as I believe they were causing WiFi interference.  

Hello, Does anyone have one of these on a Playbar?https://soundskins.com/product/soundskin-playbar-charcoal-black/Everything I’ve read says they are acoustically transparent and allow for use of buttons, but I don’t see anything about IR. Would I still be able to use my remote to control volume?I have my Playbar mounted above my projector screen and I am working on blacking out everything around the screen. The gray part of the Playbar is really popping now  I’m interested in hearing from someone that actually has a Soundskin cover on a Playbar.Thank you
