My beam will play music from my iPhone and it’s connected onto my system which is the same system as my Google TV. However, I cannot get it to play audio for the TV. The TV recognizes the beam because it switches automatically to it and when I disconnected the TV automatically switches back to TV audio. I have changed cables, and that did not help. Anyone have suggestions

My family room has a Sonos Arc, Sonos AMP with 2 in-ceiling speakers (not Sonos Architectual), and a Sonos Sub. Whenever I try to run Trueplay it gives me an error of “Lost Speaker”. I’ve factory reset the Arc and SUB and set everything up again, but still the same error.Also tried moving the iPhone closer to the ARC and no joy. Diagnostics Number: 554718305Thanks for the help! 

  My TV is only 'arc' and not 'E-Arc'. but i have a sonos arc and sub. and would like dolby atmos sound; can i use this product https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094PPVKFL?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details to make it work??

Already have a Sonos Play:5 Gen 1  which I’m now using with my newly acquired projector. The question I’m struggling with now is whether to get another Play:5 Gen 1 (yes I know it’s 2023) rather than an altogether new Sonos 5.1 setup that I simply don’t have the bugdet for at the mo.It’s a real shame that the Play:5 Gen 1 can’t be used as surround speakers which would have been ideal, but given that my projector is mounted behind my sofa connected to an Apple TV 4k which allows wireless connection to speakers over WiFi using a separte Apple Airport Express (Airplay 2) devide I already own i.e. plugged into Play:5 Gen 1 via 3.5mm I feel like another inexpensive Play:5 Gen 1 would most likely be the best way to go for me at present, especially since I also tend to listen to music now and again.Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience using 2 x Play:5 Gen 1 (grouped) hooked up to a projector or TV and how it compares to a Sonos 5.1 setup; is a Sonos 5.1 setup really that much bett

Hi, I've got a Beam 2 and looking to get some rears Sonos One Gen 2. I wanted to know, if I'm watching something with Dolby Atmos sound, will the Beam 2 still play Dolby Atmos and the rears normal? Hope this makes sense

Hi Sonos,Any chance an option to self-calibrate “Auto Truplay” in a room that has multiple mic enabled speakers?I was recently looking into swapping out my Arc + Sonos One + Sub combo with a Sony HT-A9 because what I hope will be my future living room looks to be asymmetrical and so I was trying to find a way of creating as discrete a home cinema as possible without the Arc/TV being the anchor/centre of the room where 4 off-axis speakers might work(also why I bought a Samsung The Frame TV).One idea I liked about the HT-A9 is that it uses the mics inside the 4 speakers to self calibrate the room based on position and was just wondering if/as/when Sonos might consider the same. Granted people may have SL speakers (for which standard Truplay is still relevant) and the Sub doesn’t have a mic (but given bass is supposed to be non-directional, it should matter) but it would be a nice step to simplifying/automating setup.Not sure if this is the right place for it or it’s been asked before but

Hello,I have a SONOS system with 4 PLAYS 1, 1 PLAYBAR and 1 SUB.I would like the PLAYBAR to work with the PLAY 1s and the SUB.What do I have to do?I can't set it up.Thank you for your answers.

Can anyone else with their Sonos Sub (Gen 3) take a look inside and see if they can verify any excess glue or weird stuff in the molding inside?Wondering if this is normal?

The Xbox is saying the device isn't capable of Dolby Atmos and the TV is saying the Sonos Arc isn't capable of Dolby Digital +. This is weird because I previously had the TV set up with a cheaper SoundCore soundbar that had Dolby Atmos working when the Xbox was plugged directly into the soundbar. I've even tried swapping out the sonos HDMI cord with an HDMI 2.1 cable that I was previously using.Settings:Xbox:HDMI Audio: Dolby DigitalPassthrough AllowedTV:Sound Output: Reciever (HDMI)HDMI Input Audio Format: BitstreamDigital Output Audio: Dolby DigitalAny help is deeply appreciated!

Sometimes I put my hand on the inside of the Sub (Gen 3) while playing a bass track to feel the vibration. Is there any risk of damaging it? Or is it pretty sturdy in regards to what I’ve described?

Losing the will to live here. I Have Sonos Beam Gen2 and I cannot have any sound other than stereo pcm. My tv is PHILIPS - 50PUS7855 50" 4K . I have a hdmi 4k cable. I am using both the standard TV, Netflix and 4k blu Ray player and they're all playing stereo pcm only. I have set the audio to multichannel (bypass). Why is this happening? Any help greatly appreciated.    

Hey Sonos,  It would be so nice to add “turn off surrounds” to our SVC commands.  And/or make it quicker to complete that task in app.  Current process requires 6 touches via sound control and 5 touches via settings.    The morning after movie night is a completely different set up with coffee and soft music.

A mi lo que me interesa, hasta que cambie el televisor, es poder ver las películas de las plataformas digitales (NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME, etc...) tal y como las estoy viendo ahora (a través del APPLE TV) pero disfrutando del sonido DOLBY ATMOS. Can anyone recommend streaming movies or shows to play to help me optimize the Atmos sound settings?  More specifically, good content to test “height audio” levels from Disney+, AppleTV or Max. My setup is the new Arc + mini Sub + Amp powered rears in ceiling.  Thanks.

Since the upgrade to my home router I am unable to setup my playbase. All other products I have are working with no issues. I’ve logged on to my router to see if there are any duplicate IP addresses that could be causing the issue, but I found none. The articles I have read online suggests the home theatre surrounds that have been disabled (slow flashing green light) and that I need to re-enable the setting on the Sonos app. When following the instruction to set-up the home theatre, the option for me to set up the home theatre under the System option is not there.

Gen1 Beam? I have 2014 Sony Bravia with 1 hdmi port which has fire stick plugged into it.  I have the audio connector cable, but do not see where I can plug into the TV?  Will Sonos Beam Gen 1 not work with TV as described?

Anyone  else  still  having low  volume  issues  with ARC after  update 15.4  Still not resolved . 

I recently received a Sonos playbase s11 from a relative and I'm having trouble hooking it up. The app does not find it for setup. 

I have the ray set up with surrounds, the comcast remote works to control the volume and is connected to the Ray. BUT, when I turn the volume up it also the volume up on the tv itself not just the system. If I turn the volume all the way down on the remote then use the app to turn up the system everything works properly. how do I get the TV to stop having sound coming directly from the tv speakers and only work with the sonos speakers?

I discovered that my surrounds weren’t playing any movie audio, so I opened up the Sonos app. I don’t really use it often. I think this is the first time I opened it this year. One of my Play:1s showed up as “Not configured”. When I clicked the wrench it said that it didn’t have the right software version or something. I mixed up which one it was on the app so I ended up unplugging the right side speaker (RS) and plugging it back in. Then I saw that one said Play:1 (LS) and the other said Play:1 with nothing. So I factory reset the LS speaker (again due to confusion) and added it back to my surround room. But I saw the same thing.I disconnected the surrounds and got a message again that the Play:1 that I just factory reset wasn’t added to my system, so I added it to my surround room again and then it recognized that both Play:1s were added to the room and asked if I wanted to make them surrounds. I got through the wizard without an issue and now both surrounds are connected; one says P

Hi, can i use two old play 1’s with my beam 2? I appreciate they don't support Airplay, but if my lg Tv does support Airplay will it play music through the beam and the two play 1’s or will I have issues? Thanks

when watching movies it sounds like there is an echo and reverb. it does not sound right. how can I get this to work properly? 

My 2nd tv only has an arc connection and I'm wondering if I can use a  4k hdmi 2.1 splitter between my nvidia shield, xbox and tv so that I can take advantage of the  eArc connection in the splitter so improving the sound quality delivered to my Sonos Arc. Would this work, giving true atmos and if so which  4k hdmi 2.1 splitter would people recommend? Thanks in advance

I have recently moved and my arc and one’s will not connect to my new wifi. I have rebooted the wifi and units many times and when I add the wifi password it says there’s an error but doesn’t give an explanation of why or what to do next. IS there a solution out there? 

Currently have an Arc, two play 1’s and a sub for home theater with Boost wired to my router. Should I get rid of the boost when I replace the two play 1’s with Era 100’s?   Not sure if this is needed any longer.
