I have a Sonos soundbar connected to my TV as an external speaker. I also have two Sonos Play 1 speakers that I would like to connect to the soundbar but can’t get them connected.  

have 2 five speakers and want to add home theat 5.1 atmos 

Hi everyone. Sonos Nubie here. So I’ve looked around and I can’t seem to find a good and clear answer to my problem/question. I have a new Sonos ARC sound bar, audiosouce powered sub, and I  also have 4 in-ceiling speakers I use as surround rears and rears. These 4 speakers are powered by an aging Yamaha rx-v671 in my last setup. Is it possible to  use the Sonos arc as my LCR and power the 4 rear speakers with my Yamaha to achieve 7.1 in the Sonos environment? As well as the sub?  What Sonos devices would I need? I have a new Beam 2nd gen. It works great, sounds great, remote is connected everything works except we can't turn the TV on in the am unless we touch the sono box button, and the tv won't shut off with the remote. We have to ask Alexa or Google to shut it off. What gives?

Hi , i have disable touch control in setting on my sonos setup. On era when touching same time this three buttons ERA change led status to red and disconect from system. What is this mode? Or what function is it? 

I have a basic question about Dolby Atmos.I have a Beam Gen 2 connected to the eArc HDMI output on a Samsung Q90t. Several streaming services I watch have content with Dolby Atmos. How do I tell if the enhanced audio from Atmos is working?  I don’t know to check on either the Sonos app or the Samsung settings. Thanks for any help. 

My Beam gen 2 is faulty. Only bought it a few months ago.I'm at the end of my tether! I pause a programme & the beam goes into deep sleep mode & won't wake up!I have to reset it around 5 times a night & have to set it up again as a 'NEW Sonos.I'm flummoxed again! 

Sonos Beam Gen 2 (+Sub Mini + 2x Play 3 satellites)  + Samsung The Frame (2019)Occasionally (once a month / 6weeks or so) the Beam drops the TV signal coming via HDMI and it will not reconnect. The main manifestation is that in the Sonos App (Android), I can select TV as the input source, the app shows "TV", it connects and I can hear audio, then a couple of seconds later, with no input from me, the app shows "no audio source" and I no audio is heard from the TV. I can hit TV as many times as you like and the same behaviour is observed. I have tried rebooting the entire system (the sockets are in the wall and not reachable without removing the TV so rebooting requires killing the power to the entire room from the main fuse board). There are no firmware updates for the TV, Audio output is set to PCM.The Beam shows a solid white light but it flashes amber if I press the play/pause button.Please help sort this one out...it's incredibly frustrating as I can't even revert to TV speakers as

I have my Samsung S95B connected to my Arc via HDMI and set for eARC. On most apps, like Netflix, Prime, Apple TV+, and even Plex, ATMOS works fine - if the source is coded with ATMOS, that comes across on my Sonos system…My problem is with the Apple Music app on my Samsung TV. It will not play music in ATMOS. I know the source is in ATMOS because when I play the same album/song using the Sonos app on my iPhone, it plays in ATMOS format…I need confirmation that it should work, before I spend and more time on it. If the Apple Music app on Samsung TV will not play ATMOS for now, that’s fine - I just want to know.

I bought a brand new Sonos Ray today from Argos in the UK.The sound is working, but when I try to connect the TV remote via the app for volume control, it doesn't recognise the remote.TV Model - Bush DLED32HDSSteps to reproduce my issue.1. Open sonos app and go to Sonos Ray > Use IR > Remote Control Setup2. Click Setup TV remote and Continue3. Point my TV remote at the sonos ray and tv, press the volume + button once4. Get a message of 'your tv remote wasnt recognised. Lets set it up'5. Click continue6. Point my TV remote at the sonos ray and tv, press the volume + button 3 timesObservation: the status light on the front of the ray flashes after each button press on the tv remote7. Get a message 'We didnt detect a signal from your tv remote.8. So after upgrading my home network, I had the option to hardware my Beam G2. Seemed like a no brainier, my WiFi was getting reasonably congested and wired is alway better when available. I also saw the option to disable WiFi, so of course I thought why not.  I spend the next two days trying to figure why no audio was coming from the Sub Mini. My 2 rear One’s were working, and they are WiFi, so I didn’t consider it was the WiFi option I disabled. I re-added the sub and the app reported everything as being connected just fine. Eventually found out that it was disabling the WiFi that was the problem. I understand now that it requires a direct connection to the Beam (odd when the much older Ones don’t, but whatever) But not reporting/warning this when you do it, and saying the system is running and connected OK, is a massive oversight for such a usually polished experience. 

Just wondering if anyone has the sonos era 300 mounted upside down, close to the celling with the sonos wall mounts as this would be my preferred choice for the layout of my room as I have lamps and a bit of a wired l shaped room. Going to be used paired with the arc and a sub gen 2 and was wondering what experience people were having. Thanks NW

I currently have a Harmon Kardon speaker system (5.1) with a wireless subwoofer.  The tuner is old enough that I had to use the adapter that came with the subwoofer to get it hooked up.   I have a Visio smart TV that connects to the tuner which is the surround sound system I would like to replace the tuner and speakers (keep the sub) with just a Sonos system.  Plugging the TV into the Beam, Arc, or similar.  The tuner is a pain.Can I hook up a Sonos system that will just "work" when I turn on the TV and watch XMen movies, then turn off the TV and say "Alexa, play Pink Fluffy Unicorns on my Pandora" and it will again, just "work"? I don't ever use the tuner for radio and haven't used the DVD player in years.

This issue is particularly frustrating as it prevents me from experiencing the full Atmos environment not just in Atmos-enabled movies but also with Apple Music spatial audio content.I'm reaching out to the community for assistance. We have 3 Sonos beams. Two update fine. One refuses to.We have unplugged it for an hour.We have disconnected it from the HDMI port.We have done the above singly and at the same time.It's attached to a Samsung Smart TV. We have uninstalled it from the Samsung and re-installed.There is NO, ZERO problem with the router. Even the SONOS app acknowledges that the WiFi is fine.When we get an error message, it is simply “1”.I don't know if we need the update, but this is driving us crazy.  

Hi! I just received my Immersive Set with Ray and Sub mini - it’s two Era 100 speakers, sub mini and a ray bar.  I can’t get them to be recognized to be added to the same room and now I am beyond frustrated. The error continues to be that no other speakers are found.  I can add them to different room labels… what am I doing wrong? How do I start over? 

I have a Samsung OLED S95B TV that controls all my music - it runs Plex, Apple Music and YouTube. Sound is via an old 3.1 THX sound system. The sound is not up to scratch with the TV and I want to upgrade to Sonos.I am thinking the Ultimate Immersive Set, with an ARC, a Sub, and 2 x ERA300 for surround speakers… That should be easy to set up. Connect the Arc to the TV via HDMI, and the Arc connects to the rest.However, I also would like to have a great setup for listening to music from my TV, and for that I thought about 2 additional ERA300s, or 2 x Fives.If I was to buy 2 x ERA300s or 2 x Fives, how would I connect that? Would the ARC be connected to the TV and control the 2 “front” speakers, and only use these if I wanted to listen to music, vs. watching TV and using the surround setup? Or am I asking for too much?

What Sonos subs are compatible with playbar (using Sonos 1 app )?

For my lounge setup I have a beam with two Play1 for left and right speakers.I an not hearing any sound from the two Plat 1 speakers.I have carried out a software update on these speakers (as well an the beam)I don’t know if this is relevant but if I tap on the >II button of the beam (and with the Sonos speaker in the kitchen) I hear a pop sound. This does not happen with the left and right Play1 speakers.I would appreciate suggestions how to connect the sterio speakers to the beam.Thank you

 I use a Beam (Gen 2) with my LG C2 TV. Ever since the LG software update to version 03.33.90 in November 2023, the audio of my Beam makes a loud drone noise when certain types of sounds are played (e.g. a crowd cheering in the background of a sports game, or a rushing river in a nature video). It doesn't happen when I AirPlay the same audio to the Beam from my iPhone, therefore the problem is in the interface between the LG TV and the Beam. I can’t figure out how to downgrade the software on my TV. How can I fix this issue?

Apple tv 4K is outputting STEREO PCM instead of multichannel PCM on non ATMOS content??Is this known issue and any workarounds or fixes??Many Thanks.BEAM GEN 2.

hello, i have a arc soundbar connected to my tv via hdmi and i just recently bought two sonos one sl speaker to connect and use for a theather but im having a problem controlling the one sl speaker with a controller one the arc sound bar will mute and sound will come from the one sl speakers if anyone can help me i would really appericate it ive been hrs trying to figure this out and have have gotten nothing ive see articles on sonos page i folloqed every instruction and still nothing 

I have a Sonos arc and two play ones however the play ones don’t seem to be working. My tv is set to optical/hdmi arc and the sound is coming out of the arc but nothing out of the rears. To use the rears does my tv need to be capable of doing ‘dolby atmos’ or does the arc sound bar do it regardless?  I’ve tried changing the settings but nothing is really working. I’m assuming I need to get a new tv with Dolby atmos in the specification of it.  anyone know?thanks

Hi evryone, got the Sonos era 300, and tried to connect with my tv Lg oled55b9pua, via Bluetooth, once successfully connected, sound does not come up, nothing. looks like the sound is muted, and I tried to volume up, but nothing, the sound remains muted, i tried almost evrything, if you have some recommendations or advices if would be nice, I think that could be a compatibily issues. I have the latest SW update on my tv and my sonos APP, up to date.I tried connecting my iphone via bluetooth to sonos era 300 and worked with any issues.
