My LG magic remote works fine with the arc soundbar but not the roam units. For example if I hit the mute button only the arc soundbar is muted and the roam units keep producing sound.

That’s because the Roams aren’t part of the Home Theater ‘room’ in Sonos. They may be a secondary room ‘grouped’, but they are not part of the Arc’s ‘room’.

Essentially, you can’t control a Sonos Roam with a TV remote, the Roam is unable to be part of a Sonos Home Theater, and has no IR connection to ‘see’ a command.
