I have a 65x900b Sony series with and Sonos Arc connected in hdmi arc port. Also I have an amp for rears. Built-in Netflix tv app play 5.1 with no problem but none of the third party streaming devices play DD+ or Atmos, only stereo. I tested Roku ultra, google tv, PS4 and apple tv. 

I have an eArc TV with 3 HDMI input to it with a eArc receiver, and 5.1 surround from it. All of this is tucked away in an AV cabinet with a single HDMI in-wall cable between connected to the wall mounted TV. I’d like to replace my 5.1 receiver & speakers with the Arc + Sub + Play for surround. I am wondering how to best connect my 3 HDMI video sources to the TV + Arc without running 3 HDMI cables in the wall between the AV cabinet and the TV. Is HDMI splitter the only way ? Any recommendations ?   

Super keen to get the Sonos Arc + Sonos Sub for my 82" TV which has earc output.QHowever, the only thing stopping me, is I have a Popsical Remix karaoke device, that can only output audio through a 3.5mm analogue port. My question is if I can add on a Sonos Amp (I know a lot of folks use Amp to power additional speakers, but I wanna use it to connect legacy audio devices), then connect my Popsical Remix using a 3.5mm to RCA cable to the Amp, and have the Amp pipe audio wirelessly (or wired via ethernet cable to my Sonos Arc + Sub.  Would this setup work? If it doesn't.. Then it's a deal breaker for me and I'm stuck with my Jbl bar 5.1 which has an AUX 3.5mm input port :(

ARC looks great and comes in 2 colors - black and white.  However the white Arc comes with a black power cable only. It ruins the design experience for me. What were the design department thinking?  

First of all, I have been doing some research but I did not find any answer that satisfied me, if there are any similar questions I apologize. I have a Beam and two One’s in surround. My problem is that I have a Wii U, which transmits audio in Dolby Pro Logic II, however, the Sonos app only shows PCM Stereo, the Wii U is connected directly to the TV via HDMI and the Beam by ARC.The first question is: does the Beam supports Pro Logic II?I have tried to change the input of my TV to Bitstream and it removes all the sound from the back, but when I switch to PCM, I have sound back, but however, I do not know if it is “fake” surround or is it really working in Pro Logic II, since the app only shows PCM Stereo.Is it in Pro Logic but by the nature of Pro Logic, the Sonos app shows me that is Stereo?I would like to add that the Wii U is not compatible with Dolby, however, they released an update where the original Wii games (which are the ones I play) will work with Dolby, so I do not know if i

Hii have played around with the height audio on atmos content. But i am not hearing any difference. does anyone hear a difference?

Anyone else had issue with the quality of the finish with their Sonos sub? I ordered a sub from a reputable retailer and noticed the side panel wasn’t flush at the top. The sub was returned for exchange but the replacement was just the same plus generally poor finish with the paint job i.e. spot marks in the painted finish and a couple  of chips in the case that were obviously present prior to the case being painted.  I’m aware I might be considered “picky” but for £700 I think I have the right to expect the Sub to be manufactured to a high standard?  i’ve included a photo showing the side panel not sitting flush.  thanks in advance to anyone who replies

I recently bought the Sonos Surround Set. Just bought Apple TV 4K. My TV is a Sony Bravia from 2015. I’m aware that I won’t get True Dolby or Dolby Atmos until I upgrade my TV or get a Fury Arana. However, some stuff is odd. For example, I get Dolby Digital 2.0 on iPlayer when viewed through my TV, but I get Stereo PCM on iPlayer when viewed on the Apple Box. I could understand this (because the Apple Box isn’t connected to the Arc) but I get Dolby Digital 2.0 or better on some apps on the Apple Box. To me, this suggests that I *can* get DD or better through the Apple Box, so why isn’t it working on iPlayer? I tried the same TV shows for the comparison. 

We have problems with Beam and TV Sony KD49XH8596. For only TV audio ( no music streaming, no control by App ), we found that the problem is solved deactivating  wifi from Beam. Anyone else had found this method working?

I’m considering changing my Ones in the surround setup for two fives (moving to a bigger house) and am wondering the following: As Fives behave differently horizontally from vertically, what is the best position in a surround setup? I will also be using it for music a lot so it should be the best setup for both.  Thanks!

I just purchased and set up a Beam connected to a Samsung smart TV and two Sonos Play One speakers that I already had.  I set them up as a group for surround sound.  My TV remote only controls the volume of the Beam, and not the Play One’s.  Any solutions?  

Hello, I have a sound bar connected to my tv. I want to be able to control the volume without controlling the tv volume. When I pair the bar to a tv / Sky remote it controls the sound bar, but obviously still controls the tv volume too. Therefore if I turn it up the sound bar, the tv also turns up so there is an echo because there’s two sound sources. Is there a way to pair a tv / sky remote without it also turning up the tv itself?  I can control with Alexa but it’s a hassle.  

Hi.  I have an Amp playbar and would like to add rear surround and sub to the this by integrating to the ARC.  Clearly, I can do this using Sonos speakers.  However I have a perfectly serviceable Sub and pair of rears already wired in.  Consequently, I’d like to double check a few points.  These are probably obvious but before I place an order…Can I connect in a Sonos AMP and configure this in the ARC setup to be recognised BOTH as the Surround and Sub (i.e. identify AMP under the ‘+ Connect Sub’ and ‘Set Up Surrounds’? Can I in the AMP set a level for the surrounds and then allow the AMP volume control to change the volume of the 5 speaker set together?  (I’m assuming here that the sub level can be set on the Sub itself against the sub line out level from AMP)? Hoping that the answers here are both yes but I only have the ARC so not quite sure how the Sonos connectivity plays here.       

Is it possible to combine ARC under TV & Beam behind the couch? 

I’ve noticed in the last month or so - dialog seems to be very muffled on my Arc (paired with a Sony X900H). It seems to be consistent across sources. Very noticeable in Netflix with 5.1 audio - changing to Stereo mostly fixes it, but not perfect. Also notice it with Discovery+.

Hi there all,I recently purchased a new 65” Sony 4K 120HZ TV to maximize my gaming and theatre experience at home. Come to find out, in order to get the 4K 120HZ gameplay, the Xbox Series X must be plugged into the eARC port….. the port that the Sonors Arc is already plugged into.What is my workaround here? Is there one? 

I like seemingly many others have a broken port. Today I unplugged it to install a new TV and now it won't stay put and falls out. Are these easily replaced? The playbar is perfect apart from this crappy component which appears to have fallen apart. I know it was lose a couple of years ago but now it needs replacing. Can these be replaced easily or is it part of a board? I really don't expect such poor component from a high priced product. Thanks in advance

How could I move a Bridge and Sound bar to another room?(I may have incompatibility problems between S1 and S2. I want to maintain version S1 but maybe these equipement has been automatically upgraded to S2) 

Can I connect the Amp with a third party subwoofer and Sonos sub at the same time?Sound quality aside, is this possible? 

I have two play1 paired to a beam, the left had speaker crackles when the volume is turned up on the tv.

HiI have Sonos Arc connected to TV LG 55LB650V via HDMI-ARC. Other stuff (e.g. AppleTV4K) connected to TV's HDMI. All 1.4 cables, sw updated, SimpLink on.I know it's old TV :), but CEC works on HDMI-ARC - TV falls asleep well when AppleTV is connected here and I poweroff it. Not with Sonos Arc.Other CEC actions (power on, HDMI# switching) works with Arc as well. I also try using API:POST /players/{playerId}/homeTheater/tvPowerStateSending parameter tvPowerState:ON - response "{}" (=ok) ... TV wakes up - good.STANDBY - response "{}" (=ok) ... but nothing happen on my LG TV Any idea? ThanksPetr

Just changed from Bose soundbar and sub to sonos arc with sub and twin ones as surround.    The sonos is so hard to hear dialogue with the sound level down yet the action scenes are very loud. Finding myself constantly adjusting the volume and the wife is asking if we have wasted our money changing to sonos.    i have been playing all night with the app, trueplay on and off, loudness on and off etc etc. Have the surround speakers turned down to help a little but never had ti do any of this with the bose 300 system.    Running Sony KD-75X9400D.    any help appreciated :) 

Hi guys. Recently bought a new LG G1 and I love it, it replaced my CX which had a faulty panel however the G1 will not pass LPCM or Atmos to the Sonos Via E-arc Passthrough. If I put it the LG on Auto I get Dolby Atmos but no LPCM for my Switch, Apple TV and PS5. With the CX it at least passed it through, although always in LPCM 7.1 which I know they intend to fix. If I try in my Xbox to put LPCM or Atmos on it says your receiver doesn’t support this format. Is it because the TV is so new the Arc and it aren’t communicating properly. I’m really disappointed and I love my Arc and my G1 but would like my sound to be accurate. Any ideas or is this a known problem?Thank you

I have a Beam, 2 Play Ones and a Sub Gen 3 set up and am experiencing sound dropouts when watching live TV only. The sounds drops out for a split second and then comes back in. I do not experience any dropouts of audio when watching recordings on my Sky Q box or when watching Netflix or Prime through the apps on the Q box. I had a HDMI cable running from the Sky Q box to tv HDMI port 1 and the Beam connected to port 2 (Arc). In an attempt to resolve the audio dropouts I have tried:1) Unplugged all other HDMI cables apart from Sky Q and Beam2) Changed the HDMI cable from Sky Q box to TV to 4k cable3) Tried optical adaptor supplied with Beam4) Played about with LG TV settings as suggested in other posts (PCM, HDMI control off etc)I am still experiencing the audio dropouts. My diagnostics code is 633986811. Thanks.

So I'm considering ditching my Sonos Sub. Without TruePlay it sounds like mud in my room (thank you Sonos for not facilitating TruePlay on Sub without a soundbar, more money down the drain).I'll probably get a high quality, 12 inch subwoofer and connect to the Amp's subwoofer out.If I do this, what kind of control will I have in the app as compared to Sonos Sub? Will I still have crossover setting? Sub volume?
