Does anyone know if I can setup a Beam 2 and configure in-ceiling speakers for the down firing Atmos elements (instead of relying on the Beam 2 virtual up-firing ) ?(i’m awaiting installation so apologies if this question has an obvious answer, and i’m using completely incorrect terminology)Thanks

Hi! Playbar connected to Samsung tv. No real issues for several years since new. Suddenly the volume increases to max automatically. Whenever I press almost any button on Samsung remote this happens. I’ve done complete Wi-Fi reset. Tv reset. Remote reset. Playbar reboot and reset. No fix yet. Can anyone help? Thank you!!

Hi guys, need some advice here. My tv console design is that the tv is in a cupboard  with wooden cupboard doors. So the beam will go into the cupboard. I also place a pair of Sonos one outside the tv console cabinet (on top of cupboard and at the side) so that i can listen to music alone with just the pair of sonos one (with the Beam power off and inside the cabinet. Now my question is as i am setting up the audio for best experience,I shouldn’t use trueplay tuning right? As my beam is always off and cupboard door close whenever i am not watching tv and only listening to audio only? Beam is usually power off with the tv (no tv no beam so cupboard door closed), will the sonos one pair be intelligent enough to know beam is off and adjust the audio accordingly to maximise the speakers potential? CheersJim

Evening all , me again 🤦🏻‍♂️ !! After hours of issues today that started with one surround speaker not connected and couldn't connect it back online I have finally sussed the issue ! Its took hours to get the speaker to connect again ! My Amazon box is connected via ethernet and has been like that for years .I got the Sonos and set it all up only watched sky tvToday I tried the Amazon box , buffering all the time plus couldn't connect speaker .I've disconnected the ethernet cable ( now on WiFi ) and now no buffering ! Speaker has connected straight away too !!! So now I have full surround I plugged ethernet back in the fire box , buffering loads !! Turned off Sonos system, fire box is fine on ethernet !! turn Sonos on and buffering !! now I have fire TV box on WiFi , surrounds connected easily and working , hopefully I won't come down in the morning to one speaker disconnected ! thanks

We have a Sonos beam in the lounge, more than pleased with it, but we also have a spare Sonos One and Sonos SL, i see you can connect tem to the beam, but the placment seems to say they need to be behind yor listening/viewing position. Is this definate, as we cant get them into that position, the only way its possible is on brackets high on the rear wall, unfortunatley that is ruled out by the Mrs. it seems a shame to keep the speakers in the cupboard, what would happen with them in front of the viewing point, not near the beam about 4ft away on each side. If this is not possible i will get rid of them. Last question is re a Sonos Sub, is it worth getting a Sub just to use with the Beam. I missed out on getting one from the Sonos Refurbished, they only have white in,im waiting for them to get the black  refurbs in. Any advice appreciated

I tried to connect my dad‘s new LG A9 with the Sonos Playbar. Unfortunately, I don‘t have the device here, so I can‘t recall the menu steps exactly, but the setup guides that you mostly find for setting up the bar as Philips Soundbar and then connecting to the remote, seem to follow a different version of WebOS than the most current one - so I can‘t exactly follow the tutorials I find online.I managed to get to the point where I go to Settings -> External Devices -> and can then somewhere set up a Soundbar, where I choose Philips. I am then instructed to press a button on the remote and direct it towards the soundbar - however, that button is the Power Button! It‘s not asking me to press the Vol+ button. So naturally, when I press that button the TV just turned off and nothing chaned.I also followed a tutorial where I go to the Sonos App at the abovementioned point - Sonos App then says to hit Vol+, but the TV says to hit the Power Button. When I hit Vol+, nothing happens. When I

I have audio dts file when I play it it says stereo pcm I have the latest Sonos app

Hi , I turn off CEC at night so that we can use the TV speakers ( soaps for the wife ) and when I come down in the morning and turn on CEC it doesn't turn on audio through the bar , I have to go in sound settings and choose hdmi . If CEC is on and I turn it off then put it back on a few minutes later sound comes out of the beam fine , just wondering why if it's left along time it doesn't trigger or wake the beam , thanks

Hi there! Just got a Beam. I understand to get sound to it from my fire stick I need to split the signal and send to the projector and then the optical/hdmi converter. I’ve never used an optical cable before and I can’t figure out if the long cable needed should have two different ends (a male/female) or the same end?

Hello All,  First let me apologize if this scenario has been posted before but i cannot seem to find it.  I have a Sony OLED A90J set up with a sonos arc+ sub and surrounds, using the tv apps and directv box and it works great. However in the same room i have a benq projector, on an older bose system, it is also running a an amazon firebox and another mini set top box from direct tv.  What i want to do is get rid of the bose system and someone toggle from tv to projector with both of them taking advantage of the arc + surround. is this possible?

Good evening everyone, welcome back and greetings from Rome  I have been a happy owner of the ARC soundbar and the ONE speakers for a few weeks (waiting for the Sub ...) As you know better than me, we have the ability to listen to Dolby Atmos with our ARC.Unfortunately, the various Playstations 4 and 5 do not have the possibility to play this format ...What do you recommend for watching bluray and 4k movies and taking advantage of ARC's dolby atmos? Thanks to everyone as always!

Hi everyone , my TV setting for hdmi input has pcm or bitstream ,my sky+ hd is connected to my TV via HDMI , sky box is set to Dolby digital .Beam 2 plus surrounds are on hdmi arc , shall I set my TV to pcm or bitstream ? Thanks

How does the sonos turn of? I can't turn  it off

Hi all , came downstairs this morning and found that my left surround speaker had disconnected from the beam and other surround and then my Amazon box keeps loosing connection !! I've unplugged the Sonos system and now the Amazon box works fine , that's connected via ethernet . But the left surround speaker is a pain to connect back up , it says it's connected but then doesn't appear in the system , anyone any ideas .

Anyone else experiencing issues setting up a Playbar with Move for stereo sound operating on S2 Version 13.4 since the new iOS 15.1 update?  Did Playbar get phased out on this new update?  I hope not.

I currently bought a home theater system separately (waiting on the arc to get here still) but the rear speaker are too far (My house has an open two story living/dining/kitchen space) so added two picture frames in the middle of the two rooms to, what I hoped would, fill the space. Now I am reading Sonos wouldn’t allow more the two Sonos Ones that come with the home theater system. Is this true or could I add the Sonos Ikea frames as part of my surround sound system as I hoped?  It would be a bummer if I couldn’t. I loved how seemless Sonos has been but this is a major flaw for me and the size of space I am trying to fill.

 Este cable es 2.1 o 2.0? Gracias

Hi all , finally got my beam gen 2 and 2 One SL surround speakers set up today , can I just ask , in the app if I turn off the surrounds they flash green , is it better when muting surrounds to toggle them off so they flash green or keep them toggled on but turn the surround volume to zero , thanks

Hi all , I have Beam gen 2 2x One SL surround speakers Everything is connected and works as it should , all LEDs on top are white , but if I toggle off the surrounds they flash green !! If I toggle them back on they go solid white as before . According to this page https://support.sonos.com/s/article/226?language=en_USWhen they flash green they're ready to be set up ?? But if I toggle them back on in the app they work as before ! I can get my head around them flashing green which means they need setting up when they work , they are in the app in the list of devices

Within the app there is no way that you can adjust volume from beam to rear speakers is there an easy way. Or should Sonos have a look at the app and include it. The current app is pretty basic. It doesn’t have much control Without have to change all your settings.

I’m looking into a Blu-ray player to play Truehd Dolby via my Sony tv to Sonos arc.  I have the Sonos arc already connected to an EARC HDMI port. Question is for TrueHD do I need a 2nd EARC to connect the Blu-ray player to, I don’t want to downscale at all and play lossless atmos.   I hear that for trueHD LOSSLESS you need EARC as more data is passing so surely  I need EARC for Blu-ray to send the audio through to the TV and another to carry the audio to the Sonos Arc?Doddsy.

So just set up new Beam Gen 2. Connected to Panasonic TV via ARC HDMI. Please tell me there's a way to switch back to TV speakers ! I don't need to use the Beam all the time as the TV speakers are very good. Can't find a way on the app, or with the hardware. Super frustrating. Am hoping I'm just being an idiot.

Hi there. I’m trying to have a mix of wired and wireless setup. Wondering if this setup is recommended? Or are there better ways?1. AMP > Ethernet port 1 > Arc > HDMI > TVAMP > Ethernet port 2 > Router Sub (wireless)AMP > two Sonos in-ceiling speakers

I have a question about the sons arc in combination with the five I miss a stereo feeling with the arc is it possible to use the sonos five as a stereo in combination with the arc.

I have an older Samsung TV 55” that has an HDMI-ARC port, no eARC.  I plug the Sonos-Arc into this port and when I go to the app and use set-up it’s telling me that there is an error.  Currently have the speaker set up with the Digital Audio Adapter into the TV and it is working fine.  I really wanted to use the HDMI-ARC port of the TV though.
