Hi brains trustHere is my conundrum. I will be getting a base level TV for the spare room and wanted to pump up the horrible tv speakers slightly with a beam. In the main TV room I have a 5.1 playbar setup. So my question is whether I should just put the beam in the spare room or move the playbar into the spare room and have the beam 5.1 setup in the main room. Going to need to stuff around with wall mounting etc so need to make the right call early. Anyone have experience with both and can help out?Thanks in advance.

Hi all , beam gen 2 , as it's connected via hdmi is it possible to listen to TV via the TV speakers ? 

I am mounting a frame/art tv above the mantle and I don’t want to look at a speaker beneath it, I’d like to have two matching sonos speakers on the right and left.  I already have one beam, i love the shape of it.  Ideally I’d like to know if it’s possible to connect two sound Beam bars to one television to create right and left channels.  If not, can two beam speakers connect to make *balanced* sound on the right and left of the tv, connected with a split optical cable (or other solution?). I know I can *add* Sonos speakers to the tv if one is hardwired, but I want them both to be connected to the tv automatically.  I have read mixed reviews on connecting the speakers to the tv with HDMI cable. Either way if the two are hardwired to the tv, a splitter would be needed (I assume?)I don’t want a middle channel/speaker as I don’t have anywhere to put it.  An amp or woofer would be fine if that’s absolutely necessary.Thanks for your help and ideas!

Hi!I have the following situation.I am in a house with Eero Pro mesh network (total of 4 units, so good coverage).My Arc and Sub are connected to Wifi and have been working with a surround setup well in the past.The house came with built in-wall speakers that I would like to connect as surround speakers to the set up.  The TV/speakers are on the 2nd floor, but the cables of the built-in wall speakers go all the way to the basement.The Amp worked without a problem independently.  Hower, when I tried to add the Amp as surrounds to the setup, I got the error message “There was a problem adding your surrounds. Check the network connection and make sure your products are powered on”. I have the suspicion that the issue is as follows:  The Arc wants to connect via a direct Wifi connection to the Amp, but the Amp is too far away and therefore out of reach to create the connection.Would it help if I tried to run my Sonos setup on SonosNet instead of Wifi (I have 8 devices, so should get ample

Hi everyone.I have just bought a beam gen2 connected to OLED LG EF950 (2016) NOT ATMOS TV.Beam is connected through ARC port to the oled and on the other hdmi is connected a firestick 4k max that would be able to handle and manage the Atmos signal.Problem is that despite beam gen2 and stick 4k max are Atmos compatible i cant be able to get Atmos.Surely problem is the oled.Any advice?Thank you

Can Sonos arc play Dolby atmos through wifi network. By using Apple TV 4K

Problem - My Sonos app says I’m getting Stereo PMC audio only. It also sounds like that.  Set up - LG CX (eArc) - Sonos Arc (part of a full 5.1 setup) - PS5 playing 4K UHD disc (Bladerunner 2049) Expectation - Thought I should be getting Dolby 7.1 audio output. Any ideas why the app say PMC?  

I have a Sonos Arc connected via HDMI to an LG OLED C1, with eARC and HDMI-CED enabled. Most things work fine, including the LG magic remote (I didn’t have to do any Universal Remote configuration, it just works) and I only had to change a couple of settings on the TV to get full surround sound working. That said, with the Arc connected I can’t see the volume level - the vertical bar that normally appears when you’re changing the TV volume level. If I disconnect the Arc, I get the vertical bar back, but with the Arc connected then all I see is a + button, a - button and a sound icon when I change the volume level. It works, but that useful piece of information is missing. I can see it on the Sonos app, if I look there, but not on the TV screen. This suggests some kind of communication failure between the Arc and the LG TV, with the actual volume level not being shared. Anybody else seen this or have an idea what might be the problem?

I have a sonos full surround system which is the arc the base and 2 one SL speakers, is it so possible to add in ceiling speakers to this system or that is all I can add to the surround system?

Hello,Yesterday I ordered everything that I mentioned in the title. So far I owned the Symfonisk only and experienced audio-video delays while using it with my windows PC via TuneBlade app (basically AirPlay simulator). Easily fixed when using VLC, but a nightmare when using Netflix. Now I’m going through the forum and see multiple threads from the past regarding lip sync issues on LG TV’s. Were those ever resolved? Also, I’m planning on using the TV for Netflix and other on-board apps for watching movies and stuff, but on the other hand I want to plug in my PC, also for movie watching stuff that’s not available on the current streaming platforms. Am I going to face audio delay issues again? 

Hello, I recently tried using my Nintendo Switch for the first time since getting my Sonos setup, and I can't figure out how to get the Multichannel LPCM to work on it. My current setup: Sonos ArcSub Gen 32- Sonos One SLLG CXMy Sonos app version is on the most current version of 13.1.3, and my Sonos system is on 13.1.1The LG CX is also on the latest version of 03.23.06 My TV settings are as follows: Sound Out: HDMI ARCDigital Sound Out: Pass Through (Have also tried PCM and Auto)eARC: OnHDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream (Have also tried PCM) On the Switch under TV Settings, when I set it to Surround Sound and run a test, no sound comes through, and the Sonos app either shows No Signal or Silence. When I set to Stereo, sound will work, and the Sonos app will show Stereo PCM 2.0 I've seen other forums where people will say that Multichannel LPCM works for them using a Switch and LG CX, so I'm wondering if there is something I'm doing wrong, or if there is something I may have missed. I

Why use HDMI direct connect to TV shows stereo PCM but air project to TV it shows DD5.1??  ARC+SUB+play1*2, software player Xunlei + same movie stream with Atom/DD5.1.PC: Surface go and Mac book pro 2015.Fibre connected to TV from ARC, it shows DD5.1 under air project to TV (surface laptop go), Sonos app S2 shows there is DD5.1. TV set to PCM16! Sound qulity is good and I sure that 2*play1 can performance surround sounds!  volum around 15- 20% it`s engough! ticker 450183488.    TV set to PCM16! surface laptop go  because no HDMI port, so I use a thunder convertor (input one thunder in + output VGA + HDMI ) then via HDMI to TV, it shows Stereo PCM,  2*play1 output like ARC but not output surround, and volum need turn to  40- 50%!  ticket 511695042. 3. I have a new Sonos Arc ,sub and rear speakers. Which I am very pleased with it I have a few of issues that i would like some help with . How do I set the volume levels to be different for TV/ films and just music. The volume I need for TV is much higher than for music ( radio- streaming) so if I play music in the morning it comes on very very loud and its annoying . Can I set presets so music starts at one level and TV at another. In some films the dialogue is impossible to follow ( not all films) as the background sound are over powering. I read there is a dialogue enhancer but i cant find one or any way to cut back the background sounds.  In some programmes there speech is no quite in sync -especially on channel 4 programmes. I have set the dialogue delay to 0 . Its not much of a delay and only really noticeable when its close ups on people.Any ideas what I can do to solve thee issues?Thanks   

HiBest position to mount the Arc? Above or below the TV?

HiI have recently moved my setup and seemingly reset some settings as I'm no longer getting 5.1 from any Apple TV app.Internal to the TV apps are running 5.1 but anything through the ATV is stereo PCM…I've tried forcing the audio format to be changed to 5.1 through the ATV menu which seems to work but not for all apps, so I'd like to fix it properly if I can.Any other settings I should look at?

My Sonos Arc purchased in 2020, tonight suddenly started to make low alarming sound every few seconds.I unplugged and plugged back in but still continued.any thoughts?

I just purchased the Sonos Beam.I have a Samsung Curved 65” TV connected with 1 Cable to the Samsung One Connect box (BN91-14846E). So from the TV to the Samsung  One Connection box where all HDMI’s connections such as the AT&T DirecTv receiver.and the HT-D5300 Sound system are all interconnected.Before purchasing the Sonos Beam, my sound came from the Samsung HT-D5300 5.1 Channel Blue-ray home theater system. With new Sonos Beam, I get sound from the TV show we are watching including Netflix/Amazon Prime etc. via Sonos Beam except when I play a movie from the HT-D5300 blue ray/DVD player.  I have 1 HDMI cable from that sound system to the Samsung All-In-One-Connect. I even connected an Infra-Red cable from that HT-D5300 Sound system to the AT&T Infra-Red but no sound while trying to play the blue ray/DVD player.  I have connected the Sonos Beam directly to the HT-D5300 sound system Infra-Red port but no sound while playing the DVD.Any assistance to get sound from our HT-D5300

Can we connect Sonos Arc with  One SL + One to make them 5.1 together.what I mean is one of friend has just bought  Sonos Arc but back home he has One SL and One so can we a proper 5.1 setup or a stereo setup.

Hi. To start, I have the full setup with the Arc paired with the two SL’s and the sub. I’ve had this setup for about two months now. While watching a movie last night I could have sworn I heard something funky in a left to right audio pan on a scene. Because of which I fired up channel/panning tests on YouTube and one Netflix. Every front left/right test is REVERSED! When left/right rear speaker tests run they are correct accordingly. I am absolutely baffled. I almost want to believe the left/right channels were wired reversed when being assembled in production. Seeing how there is no way to change the channels via software, what am I supposed to do?

I intend to wall mount a 85 inch Samsung Frame TV into a large room with ceiling mounted Sonos front and rear speakers at an elevation of 11.5 feet. Obviously a clean look is what I am looking for so I would like to conceal a subwoofer if you recommend it . Any recommendations on ceiling mounted subwoofer or concealment as well as equipment and distances. TV viewing area is about 12 by 12 feet at a distance of about 10 feet from tv wall.

Hi all I have a Sonos Arc and subwoofer gen 3 and I paired my Play two Play 1s that I have had for several years as the 2 rear surrounds.  Am I shortchanging myself by not using the Sonos ones that are newer or will the sound be the same.  Additionally what would be a better sionos speaker back there short of Sonos 5 which is very expensive Thank you 

Hello,We would like to create 5.1.2 channel Home Theater system with Sonos Ceiling speakers. As we have done some research, we see that it is not possible to get both surround and Sub effect with only one Sonos Amp. So we were wondering, should we use 2 Amps and 5 in-Ceilling speakers for 5.1.2 channel system?If not, it is possible to use Sonos Arc, Sonos Sub, Sonos Amp and 2 in-Ceilling speakers as Home theater and also 5.1.2 channel system?Is it possible to get Sub effect from only in-Ceilling speakers?It would be great if we can get an answer.Thank you,Have a great day.
