Hi,I am trying to figure out how far below the TV the Arc has to be placed with an extendable wall mount, i figured since the Speaker is now coming out 5 inches i no longer need the full 4-5 inch clearance from the TV since the upfiring speakers are now in front, but the only other threads covering this topic were in a recessed tv. In an ideal world id like a flush arc that I can pull out when watching movies, and recommendations on minimum distance?Thank youDeep

Can I use the mini sub with the arc soundbar?

I have the ARC. Is the new one that much better that I should spend the $$$? thanks.

Set up Sonos Beam using the HDMI ARC connection on Samsung TV and indicator light is constant “White”, yet Beam doesn’t produce sound from TV. What do I need to do to correct this? Thank you.

Hey everyone,I'm trying to decide between two sound systems for my living room, and I could use some advice!Sonos Arc + Sub Gen3 (second hand, the combo around 1000€) Yamaha TrueX 50 soundbar (with subwoofer) + two TrueX speakers, new for 930€ (with 25% cashback = I'll have >200€ for future Yamaha purchases)A bit about me:I love watching movies and care a lot about good audio quality, surround sound, and Dolby Atmos. I’m not a hardcore gamer, but a console might be add in the future. Design is important, and I’ve excluded Samsung, LG, and Sony soundbars because I don't like their aesthetics. I don’t own any other Sonos devices at the moment. I’m also not great at comparing the hardware specs between the two setups, so any insights on that would be super helpful. This setup might also become my main audio system for music and podcasts. The Yamaha set has 2 satellite, and I’m aware that adding two Sonos Era 300s would be a great addition on Sonos, but they’re out of budget right now (m

Hello, I would like to know if a Sonos Ray would be compatible with an XGimi Mogo Pro 2 projector. The Sonos Ray has an optical input and the XGimi has an arc output and a jack output. How do I make the Ray work with the XGimi?

Hi I’m currently building my home and we’re getting to the first fix electrics stage and I’m stuck on the design for my home cinema.  My open plan living room is around 11 metres x 5 metres. The lounge area will be around 4.5 metres x 5 metres of that. My viewing sofa will back onto a wall and the projector screen will hang between the lounge “zone” and “dining” zone without any substantial furniture below (i.e not something I can put a Arc - not that I could then wire back to the projector without a very long hidden cable run). I really want Dolby Atmos set up with clear dialogue and great effects. I have yet to buy the new projector. I will be using an Apple TV for connection. My current idea is 2 x Era 300 for rears and a Sub but I am stuck for the front.  I can mount speakers in or on the ceiling. In my last home I put a centre speaker in front of the projector screen on the ceiling. The more discreet however the better. Can anyone  help solve my problem???

Hi everybody, My question is simple : What is the best way to read/bypass the DTS’s codecs ? Setup : LG OLED C1 + Sonos Arc + Sub Gen 3 Thank you for replies

I have arc sub and 2 era 300. Are well put in the room ? Maybe era 300 too mutch hight? I use for games and Dolby Atmos film and music. Better to use era 100 as surround and use era 300 in another room? And do you suggest to put a second subwoofer? Thanks in advance ..any suggestion is appreciated

Hi everyone.  In our basement we have our OLED, Arc, two SW and two Era 300s. We really love the sound.  We do have an issue with the room being a bit of a strange shape, so we thought about putting in a divider to wall off the theatre portion of the room. We would really like to use a fabric divider on a track that we can open and close, however the concern is this might not work well since the Arc and the 300s depend on reflecting sound.  Would they both still work effectively or would any type of fabric divider damping the reflecting sound too much? Would Truplay take care of this issue? Is there a different alternative we should be looking at? Thank you! Charles P.S.  This is the curtain we are considering: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CL43RX1M/ref=twister_B0CPY1XRT5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

Trying to understand how some of this works. Here is what I know:The Sonos mobile app now supports Lossless audio when playing Apple Music as the source (to supported speakers). It will display a “Lossless” badge to confirm this. Airplay does not support lossless audio, so playing from the Apple Music app and airplaying to Sonos speakers will be lower qualityMy question is… If I play the Apple Music app on my Apple TV 4K (connected to Sonos Beam), it shows that it is playing Lossless (on the tv screen - the sonos app simply just shows that the source is TV HDMI audio). Is the Beam getting lossless audio? More importantly, if I then group the Beam with my other Sonos speakers, will they all then get lossless audio?

I put 3 Sonos beams in a customer’s house connected to 3 Samsung tvs. The tvs are customer supplied but we’re brand new in the box. All 3 tvs are giving an error of something unidentified in the earc port at random times. The beams are the only things connected to the tvs and when this error occurs no audio plays. I have factory reset the beams, replaced the hdmi cables, talked to Sonos tech support and submitted diagnostics, and had the customer’s reach out to Samsung to see if it was a tv issue. I find it really weird that all 3 are doing the same things. Any suggestions before I pull my hair out?

Hii have the Arc and a Sub gen3would like to add surrounds to my setupmy living room is not the biggest 4x7 meterstv slightly to the one side so the right surround would be placed aprox 30cm from the side wall and the left will be 3m from the side wall. is this a no go and go with the era100 instead of the 300’s?or will it work with the big difference between the left and right side wallthanks

I am building a PC to connect to my TV and Sonos Arc. Currently the earc on the TV is connected directly to the Sonos Arc and I can experience Dolby Atmos on streaming content and XBSX via Dolby Atmos app. Though on XBSX I prefer PCM because there seems to be a delay due to up-mixing - I just want whatever that is encoded on the content to pass through and not be altered. Are the any recommendations for GPU and/or MoBo combo that would allow me to pass through any Spatial Audio?Do audio codecs on motherboard matter if the Arc will be receiving the pass through?Does any GPU / Mobo have an eArc port?

Hi everyone having a problem with beam and fives as surrounds today when listening to music using Sonos app playing Apple Music when I select sound to full mode for music it won’t change keeps playing in ambient mode I’ve tried everything is any one else having this issue

Hi, I’ve recently setup an Arc, Sub & 2 ones in our home theatre room and was wondering what people experienced as the best sounding settings? Would be interested to see what most people are running through the Sonos settings.

Sonos, please add more EQ options to the Sonos app.For example separate rear height volume slider for Era 300’s and center volume slider for soundbars would be absolute game changers. More customization is never a bad thing!

Hello, For two weeks now I am the proud owner of a Samsung Q95T TVWhen I installed the Sonos playbar to work with the Samsung One remote I followed the following instructions → https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3444?language=en_USThis worked like a charm. However suddenly today the One remote no longer communicated with the Playbar, no matter what I tried (followed the instructions again , did a hard reset of my playbar etc. ) nothing worked.  After browsing through the community I found a workaround (Select Samsung as home cinema brand). I am nit-picking here but what I do not like is when I now press volume up/down it says Samsung instead of Sonos and of course I can perfectly live with itBut I just want to know Why do I need to select Samsung as brand to get my Sonos to work. ? --------- Workaround ----------Instructions on Samsung TV:Go to Settings -> Universal Remote -> New DeviceSelect Device Type: Home Theatre SystemSelect Brand: Samsung (instead of Sonos)Select Home Cin

Hi folks, I looked on the website of a Sonos dealer in Porto, in Portugal & was shocked that delivery would not take place of a Beam Gen 2 soundbar for 6-9 months! Why is this please? I also checked Amazon.es & .de & they also say delays of months…..1-2 months for .de MTIA

All of a sudden, the volume has become low on my sonos. Normally, I listen at around 20-25 but now to hear the same level, I have to increase up to 40-45. Started noticing this after the software update. Happens both with Samsung Q8FN native apps and Apple TV4K

So i got 2 One’s for my dad to work in surround with his arc. To his slight annoyance, a lot of the content he watches isn’t broadcast in surround, e.g. the world cup. So he would like his sonos One surrounds to work as a mono or stereo pair playing whats on tv, duplicating the arc. This can be automatic or manually switched.  I was thinking i could create a separate group with the 2 One’s as a stereo pair and just switch between them in the app, but sonos, in their unending quest to minimize system flexibility, doesn’t allow speakers to be in more than one group, or at least i can’t find a way to do it.

Dear Team Sonos,Please work towards allowing the bigger portable models (like the Move 2) to be used as surround sound speakers on demand. E.g., I’d love to have a couple of Move 2 as surrounds for my Beam 2 at home (with all the benefits of cordless regarding practicality, etc.), that I can move to my garden in the weekend to play music when having friends over for BBQ. :)It will be a killer feature, and one thing I really miss from back in the day when I had Philips Fidelio sound bar (though I would not replace my Beam 2 for that nowadays, if Philips could do it back then, I’m sure it’s easy for Sonos :) - https://www.philips.com.sg/c-p/B5_12/fidelio-soundbar-soundbar-speaker) Thank you in advance for considering this.

Fantastic customer service by this company. First, their fantastic new app has left my surrounds/subs effectively as paper weights until they fix their app, then, their customer service team casually takes 90-100 minutes to answer a call, and promptly hangs up on me.  I swear to God I actually hope they get class actioned, and go bankrupt, this is ridiculous. You can’t even get these bleeps on the phone to fix their system issues that they created.
