Hi, I've recently purchased a Sonos Beam and two Sonos One SL speakers in order to create a sound sound/home cinema set up.  I've successfully set up the two One SL's as surround sound speakers but its not quite what I was expecting - when watching TV it only plays certain sounds through the One SLs, such as background music etc.  I would like a true surround sound experience and by that I mean I would like to hear more/all audio coming from the satellite speakers opposed to just background noise.  Could someone please confirm what my options are? Any help would be much appreciated! FYI I've already put the music playback to full and increased the TV level in the app.  

I hooked up a Beam to my television today and, although the beam works fine with the television, I cannot link my two Sonos One speakers to provide left and right surround sound channels.When using surround sound set up, the speakers cannot be found and eventually a message is displayed "There was a problem adding the surround speaker”. I have tried various configuration changes and also resetting the ones several times but to no avail.Both Sonos One speakers work fine on their own or as a stereo pair.

Hello Everyone I just upgraded my playbar to the ARC and my TV to the sony x950 and was soo excited to test everything out, but was severely disappointed with the terrible dialogue with the ARC.   I feel that I have to constantly increase the volume to hear dialogue but then turn it down when something explodes.  I’ve read that this may be an issue but wasn’t sure if anyone has had luck with fixing this.  I watch everything on an apple 4k TV.  I also have the play 1 for surround and the gen 3 sub.any thoughts and suggestions will be welcomed.thanks

Hi,I bought the arc a few weeks ago, changed my tv. I now have a Sony x95h… and the sound keeps cutting in and out on differents app. Netflix is the only app i dont have the issue with. What is going on?I already chat with a guy from Sonos last week, reboot my tv and arc, with the cycle thing...I ran a diagnostic tonight, here is the number: 1109734569

Hi everyone! My setup is as follows- Arc → 2019 Samsung Q90R ← AppleTV/Philips Hue Syncbox I’m aware that there are 2 versions of Atmos (dd+ vs TrueHD) and that dd+ will work with my ARC TV (it doesn’t have eARC...yet). The native Netflix/Prime apps on my TV allow for Atmos via dd+. My issue is that I want to use my AppleTV 4K with Dolby Atmos, which apparently isn’t supported with my set up. Apple support said that the AppleTV needs to be directly plugged into the Sonos Arc, which isn’t possible because the Arc only has 1x HDMI port. I think this has to do with an inability to passthrough (possibly something to do with something called LPMC?). I was wondering if anyone had any work arounds to the above that allowed for Dolby Atmos via AppleTV I heard a AVForums podcast, where a Samsung rep said that my TV would get a firmware upgrade to include eARC “soon.” Would this change my TV’s ability to passthrough Dolby Atmos between my system? I just got a Sonos arc.  I set up as follows: cable from arc to arc port, sound out through hdmi Arc, digital sound out through Auto, eArc enabled.  No sound comes out.  What am I doing wrong?

I currently have a Sonos Connect conencted to my receiver and powering a Sub, front speaker and 4 in-ceiling speakers for surround sound.I would like to upgrade my front speaker to the ARC and add a Sonos Sub and retain the connect to power the in-ceiling speakers as surrounds, trying to figure out if this is possible?Spoke to Sonos Support and was quite a frustrating experience so hoping i can find answers here, Suport mentioned this will only work if either the port/connect or ARC are Hard wired which is not an options due to location.I am also fine to upgrade to a Sonos Port if needed even though the Connect works via the S2 App, jsut want to make sure this is possible prior to purchasing. 

Ever since I had my playbase (2 years now) it has intermittently cut out the sound from my LG 850 TV connected to the playbase from Optical cable. I have finally had enough and ran a diagnostic when it did it just now…Diagnostic code: 1271484801 Can anyone who has experienced similar and solved it give me any hints?  There is no rhyme nor reason why it should occur as randomly as it does.  I first thought it occurred more when the TV was streaming but now it seems to do it as much when using Sky (although all go through the TV to the playbase anyway) 

Is there any way to enhance the Dolby experience with the Arc? I have a Sony 65 OLED A8H tv, the arc, gen 2 sub and 2 ones as surrounds.  

I currently have the Arc with 2 Sonos ones as my surrounds and with the gen 2 sub in my living room.I was wondering if I could add the Sonance in-wall or in-ceiling speakers or both powered by the amp to have them work with my living room setup? Or if I could group them to the same room?

Finally got Sonos ARC yesterday and installed it. Connected it to Sony x900h and apps thru Apple TV 4k connected to the TV and eARC is working fine as i can hear sound all good there.I am trying to see Atmos being played and while googling it says i should be able to see Atmos in the App when the content is playing.I choose the latest movie Mulan (Atmos is available for that movie) for test from Disney + app playing from Apple TV and don't see the Atmos, not sure if i am doing some thing wrong in setup in the Sony TV or Sonos ARC? Any recommendation here?

What are the best settings please for the arc, sub and 2 x one's in a relatively small room?The left rear one is closer to the sofa than the right one.  I have been struggling with voices being low and action noises too loud, seem to be getting better the more the arc is used strangely.  Current settings are:Eq bass 0Eq treble -2Loud, nightmode, speech enhancement offSurround audio TV +3Music +3Music playback fullLeft surround less than 2 ftRight surround 2 to feetSub -6Volume limit offI did try trueplay but found it actually made everything much worse so turned it off.Any further suggestions? Beam has worked fien until 2 weeks ago and now every time I turn on TV it reverts to TV speakers and will not recent to TV unless I unplug beam and set u again.  IT is connected with HDMI cable through Arc and that is fine.  Please help as this is frustrating.  The only thing that has changed is that there was a recent Sonos update

I have a Beam surround sound system in one room (the Cosy) and an Arc surround system in a different room (the Lounge).  Both are identical in that they have One SL surrounds and Gen 3 subs.  Both systems were bought within a couple of months of each other.When looking at the speakers in the ‘about my system’ page in settings, the speakers in the Cosy are all listed as [Speaker type] Cosy (e.g. Sub: Cosy), including the surrounds and the Sub.But for the Lounge the sub is showing differently.  Instead of ‘Sub:Lounge’ is is reporting it as Sub:Sub. The Arc and two One SLs are showing as ‘Lounge’.  Both systems work fine, and show up as properly grouped in both the room selection page and the room list in the main setting page.  The controls also work as they should i.e. the sub can be adjusted as part of the surround set up in the lounge.Is this an indiosyncracy of how the Arc groups with a sub in a surround set up, or is there a glitch in my system?For info, I am using Sonosnet (ie the

Hi all,I installed the sonos amp and two wireless SL backspeakers.Installation went smooth!Now when I test a clip from YT on my television the back speakers are still played through the front left and right from the Sonos AMP.I think this is YT, only playing stereo?My tv detects the home surround system, and seems to work.Is there any way to test it with a sonos app/ something to check if all channels are ok? Thanks!

If I set my blu ray player to decode DTS and output LPCM to my television that has EARC, and set my television to pass through audio to the Arc, will the audio sound as good as if the Arc decoded the DTS format? Will every speaker on the Arc, with the exception of the up firing drivers produce sound?

I know there is a lot of discussion on using HDMI extenders to get TV audio as an input. I’m having some difficulty. Hello, I've recently purchased a Sonos Beam, Sony X900H and an Xbox Series X.The X900H has the eArc update. I am connected via hdmi in the eArc port. eArc is set to auto in settings.Sound on the TV apps work well. However, on the series x, there is a significant audio delay. I have changed to optical (re-syncing my remote etc.) and the delay was worse. Now I'm back to hdmi eArc, and wondering what my options are. I have tried:-changing a/v sync options - auto, on, off-eArc mode offI have tried swapping to PCM which seems to help. I'm not exactly sure what that is so any insight would be appreciated. The only thing I can tell is the sound seems a bit more hollow on PCM mode.Thanks for your help. 

Can anyone define “Drivers” in the specs for the Arc?  In other words, I would like to replicate a 3 Ch sound from the Arc and then add two Play 1 in the rear to complete the surround. I’m pretty tech savvy but I’m thrown off by “drivers” versus channels. Can anyone offer some feedback? I’m not even convinced I would even need the rear Play 1 in the same room.My other question is:My main TV is 65” but I plan to replace that with a 70”-75” at some point. In terms of “power” and sound quality, I’m trying to compare the Arc versus the Beam.  I see the recommended sizes of TV for each device but I’m curious to see if anyone has those circumstances. If sound quality isn’t affected, then it’s a no brainer to go with the lower cost device (Beam) in my case. If anyone has any thoughts on these topics I would love to hear your feedback! Thank you!

Hi folks. To set the context:- moved into new home. Existing sub reset to factory.- new home installed 3 amps each running 2 stereo for different zones (2 are sonance 1 jensen) with an arc.- running amps hardwired and sonos arc is wireless. 1. My soundbar is not able to set 1 amp and 1 bass for a dedicated home theatre setup. I've tried numerous variations from resetting each device and reconnecting to no avail. Has anyone experience an issue whereby the soundbar needs to be hardwired and so does amp and sub? Or should I be able to have a home theatre setup on 1 zone with the arc wired, surrounds via amp wired, and wireless sub? Or is it possible to have wireless sonos arc, wired rear amp surrounds, and wireless sub.Thanks Sunny 

Our main room has an Arc/One’s/Sub where we watch on an LG Nano tv through Apple TV 4K.  While watching Hulu (Killing Eve), the app shows Stereo PCM 2.0.  I just picked up a new TV for the bedroom, LG UN73,  where we have a Beam/One’s set up.  The new TV in the bedroom plays the same show in Dolby Digital 5.1.  Both TV’s are set to Auto, the main TV is set to Passthrough from ATV, and I have switched the Apple TV back and forth from allowing Atmos and forcing DD 5.1.  Right now, I can only see the difference being the Apple TV app, vs the LG app in the bedroom.  I am hoping someone can help me accomplish DD 5.1 out of the Arc.

I’m a relatively new, and relatively frustrated Beam (& rear Symfonisks) owner.  I have a Virgin Media V6 Tivo box, PS3 & Roku Express all going into my TV via HDMI, then out Via HDMI Arc to the Beam. I’m receiving Dolby Digital 5.1 & 2.0 from each device (confirmed in Sonos app). My frustration, like so many others, comes from not receiving DD from anything being broadcast in DD+ from the Roku, (Disney+/Netflix/Amazon) all the Beam receives is Stereo PCM 2.0, a vast difference in quality to DD.  After many, many hours of reading similar issues faced by others, I think the issue is with my TV, it’s a 2015 Sony KDL32w705c, while some TV’s can take in a DD+ signal and put out a DD signal, it doesn’t appear that mine can. I have tried every variety of settings.  Is there a cheaper option than a new TV? I was half contemplating a new TV, as I quite fancy something larger (40-43”). I read somewhere that TV’s produced from 2016 have a better chance of being suitable for my needs,

Hi All,I have just become the owner of a Sonos ARC which I have been looking forward to for a while. After setting up the ARC and having issues with my Sonos Play 1 surrounds I decided to hardwire my ARC and use the SonosNet configuration. I have an LG C9 and Apple TV 4K and have been using Netflix to tryout the Sonos ARC capabilities but for some reason the Sonos Play 1 surround speakers don’t seem to be in sync or on occasions don’t work. Or should I say sometimes for no reason vocals will move from the ARC to the Play 1’s… Sort of with a muffled effect. I just watched Formula 1 drive to survive on Netflix and the sound was everywhere even when a driver was doing an interview???It’s as though the voice flips back and forth between the ARC and the surrounds, making it sound very unstable.My ARC is connected to the eARC HDMI port and the LG C9 has eARC enabled and Passthrough configured???I have also checked my Audio settings on the AppleTV.Everything is running on the latest firmware’

hi Guys,Ive hooke up my arc via the DHMI ARC port on my sony bravia KD75XH8096BU 75 Inch 4K Ultra HD Smart Android TV.Issue im having is that i the audio is always via the sonos and i cant have the tv sound only,  i can select tv sound via the tv audio settings, but after a second or two the sound reverts back through the sonos.  how can i solve this,   i just want to use the sonos when watching a film and not running everytime the tv is on.  TIA  

My Sonos arc sub was working and sounding great until it stopped and “unpaired”, now nothing. I’ve tried everything;  reset the sub, reset the arc, deleted and re-uploaded the app..nothing will get the sub working. I get to the point it says “your sub has been added but may not appear in the systems tab. If so, unplug the power cord and plug it back in to finish setup from the systems tab.” Of course that’s not working. Anyone run into this issue? I’m really annoyed.
