Hi All,

I recently purchased a Sonos Arc and have set it up with my 2 play 1 speakers as surrounds.

My setup is as follows:

- Sonos Arc

- 2 x Sonos Play 1’s

- LG C9 TV

- AppleTV 4K

I have set my TV settings to use HDMI pass through and eArc and Bitstream.

I have purchased a new HDMI 2.1 certified cable (2m in length).

when I listen to a Dolby ATMOS source the voice channel moves between the surrounds and the arc randomly! Almost as if it’s changing from ATMOS to stereo randomly every few seconds. It sounds terrible!

This seems to be related to the Sonos Arc compatibility with the AppleTV? I don’t have this issue when I use Netflix on the WebOS on the LG C9 TV?

What is going on? This isn’t what I paid $800 for a sound bar to experience?

Have your tried unplugging your TV and Arc from power for about a minute?

@GuitarSuperstar Thanks that seems to have resolved it for now but it seems like a bit of a work around rather than a root cause solution.

Why does this happen?
