I connected the Beam with my LG LE5400 tv, used the connection in the box from the optical to HDMI. Every hour or so the sound stops for a few seconds, what is the problem?

 

 

I connected the Beam with my LG LE5400 tv, used the connection in the box from the optical to HDMI. Every hour or so the sound stops for a few seconds, what is the problem?

As you’re using the optical port, then perhaps ensure the TV Simplink for CEC control for HDMI connected devices is switched off and switch off auto-power sync and any power saving options.

If the TV audio settings has sound enhancements like surround audio, speech enhancement etc; then switch those off.

Also perhaps try another HDMI cable with the Sonos optical adapter provided, to see if that resolves your issue.
