I read through most of the posts on this topic trying to find an answer and tried a lot of the steps suggested to others and finally got my surround speakers working again. Yay! The next day, my husband upgraded to an iPhone 11 Pro and when he logged into the Sonos 2 app, the surround stopped working again.I suspect the original problem started shortly after I got my iPhone 11 earlier this year (or maybe it was when we were forced to switch to the S2 app). Maybe it’s just a coincidence?Here is my pertinent information:Diagnotics #962960515 TV is a Sony Bravia XBR-65X850B Sonos Playbar, Boost, Sub and two Play 3 speakers  Google WiFi system (added in 2019 … maybe that is the problem?) - my modem WiFi is off. TV is connected to the Playbar via optical digital audio cable TV speaker setting = audio systemThe Playbar, Sub and Play 3s are all showing up as connected in my Sonos2 app.  I can control the volume on the TV (Playbar) by pressing the volume button on one of the Play 3s, but no so

After 4 years using my soundbar on my tv, today my tv remote wouldn't work to control volume. I can alter it using the Sonos app. Eventually I discovered that if I held the tv remote between 1 and 15 inches from the right lower side of the Soundbar, as you face it, the volume could be adjusted. I have tried changing the remote batteries and used another remote. Any help greatly appreciated - thx

Hi there,I have my ARC connected via eARC with my LG C9 TV. All works pretty well. Planning now to get two One SL as surround. Question is, what happens with the surrounds when the input from TV is just two channels (say DD 2.0)? Are the surrounds muted or is the ARC sending something to them (e.g. the music)?Thanks,C.

Hi all,Looking forward to soon getting my Sonos Arc with the wall mount and connecting it to a OLED LG 55 CX.Apologies if this has been answered previously, but I’m wondering about the Arc placement.  The tv will be mounted on a Sanus BLF-328, which places the tv 2.15” from the wall. The depth of the tv is 1.85”. The Arc will be mounted on the Sonos bracket. Will I have enough clearance for the upward firing speakers to clear the tv or might I be best to use spacers when mounting the Arc tote wall to move it out further? (I believe the Arc depth is 4.5” & the bracket is 0.31”.)

I have a beam and 2 Sonos one all connected to my tv. I am upgrading to the Sonos arc so what do I need to do-  do I add a new product and will my 2 Sonos ones connect to it or do I have to disconnect the ones as well?  thanks for you help

I currently have my soundbar sat in front of the TV. I want to wall mount it in the gap between the top of the TV cabinet and the bottom of the TV. The TV stand I have means the gap is the perfect size so that the soundbar wouldn't be obstructed by the TV. However, the TV will be slightly forward of the soundbar by around 8 inches. The photo shows the current setup, and you can see the gap below the TV where the soundbar will mount to the wall. The second photo shows how far the TV is forward from the wall. With the TV being slightly in front but still above the soundbar, do you think it will sound ok? 

Which alternatives do I have when it comes to get movie sound on my beam from either my bluray-player or my projector? Have been trying with hdmi. Doesn’t that work for some reason?

Bonjour,J’ai actuellement une pièce de vie en L.La TV est reliée à un Arc + sub et 2 One pour les surround arrière.La salle à manger étant entre le Arc et les surround, on ne change rien lorsque l’on mange pour profiter d’un son englobant et stéréo.Des travaux sont prévus, je voudrais ajouter 6 Architectural dans le plafond pour remplacer les 2 One qui font le surround, 2 dans la cuisine et 2 dans la véranda.MAIS, je me pose quelques questions:Est-ce que 2 peuvent être “fusionnés” à l’installation TV ? Est-ce que si c’est le cas, le AMP peut-il envoyer du son sur les 6 enceintes en même temps sans à chaque fois devoir re fusionnés pour le home cinema ? Si non, est-ce que les 2 enceintes fusionnées avec le Home cinema ne fonctionneront qu’en mode TV et les 4 autres en mode “music”? Le tout avec un seul Sonos Amp ?Est-ce que les Archi pour les surrounds donneront un bon effet meme s’ils ne sont pas disposés juste derrière nous lorsque l’on visionne ? Est-ce que le Trueplay fonctionnera p

No idea if this has been posted but I want to alleviate some frustration. If you're using an LG CX and a Sonos Beam and experiencing audio cut outs, switching everything over to PCM and running audio out of the optical port fixed it for me. Kind of ridiculous the amount of unresolved issues on this forum. 

So, got an Arc yesterday but current 4K tv doesn’t have atmos or E-ARC. Looking at a TCL QLED tv at Costco abc it declares it has atmos, but doesn’t have the E-ARC hdmi slot? Will this work with the Sonos arc and provide atmos?

Just when I think that this useless ***** arc can't possibly get any worse, well yes it can!So suddenly it's now decided, by itself, without me changing anything, that I can turn the volume up but not down, if I try and turn it down it makes no difference, but it carries on turning up if you go the other way.... Mental. I've had a guts full with this trash, I'll be trying to get my money back next week. Moderator edit: inappropriate language

Hi Sonos CommunityI have a LG CX TV and Sonos Arc wall mounted with the Sonos Wall Mount. Sounds amazing!But I wonder if the LG CX is blocking some of the effects of the upward firing speakers?Have attached photos and would like your opinion:Will I possibly get even better sound, if I use some spacers behind the wall mount, so the Arc is moved a bit further away from the wall?The LG CX is 8,5 cm (3,5 inches) from the wall. The top of the Sonos Arc is approx 12 cm (4,7 inches) from the bottom of the TV.As I said, it already sounds great! And since the upfiring speakers are angled I THINK that the LG CX does not block the sound. But what do you guys think?Hope to hear from you, as I am eager to explore the Arc and get the absolutely best possible Atmos sound :-)All best fromAnders, Copenhagen, Denmark.  

How many subwoofers  can I have on a system?

Heck, give us level control on all channels - even better! But if you can’t/won’t - then at least give us control over the centre channel level, just like you do for Sub and bass and treble. Please stop thinking you know what’s best for every listener. One size doesn’t fit all. Some people set their volume based on the dialogue and don’t mind having loud bangs. Others set theirs based on the loudest bangs - but then have to struggle to hear the dialogue for some movies/TV shows. And no we shouldn’t have to turn on night mode just to hear the dialogue without loud bangs.    

Hello,I have installed my new set-up, and strangely, my Sonos app is saying that the Arc receives PCM 2.0 audio while playing a movie from Netflix app on my ATV3.ATV is connected to TV with HDMI 1 (last firmware from Apple)Sonos Arc is connected to TV with HDMI 2 (eArc port, with eArc capable cable)in TV, sound setting for HDMI1 is bitstreamin TV, sound output is Auto (I tried Dolby Digital as well)in ATV3, sound output is Dolby DigitalAm i missing something in my set-up that prevent the Arc to output Dolby 5.1?ThksValyno 

I recently bought the Sonos Arc, installed it and enjoyed it. The next day, I decided to complement it with the Sub. I have to say that I was impressed, to the point that my previous setup is going to retirement - including my far bigger Klipsch subwoofer.Meanwhile, about 5 days later, I was annoyed by an initially small buzzing that I originally thought was coming from the TV station. To my horror, a quick diagnosis of the issue pointed very quickly toward the Arc.I then started a more precise investigation, changing the source to a music player for better input material control. Pausing the music player clearly showed that the buzzing was increasing with the volume - to a point where it actually became loud. Also, by moving one of my ear over the Arc, I could identify one single speaker, the rightmost facing one, being the culprit.I was terribly disappointed as it meant the Arc had to go back for an exchange, especially since they are nowhere to be seen in any store in my region and

Hi how’s the best way to set up 2x play 5s a soundbar and 2x2 play one sl s I seem to be getting a echo when watching tv the only way to solve it is to turn down the soundbar is there a better way ? 

Require a Pseudo Sound Sound function on the Sonos App to be able to hear Mono or non 5.1 formatted Movies I have a complete Sonos Dobly atmos system , Sonos Arc+ Sub Gen 3, 2 x Sonos One for the rear . Howere we cannot enjoy sound on the rear sonos speakers when whatting a Mono movie or a non 5.1 TV transmission content.Would appreciate to see this function added on and from the “Sound”>  “ Sorround Audio”  to add > “ Psuedo Souround”  I am sure this can be easily developed and implemented on the next Sonos S2  software/firmware update. New Arc, Sub, One SL x 2 home theater surround connected to TCL Series 6.   Signal to TV from Apple TV 4K, Arc connected to TV via HDMI/ARC port.  TV set to autodetect - TV indicates that it is detecting DD+ signal.  Playing content that should be Atmos (have tried atmos movies on iTunes, and also atmos content on netflix (streaming at ultra HD/autodetect).   Should (I think) be sending Atmos signal to the Arc.   however, cannot verify this.  No Atmos logo in the “playing now” screen.  When I go into the S2 app, “about my system” it indicates the signal is “Dolby Digital Plus 5.1”.   Appreciate your thoughts / experience….   Apologize if I’m missing something obvious here.  TY

Is this a common issue? I have a Sonos Arc connected to my Epson LS 300 projector by HDMI 2 ARC. I have an Apple TV in HDMI 1.  I have all the CEC buttons turned on in my Epson Projector. Everything works fine until I turn off the Epson projector and turn it back on. When I do that, the sound doesn’t work. I have to go into the Epson menu settings and toggle the CEC switch off and then back on to get the sound to come back on. The volume buttons on my Apple TV and my Epson remote show a visible volume bar moving and the Sonos lights react as if they’re reading the signal, but no sound comes out unless I go in and toggle the CEC switch.    

Hey community, I recently bought a couple of SL One speakers and the Lip Sync is driving me mad whilst using Air Play 2, with my AppleTV 4K. I’ve looked online and can see it’s a known issue with a lot of others. Is this getting addressed? 

Hi All,I just found the following closed topic where 2 Sonos users report DTS support using the Sony UBP-X800M2.The topic:Because the topic is closed I am opening a new discussion. → Lets keep it focused so it won't get closed again.It seems that the 2 users have working DTS to dd5.1 when connecting to the same generation Sony TV’s.It would be great if we could find some more users with experience with the Sony UBP-X800M2.For some users it would be a dream come true if there was a 4k HDR player that can give us surround sounds on our Sonos home theatre setups.Xbox and PS5 do support on the fly conversion but the noise the drives make when playing UHD is not acceptable for a lot of users. → so lets skip suggesting those in this topic. 

I currently have a Sonos Amp with two pairs of architectural speakers, two front and two rear basically left and right channel, connected to my TV via HDMI Arc cable.  Is it possible to add the Sonos Beam to act as a center channel not connected to the Amp and connected to the TV?  

Hello - I need help for 2 setups Now I have TV + beam + sub + 2x play 1 In the same room I wil Set Up a beamer with cinema screen my question is : 1 ) how can i make possible to switch from TV to Beamer with same Sonos set Up ? or 2 ) can I set up a extra PLAYBAR for Beamer and Cinema USING the same sub + same play 1 satellites  who can help ? what would you advice and how to set Up !  thanks a lot ! Marc from Atomika studios
