Has anyone configured the Sonos One SL to play Visitor Announcements from the Google Nest Hello doorbell? I wasn’t entirely sure if this should work or not. I know there’s not voice control on the actual SL device but I thought maybe linking the services on the app would allow for announcements. I haven’t been able to get it to work.
Is anyone else finding Google Assistant very slow to respond? I have a Sonos One in Australia and with Alexa it would respond to a question in around 1s. Ever since Google Assistant was released here i find that the Google Assistant would take 3-5s to respond. Its much slower than Alexa and also compared to the Google Mini i have. Does anyone else have this issue? or a solution to it.
I can not activate any of the services “Alexa” or “Google Assistant” as it says is not available for Portugal. In my mobile both services work, and google is clearly selling their own speakers in our country. In a other mobile devices I get the message “Setup Problem - check your internet connection and try again”. It’s a bit frustrating it doesn’t work any audio service.
So google home devices like the hub and the mini’s have a night mode where on a schedule it will use a chime to reply to you instead of a voice reply… we like this… only it only works on the all the google assistant devices except the Sonos devices that have google assistant on them. So what is the deal with this? When will this minor (yet desirable) feature finally be supported? I thought the last update would fix it but it doesn’t… this is a simple feature that apparently people want… so what are you waiting for? Thanks for any info! Chris
Hello I’m having trobule setting up Google Assitant on my Sonos one speaker. This is the only device I got from sonos. I’m stuck on finding devices part.
I am a old style Hi Fi enthusiast, recently looked at Bose outdoor speakers at Costco, was almost ready to buy these when i decided to look into a online benchmark where the Sonos Move was recommended, thats what i ended up buying online. I was willing to spend $$$ exited about what i read about the Sonos performance i bought a bundle Sonos Move + One SL on eBay from a large authorized dealer just to later find out that this pair is unable to deliver Stereo, but that is a different story. The Sonos Move arrived yesterday afternoon and i quickly wanted to try it out before dinner, had 15minutes for that. Started unpacking powered it up following the instructions, installed the app on my Android, registration, question after question after update after question, the thing was finally satisfied to play music after around 20 Minutes or so, food on the table getting cold. Grrrr, Ok playing with the Sonos Android app while eating i tried to listen to my favorite music stream di.fm, but no wa
My sonos one and beam will suddenly no longer play Spotify music and says connection was lost. They also won’t link to my Google account now either. I have tried rebooting, resetting up, restarting our internet, and other troubleshooting ideas on found on this forum. Please help!! Diagnostic 1801504021
After streaming music I ask google to “switch to TV” to return to TV sound. Google tells me that she can not help with that. Anyone having same issue and does anyone know the correct command or a solution?
I know one can create a group of Sonos speakers within the Sonos app. What I am hoping to do is to create groups of speakers (Sonos and Google Home / Mini devices) using the Google Home app. I can see the Sonos speakers in the Google Home App as visible devices, but I can not seem to include any Sonos speaker as part of the groups. Am I missing something or is this not a possibility? If not, any plans to revise this? The Sonos integration with the Google Voice system is great, but if the voice commands work to play on "Whole House"... I would love for it to include my top of the line Sonos speakers. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
I am located in the USA and I get the error saying its not available however a few days prior it would allow me to add the service but I never completed the setup. Am I missing something here? Don't see a location or language setting that would now cause this error.
I’ve just got a sonos move and have set it up where i used to have a google home. The google home used to work quite well. I could play music, get weather/jokes, ask questions. It would recognise my voice, and that of my wife and son. I configured my sonos move and now its terrible! It recognises when any of us say ‘ok google’ but the only person whose commands it understands semi-reliably is my son. My wife and i can’t get it to do anything. In the ‘my activity’ on google assistant it just has ‘unknown voice command’. Any ideas?
Does anyone know if a future update will allow a Sonos speaker to be set as the default speaker for a google home room? Its so frustrating this option is not available on release!
As the title says, Google assistant responds on both my phone and Sonos and It's super annoying. I've tried every solution I could think of to fix it but no dice. Anyone else has the same problem?
Hi there, I am based in Singapore and since the launch I've had real problems keeping assistant working. After a few days it will stop responding entirely, meaning I have to remove the GA/Sonos link and reinstall. This fixes the problem short term but i have to repeat the process quite often. Can anyone help please?
Via the Sonos Controller, I am able to play radio.com stations on my Sonos One speaker, which is configured with Google Assistant Voice support. However, if I say "Hey Google, play 670 The Score on radio.com" it says, "Alright, playing WSCR on radio.com" followed by "Sorry, there was an error for the Kitchen." This has been happening since the implementation. If configured with Alexa instead, it works. This happens with every radio.com station that I've tested.
Have just set up a Google Best WiFi mesh in my house to help with dead spots on the virgin media hub 3.0. Are there any advantages to switching my sonos from the virgin network to the new mesh? Thinking of google assistant and home connectivity etc.
Until about a week ago, I could say "okay Google" then "set input to TV on the Sonos" and it would switch the input. When I've been trying this for the last few days it's suddenly stopped working. It says variations on "I can't help with that." I can currently only switch to the TV input by using the app. (We've got automatic switching turned off because we like to listen to music while browsing films before switching inputs.) Any suggestions on how to get this working again? Has the phrase changed? Has anyone else experienced this, or is it just me?
I have found a way round this issue. Firstly as you have Google Play Music I presume you also have Google Drive ( free online storage). In this drive create a folder called music, then in this folder create a folder for each artist, say Adele. then in this folder upload mp3 songs of hers you own. You cannot just upload the album it must just be the mp3s.Then in the Amazon Alexa app go to the skills and enable Personal Jukebox, this will ask you to choose the online storage for Google. Enter user name and password and accept. Job done. Then on Sonos say ‘Alexa Tell Personal Jukebox to play Adele’ (or which ever artist folder you have created). The only issue is that Personal Jukebox shuffles the songs in the folder, but hey at least you can use you cloud storage!
Hi, Do you expect that Google assistant will be supporting Yousee Music streaming anytime soon? Yousee Music is a danish music streaming service. Regards Claus
Hi.. In my Sonos I use a separate account for google. In the sonos app I go to Google Assistant and then click Music services. I select Spotify and I am logged into the App with the account I want to link to the assistant. The app flash up and then go back to the assistant and I get Unknown error. It is impossible to link to my Spotify account from assistant!!! I talked to google home assistant and they tried to help me for 1 hour and gave up. We manage to link the Spotify account from a web page but the assistant still fails to see it. I talked to Sonos support that tells me to talk to Google assistant and they tells me talk to Sonos.. This is so bad and I get zero help! Any suggestions ?
So, all of the sudden my single Sonos One Gen2 cant broadcast because it says there are no other Google Home devices on the network. No network changes have been made. There is a Sonos One Gen2 pair as surrounds in my living room that can broadcast without issue as well as a Beam in the bedroom. I've tried resetting the single Sonos One. I've tried resetting the controller. I've tried removing and re-adding Google Assistant. Nothing works. Any ideas? EDIT: I see the "Somos" spelling error but I typed this on my phone and can't edit the title. 😂
Has anyone got a method for grouping and ungrouping Sonos rooms using Google Assistant? I've tried IFTTT etc but can't find a way.
I have three Sonos devices in my current setup, all connected to Google Assistant (GA). Two are Google One: gen 2's and I'm seeing some interesting behavior on one called "Master Bath." To be clear: GA works most of the time on each of them In each case, GA is fully responsive through the target speaker, but says the device itself is "not available right now." "Master Bath" is a unique name on the network Master Bath is visible to the Google Home app and to the Sonos app when this happens There is no outage currently reported at https://status.sonos.com/ Several times, I have started music (e.g. Ok, Google, play Led Zeppelin or stream MSNBC, etc.). Then, when I say, "Ok, Google, stop," it replies, "It looks like Master Bath is not available right now." Other times, it has been quiet (I stop the playing through the Sonos app in order to get it to stop), and I say, "Ok, Google, play Jack White," and it might also reply "It looks like Master Bath is not available right now." And
Hi all, Im pretty new to the Sonos family. When I use Google Home and say “Play music Metallica on Sonos” my living room sonos speaker turns on and playing that. But I have more speakers in the house. How do I get Google Home to play on all speakers or a set of group as default, such as all speakers in the ground floor. I tried things like “Play music Metallica on Sonos all speakers” etc but no luck. Is this even possible?
I have some google home speakers and when i say "ok Google, play (song name)" it plays this song and automatically plays its Radio. This is not happening at Sonos Beam. I ask a music, it only plays this music and stop. How can i enable autoplay? (autoplay is enabled at spotify)
