Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I have an Arc/Sub 3/Era 300 home theater system and i’m having a lot of problems with performance. will connecting every speaker to ethernet help? Right now only the Arc is wired.

Hi, I have recently noticed that on my Sonos playlists about 50% of the songs which I access via Apple Music are displaying a ‘item no longer available’ and not playing. If I take them off the playlist and then re-add them, the song plays so it’s obviously ‘available’. I have de-activated/activated the account to see if that clears the problem but to no avail. I’m just getting frustrated by spending so much time re-doing my playlists. It appears to be a problem with the S2 app. Any suggestions? 

The audio from my Optoma projector to my Sonos Beam stopped working during an update on June 10.  I use an audio extractor which I verified still gives me sound on other devices, but my Sonos system does not work anymore. Is Sonos aware of this issue? Are they working on a patch to fix it? 

Update of 2 Sonos One SL does not work, all recommendations of the support done multiple times. 3 Sonos One SL and all Sonos 5 updates worked ok

My couches are either side of the tv, running perpendicular with the soundbar. I am wondering which era model would be more forgiving as I'll be putting them behind one of the couches? Other option i have is to move the couch all the way back to the window, about 15ft from the tv and place the surrounds behind me there.

Can a group I’ve created play by default? I have created a group called “Downstairs” pairing my living room and kitchen speakers.I’ve got a Beam and two One SL speakers in my living room and an IKEA SYMFONISK Bookshelf in my kitchen. When I watch TV, I’d like my living room and kitchen setup to play by default without me having to add them manually every time.This is very cumbersome 

Hi folks,I’ve got an LG OLED55C8PLA TV, connected a Sonos Playbar by optical cable. For years I’ve been able to adjust the volume of the TV output through the Playbar using the LG magic remote.  As of about a week ago, this has stoped working. I can adjust the volume of music through the SONOS app using the remote, and I can adjust the volume of the TV using the app, but not the TV output with the remote. I’ve replaced the remote and it hasn’t helped. I’ve tried the Remote Control Set-up in the SONOS app too. Have contacted LG and SONOS for help, but neither could fix it.It may be an LG firmware update, but I’d have thought someone else might have had the same problem and can’t see that others have. Anyone have any helpful ideas?Dave

Looking for people's thoughts. I only have the budget at the moment for either 300s to go with my Arc Ultra or a sub mini and era 100s. What goes better in people's opinions? Thanks

I don’t know what’s causing this, but my middle channel sound coming from my arc ultra is not loud enough. I’ve done everything I can do to try and get some clear and louder dialogue but nothing has worked. My regular arc sounds louder and clearer. My ultra almost sounds muffled and I’ve enhanced the speech enhancement to max. Any suggestions or did I get a defective ultra? I purchased this when they opened up the pre orders. 

Well it's been over 5 months since I was, last posting here about problems with the new app. That's if the count on that old and now closed post is still updating as time moves on. That was when ​@Ken_Griffiths kindly offered to assist me and suggested a whole list of re-configuration to try with the assumption the issues MAY be something to do with my network. As I said, very kind of Ken but a list I looked at with a sense of dread at the time it would take me, on my own, to make those changes, let alone understand the technicalities of some of what was suggested.Well, the good news is that the app is much more responsive now and functions more as was presumably intended before the premature launch. The unsurprising thing, to me, is what this considerable improvement in app responsiveness required me to do. Watching TV and Sonos just quits working 

Hey - used Sonos Ace with my Arc Ultra 1st Gen to watch movies a lot and to date it’s been pretty good. Just done the firmware upgrade, switched on True Cinema and dialogue in action scenes in particular are really muffled. Even switching true cinema off doesn’t get me back to where I’ve been in the past. Anyone else finding the same?

I would like to listen to Music from Spiritune, a third party music streaming service, through my Sonos system. So far, it seems to not be supported by Sonos.It would be nice if support for the service could be added to the app.

I currently have a Sonos system consisting of Arc, Gen 3 Bass, and (2) ERA 300 speakers. I am interested in up grading the Arc to a Arc Ultra. The problem I have is the horror stories of individuals that have done this is people had to do factory resets on the other speakers and True Play sound calibration does not work. This is beyond my abilities. I talked to Best Buy and basically told me there are no guaranties this is going to work. What I'm afraid of is to buy the upgrade and end up with a system that does not work, even putting the original back in place. I even want the the ACE headphones added during this process. I have no problem paying someone to do the work, but finding someone that will guaranty it will work is impossible. Any idea of what I can do to guaranty the upgrade and have peace of mind. I live inn Middletown Delaware 19709.

Trying to manage content services but it is giving me a message that I have to sign in as the system owner.  I am signed in.  I am confused. 

We’d had our Sonos network installed in this house for over 8 years without any problems. One of our devices is not compatible with the S2 upgrade so we left everything running on the Sonos S1 version without any problems. A few months ago I upgraded two of our phones, 1 iphone is connected perfectly fine, the other refuses to connect to the sonos network.  We’ve uninstalled / re-installed the app several times, checked the WiFi config to triple check the Sonos and iphone are on the same network, checked permissions, etc.  The Sonos network itself is used daily and has never faltered.  After (re)installing we:see the 3 picture / intro screens Choose connect to an existing network the app reports it can’t find the network and we get to the “push the button” screen we don’t have a device with the first “infinity” button, so go to the next screen I press the play/pause and volume up on a device, the light start

I have the new Sonos app installed on my Android phone. Until the most recent updates, it seemed to be improving from its disastrous initial release.Since the last couple of updates however, there appears to be a new bug. Under the category "Your Services" I can no longer click on the links to "View all" for any of the music services that my Sonos app is connected to without the app crashing. Is this a known issue? Would be great if it could be addressed and corrected.Thank you. 

I have two Sonos systems at my work.1 x Sonos 5 1st gen upstairs working off the Sonos 1 app and then 2 x Play 1 speakers (second gen) downstairs working off Sonos 2 app.They are both not working correctly. They start up in the morning but then stop/drop off the network?

Hi there, I am looking at purchasing a BenQ W1800 projector for a little cinema project in my storage unit. I currently have 2 x Sonos Era 300 and a Sonos Arc Ultra, and a Panasonic Blu Ray player.  My question is, what is the best way of setting this up? The projector will be ceiling mounted some distance from the screen, and Sonos Arc Ultra, so I am wondering how best to connect it all up. I am aware HDMI cables only work up to a relatively short distance? Therefore, how would you recommend connecting the Sonos Arc Ultra to the projector, and would it need a HD Fury or something similar to convert the audio signal to eARC? Or is it easier to look at doing it via an AVR?  Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Hi, I moved to a new place last year, a two-storey apartment. Since then (and maybe also linked to the big Sonos update), I’m experiencing quite some issues with my Sonos installation.It got so bad that I thought I’d buy two additional Era 100 speakers to replace my Play:1 and a One SL, but in fact this doesn’t have seemed to make a difference (so meanwhile I just added them as extra speakers - but that wasn't the intention of course).The issues I’m experiencing: Sonos App performing badly (devices randomly not showing up, speakers working but some not allowing to manage the volume, songs playing 10-15 seconds after having selected them, sometimes the app just keeps loading the devices infinitely without showing any, ...) Speakers marked as “offline” while they are online “Can’t connect to Sonos” when opening the app Grouping the audio from the TV on the Playbar with other speakers is more or less impossible, t

When switching between the cover photo and the playlist, every time I switch between them, I have to go seeking the song in the list, which is a pain in the butt….why don’t they fix this…..its the one thing they have left out that I loved…..I hate tweaking a playlist in a party or with company and having to scroll through trying to find the song I’m looking for, It always defaults back to the beginningI see no workaround….any one else?
