Hi @Ace-Gio

I’m sorry to hear that you’re having issues playing Dolby Digital+ 5.1 content. You should be able to play that on your system without it cutting out.

If the app is showing Dolby Atmos, then somewhere down the line the format being passed to your Sonos Arc is being adjusted. I’ve seen other posts with similar setups to you, and these were the suggested settings for your Nvidia Shield and LG TV:

On the LG TV, adjust the following settings:

  • HDMI Input Audio Format: Bitstream
  • Digital Sound Output: Pass Through
  • eARC Support: On

On the Nvidia Shield, go to Settings > Device Preferences > Display & Sound > Advanced sound settings > Available formats and set this to AUTO.

Once you’ve adjusted those, try to play your Dolby Digital+ 5.1 tracks again to see if they’re showing correctly. If you still aren’t seeing the correct format, try playing something without the Nvidia Shield to see if the wrong format is still being shown.

While I don’t use an LG TV or Nvidia Shield myself, my post will push your thread to the top of recently active, where another use who does could reply with their recommended settings.

I hope this helps!
