so disappointed in Sonoscustomer service cannot help called twicewill not  power on at all should i even waste my money with another one

Hello , I recently added two Era 100s to my Beam Gen2 , my question is when i ask to play everywhere on my app to have all three units playing, both my Era100s gives distortion sounds not clear . the beam gen2 is directly connected to audio ARC HDMI and the Eras are on wifi. is there something i am doing wrong , and how can i get pure sure 

Why is the topic of Sonos radio discontinued? This is a problem Sonos must address to its customers. I don’t want it therefore I should be able to remove it from my choices. Unless I’m mistaken it’s the default station on my Sonos. Since I’m unable to remove it can I at least change the default setting? I was a Bose customer for years and just recently replaced my Bose with Sonos. Maybe I should have gone with LG, Vizio or some other brand that let me utilize my setup as I see fit. This really is unacceptable ☹️.

I have the ray connected to my kitchen tv. I am currently doing a remodel in the kitchen and I planned on putting in ceiling speakers in the cooking and prep area. It is possible to connect ray with the amp? That way I can hear more clearly a TV show while doing a cooking/cleaning task

Airplay2 from iTunes (Windows) and Roon does not work on Arc Ultra and Era Speakers. (Other Sonos products is working well.)Playback appears to start, but the seek-bar remains stuck and no sound is produced.(Factory reset of speakers, and restart router did not work)

Short version:Since the latest software drop my Spotify Playlist alarm has stopped working and is replaced by the HATED Sonos Chime.  I have tried deleting and re-creating the alarm, changing the playlist. When managing alarms via the Android App and Windows App (not the Web App) I get odd results. Anyone else experiencing this? Longer version: I have a 20-player Sonos setup that includes a pair of Sonos Play: 1s in the bedroom.  I have had an alarm set in the morning for years that plays a Spotify playlist that has been saved to Sonos Favourites. These players have been problematic since the App debacle with typically a 10-20s delay for them to respond when controlled via the Android app (Open App - Select “Bedroom” - Zone displays with a volume of -1 and “No Content” - wait 10-20s - Zone updates with actual volume and actual content). However up until the last software drop the alarm functio

I thought to share what has been a complete solution to my MacBook woes of getting Sonos S2 to stay connected to my library.Obviously I checked all network sharing etc etc but some times it would connect, sometimes it would drop out and refuse to reconnect.In frustration I removed the Sonos app, downloaded and installed fresh - no improvement.Solution:Remove the app completely using an app removal tool - I used App Cleaner (free) Re load the app as a fresh install Follow instructions on identifying where your library can be found (Music on my machine) It works and stays working !I think some data file is created during install that hangs around messing up the system that needs to be got rid of and a fresh install create a new one.   Works for me on Sequoia 15.5

Amazed to see that I was actually able to create an alarm today using iOS app ( after several days of attempting to do it and troubleshooting with zero success,)  However, is defaulting to the annoying chime sound instead of playing music playlist.  Can we get an update from Sonos on what is happening? I am spending way too much time on this and trying to troubleshoot it on my end when it’s clearly something wrong on the back end  

Why? When was this EVER a problem? Ever since the car crash update 3 or more years ago blocking the use of iTunes playlists etc. You all know the one?! I have  had Sonos for a decade until that update it was stellar, since…. let’s not go there…. money spent Sonos do not care, obviously… sorry my router is in a cupboard... 

Sonos sent me an email asking me to write a review of the Ace. I spent a couple hours writing out a thorough and thoughtful review with lots of feedback. They haven’t posted it, and at this point it’s clear they have no intention to. So their review section is cherrypicked reviews, and the average rating is willfully biased.

I would like to use two non-Sonos speakers for my rear surround. Please recommend me suitable products to be used for rear speakers,compatible with my Sonos arc.

I purchased the Sonos Era 300 for Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio with Apple Music — a flagship feature marketed prominently by Sonos. After 8-9+ months, this functionality is still broken: tracks play in Atmos for a few songs, then degrade to stereo with no fix in sight. Sonos support confirmed this is a known issue, but there’s been zero communication, acknowledgement, or roadmap update. This needs urgent attention from engineering leadership — not Tier 1 support loops. So frustrating not to be able to use these speakers for their MAIN SELLING POINT, and no communication or action apparent from Sonos despite acknowledging it’s a known issue

I was finally able to get my Sonos One onto the network with my new router, after calling Sonos Support.I have added Amazon Music and SiriusXM as Content Services. When I ask Alexa to play Channel 31 on SiriusXM, Alexa says “playing Channel 31 on SiriusXM,” but doesn’t play anything. Similarly it tells me playing (selection name) on Amazon music, and plays nothing. If I use the Sonos app to select a song from Sirius or Amazon, the speaker Does play it.Also when waking Alexa, the Sonos One does not chime, the white light just flashes, which is unusual. How to fix these glitches?

I have two Play:1 speakers that generally work well and play across the various services I have. However, one of them won’t allow me to play a specific radio station via TuneIn (nor Sonos Radio) -- WPFW, a public station in Washington, D.C.Speaker details:A:  Play:1 Version: 17.1.1 (build 85066270) Hardware Version: 1.20.1.6-1.2 Series ID: A200 B: Play:1 Version: 17.1.1 (build 85066270) Hardware Version: 1.8.3.7-1.0 Series ID: A101 If I try to start listening to WPFW on Speaker A, it looks like it’s initiating but then just returns to Stop.  If I start it on Speaker B, it works fine.  If I start it on B then group it with A, both play it. If I then upgroup B, it will stop on A.  In short, the only way to listen to it on A is to have it grouped.I don’t seem to have this issue with any other radio station, although I guess it’s definitely possible given the number. I have a Sonos One and recently upgraded to a TP-Link_278 router. When I tap Update network in the Sonos app, it says Update the network settings for your products so they can connect to you wifi. Result is “unable to update these products, to add to network factory reset them. Tap continue and it says Unable to update, factory reset. I do that and get the green flashing light that the instructions call for, but when I then tap the Update network setting I get the same result (Unable to update). 

Hi there,Our Amazon Firestick is controlling the Sonos Beam2 Soundbar and TV which is great but we cannot see the physical volume number when we adjust the volume.ie, cannot see a number such as 10, 11, 12 etc. line we do with our other TV’s with soundbars and Firestick connected. I feel like we have tried everything with no luck.Anyone else have this issue?

Every time I need to switch by arc (wired via ethernet)  and wireless connection to twp Play 3s from Music to the audio from a projector / appletv I have so many problems. Usually have to unplug all cables and power and reset.  any ideas?  I am running the earc signal through a Cable Matters extractor with earc.  

Is it already on the list of future enhancements to allow the «volume limit» setting to be changed through the api? This is something I would really like to see….. 😀

So, another one of my ROAM dies. Not the first Orange light I have had - gratefully replaced by Richer Sounds under extended guarantee. This one is not so lucky - it will be consigned to the recycling centre small electronics bin.My advice, for computers/desks: BUY WIRED! I’m fed up replacing these when used as a stereo pair. They dont last the test of time. Simple as that.

I’ve just finished work on a new house and could use some advice on placing speakers. I’ve got an Arc Ultra for video, and that’s more than adequate for our TV needs, so I don’t need to connect anything more to it. But for music, I want more – both for casual listening throughout the combined kitchen, dining room and living room, and for somewhat more focused listening (or at least the best and loudest sound) in the kitchen itself.  My working assumption has been six Era 100s mounted high on the walls, plus a sub, as shown below.  But is this optimal? Should I be going in a different direction? Thank you! 

I have just returned to Sonos after a few years of no Sonos gear. I got 3 era 100s.  I remember that when running trueplay the tones were quite loud. But when tuning the era 100s the tones were quite quiet. I’ve done some playing around and I’ve realised that trueplay sets the volume of the tones to whatever volume the speaker was set to prior to activating trueplay. This is advanced trueplay with iPhone.  I am not altering the volume once trueplay starts. I thought trueplay defaults to a preset volume? Just in case someone asked here is a diagnostic ********* any ideas?  Moderator Note: Diagnostic recorded and removed. I had a very strange Sonos problem today, but it now seems to be fixed. Today I received an Era 100, which I was adding to a system consisting of four older Sonos speakers in different room. I installed the Era 100 and it was able to play from streaming sources but could not play material from my music library, which is contained on a USB memory stick plugged into my router.Interestingly, I could get the Era 100 to play material from the music library by grouping it with any of the other speakers in the system if I initiated the playback from the other speaker. I called Sonos about the problem and spent a long time on the phone with a technician. He ultimately escalated the issue to Level 2 Support. The Level 2 technician revealed that the problem has been around since November 2024 and affects not only the Era 100 but also the Era 300 and some other recent speakers. The original technician stated that there was a potential solution that he could implement by remotel

In my entertainment room for music listening only, I have across the length of the large room:One end - 1 x Era 300 + Sub miniOpposite end - 2x Era 300s + Sub Gen 3I used to have the 2 eras paired in stereo with the Sub Gen 3, but recently I’ve been playing around with the system.i unpaired all to run as individual units, then paired the sub mini with the one era 300 and on the other side I paired one era 300 with the Sub Gen 3.so technically I have 3 rooms grouped:era 300 + sub miniera 300 + sub Gen 3era 300NB. I have not run trueplay as yet.i noticed when playing the group, the Sub Gen 3 bass cuts out, but not the sub mini. If I turn the sub mini off, the sub Gen 3 kicks in in play.any idea why this happens?Thanks,V

My Sonos is saying Not Connected.  Support told me to factory reset, but I have a huge number of playlists.  I just can’t lose them. I restarted wi-fi, but no luck. What will happen if I connect the speaker to my router with an Ethernet cord?
