I have recently wall mounted by Sonos Beam Gen 1 to the wall underneath my wall mounted tv.
up until that point the beam was working perfectly with the tv volume.
Now the tv volume won’t play through the beam, air play works fine through the beam.
The beam is taking control of the tv as it usually does because it has disabled the tv speakers as it usually does but no tv sound is coming though the speakers, I’ve cross checked everything, switched off the Beam, reset my WiFi hub.
went into the Sonos app and tried the TV connection and it says ino connection to TV but the beam is connected properly??

It may be basic, but have you checked tv and Sonos system for updates? Full power down of tv and beam? Unplug and reseating the optical cable? Is tv set to output audio to optical?

I have tried all your suggestions with no change.
I don’t understand how this could happen within the space of 10 hours, I have made no changes to TV settings, just unplugged from power socket whilst moving the Beam….. I’m baffled
Can you still stream from sources such as Spotify or Sonos radio? Is it just tv audio that’s not playing?
Air play works and all other sources play fine , no problems there
I think then: generate a diagnostics report and contact Sonos. It might be a tv issue; it might be Sonos…
