Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Just suddenly this week, my Mac Studio cannot connect to my Era300+mini-sub (Office Sonos). It’s worked for me the past three years, but now won’t connect with AirPlay.Through Apple Music, when I attempt to connect, I get the message:The AirPlay device “Office Sonos” cannot be selected for audio output. Please verify your network settings and AirPlay configuration or select another device.The Office Sonos speaker displays a greyed-out checkbox.Here’s what’s odd:1. I can connect through my Mac Apple Music to all of my other Sonos speakers.2. The Mac Sonos app works perfectly and connects to the Era300.3. The Mac Sound tool also cannot connect to it.4. I have 2 old play ones that I paired with 2 sonos era 100s and 3rd gen sub, can stream anything and all play, but when I stream an album from an iPhone to speakers only the era 100s will play ….. any advice will be appreciated,i know apple stopped airplay1 that's why I bought era 100s so these old speakers SONOS ONE could connect through bluetooth ?

Existing system is a Yamaha RX-A2A receiver with 5 speakers connected to a Sonos Port.  I want to add 2 Sonos speakers to the configuration. The 5 speakers will play surround sound and the 2 Sonos speakers will play stereo (I assume). Is it possible to add the 2 Sonos Era 100 speakers to this type of configuration. The room is a combined Living Room and Kitchen and the 2 Sonos speakers will be positioned in kitchen area to improve the volume of the sound. How can I add the Sonos speakers to the existing configuration?

Hi I am having issues with my S1 app and my play 5 Gen 1. I have tried connecting the play 5 to the S2 app but it telling me that it is not compatible and when I now try to open the S1 app it move to the S2. Can I connect the play 5 to the new controller or how do I get the S1 app to work. Clearly there has been some upgrades that have put a spanner in the works?

I’ve accepted that I now have to reset my MacOS 17.0 desktop app twice/day (when i bring my laptop to work and then back home).  It’s annoying, but whatever.However, riddle me this - my Music folder shows up at work, yet, at home, I am “unable to add (913)”.Same laptop, same app.  Just different locations and different “systems”.

Hi,Advice from anyone positioning Era100’s as surrounds in the corner of the room please. Room is 188 x 124 inches, on one of the longer walls there is a 64 inch tv mounted on the wall in the exact centre with a Sonos Arc on a unit underneath (again in the exact centre).On the opposite wall is the couch (positioned against the wall) which is off centre due to a door, the left seat of the couch (which is the main listening position) is directly opposite the centre of the tv / Arc. I’ve got duel subs and enjoy the sound, but would like to add surrounds. For aesthetic reasons I’d prefer the Era 100’s over the 300’s, and to wall mount them in the corners of the same wall as the couch just above head height. I’ve been looking at the Flexson Wall Mount which enable me to fit into a corner, plus has a small degree of horizontal swivel so I can turn towards the listening position  I appreciate this will have an impact on the sound quality, but has anyone any experience of this positioning - is

What is the best way to manage double disks in my Music Library in Sonos?  I set the disk number to 1 and 2 in “Tag & Rename”, but this seems to be ignored by Sonos. I then set the track numbers to 101, 102, ...201, 202… but that did not work either in Sonos.  It seems that I have to include double CDs as two separate CDs, which is not ideal.  

I need to do some troubleshooting of a family member’s Sonos system I set up. This second system is in a different location. Can I change the iPhone Sonos app login to log in to this system (I have the username and password since I originally set up that system) without interfering with my own home system? 

I have no way of adjusting the volume on a stereo pair of Play 3’s. They are not grouped. It says Stereo Pair Recent HistoryI just changed broadband providers however my router was connected to a mesh network that provided its own network (wifi and LAN) to Sonos and the Wifi was turned off on the router as it is now. When the broadband changed two days ago I had no issues, initially, with Sonos. However, the next morning I noticed that the Arc Ultra was not working and I had to power it off and on for it to re-add. That fixed the issue Then last night I was playing some music late at night and I tend to play it on all devices and i could hear the bedroom stereo pair really loudly Before the router change I had taken the two 3’s off the system as surronds to my Arc (not Ultra) and set them up as a stereo pair. That worked okay. So back to last night. I went to lower the volume on the stereo pair and there was no volume control.They just played very loud. As I type this, and check my fac

I am dumping the Sonos products after they ruined it with the new app.  It never works correctly. Whoever made the new app should have been fired 

Compré un era 100 y una arc ultra en usa; luego sume otro era 100 pero esta vez lo compré en Italia. El cual me entero una vez que estoy en Argentina que no es compatible con la barra arc ultra por ser de diferentes regiones. Llame a Sonos y me dicen que ellos no pueden hacer nada. sonos Android app 80.23.9sonos OS 85-0-65270Android 14 Kernal 5.10.218 A minor but annoying problem with the Android App,  if you delete a playlist it will stay cached as an entry until you close and re-open the app.Thus if you want to delete a playlist and store a new one with the same name (as I was trying to do) then having deleted it when you go to add it as a new playlist the old one is still shown and it wont let you overwrite it.   You have to close and reopen the App to clear it. 

When is Sonos going to reinstate the battery life indicator for Move when in Bluetooth mode? Since the App update it’s disappeared. I thought it would have been done by now. 

Often when connected to my sonos era 100 via Bluetooth and trying to play media, the media app will say it is playing but the speaker makes no sound. Sometimes turning the speaker off and on again will fix the issue. The speaker is not muted, and the phone and speaker are connected to the same wifi network. I can get the speaker to play a chime in the sonos app, so I don't believe it is a connection issue. This happens often enough that it's a real hassle. Anyone had this problem and successfully fixed it?

Hi all, I currently have a NJ house with following:Family Room : Arc, Sub Mini, 2- One SL for surroundKitchen  :  One (w/voice Control)MBR : BeamOffice: Play: 1addl: Move and Roam And a Chicago Apt with:Kitchen : In-Ceiling Speakers connected to Sonos Amp #1Living Rm :  In-Ceiling Speaker connected to Sonos Amp #2 We are moving to Chicago Apt and I need to make sure I everything that moves can be set up there and working right. My Sonos App works flawlessly now as when I’m in NJ it works fine:  When I connect to Chicago Wifi it works the two Amps fine.what is the correct process to disconnect sonos devices here in NJ, have them moved, and then set them up and connect them in Chicago? Thanks in advance, GT

i have downstairs rooms running on S2.  5 bedrooms all have Play 5s running on S1 system. It used to work ok. But when I open the S1 app all it does is find the S2 system and tell me to switch to the S2 app. It happens on all my devices. I used to have many more Sonos devices, including in other properties. I’ve sold them all since the Sonos S2 introduction fiasco. 

Is it true that using your headphones with the arc ultrasound bar you cannot simultaneously listen through the sound bar?

Please can this be added as a feature? like many my plugs are behind heavy furniture and are hard to get to.  Unplugging from the speaker end is also tricky as the cable is connected very snuggly. If I only had to restart them once in a while, this would be ok.  Currently I have to restart them every couple of weeks to keep Apple AirPlay working. Many thanks,Danni.

Before Sonos “updated/downgraded” its IOS app, it was possible to add a song I was listening to one of my Deezer playlists. This is no longer possible in the IOS app… but you can still do it if you use the desktop app!!!!Sonos… please put back this feature on the IOS app, this would make our user experience and journey so much better! 

I have bought in total 4 Symfonisks about a year ago. In theory they work fine but they have only seem to be getting worse in terms of music playback.My setup is only those symfonisks. I have one (symf1) hardwired to ethernet as it is close to the router. I don't have a very big house and it is all one floor, the furthest 1 symfonisk is, is at about 12 m (symf4, with direct line 4 walls in between. Furthermore, another one is in the bedroom at about 8 m with 2 walls inbetween both the symf1 as well as the router. I have tried also removing the ethernet (symf1) and rebooting all symfs but this didn't not help.I also tried putting all of them on 2.4GHz.They have switches over to Sonosnet a couple of times but it seems that they dont always keep that configuration.My wifi is really stable and high speed with low latency. All devices stay connected and have 0 issues with video calls. Also manual pinging shows consistently low values (<10ms with most of them 1-2ms). The issues I am getti

HiI have a problem with Era 100 pair when I airplay music from Apple Music. For some reason right speakers cuts out for a second or two. I have tried to stream with Bluetooth and then there is no cutting out. If I airplay it to another system on network there is no cutting outs. So only problem seems to be with Eras

Has anybody tried the Sonos Ace (True Cinema functionality) via each the Sonos Ray, Beam and Arc?I’ve looked up the spec for each soundbar and can’t quite find the information I think would be necessary for gauging whether or not there would be any difference in the headphone listening experience, per soundbar, in True Cinema mode.For example, does the Arc have a superior means via which to measure/replicate room acoustics? Does the Arc have any other relevant superior elements in its specification (for example, quality of audio transmission via bluetooth, quality of atmos encoding to account for room acoustics) that mean the headphone listening experience (in True Cinema mode) would be any different compared to, for example, the Ray? If there is any difference, is it quite significant?And a final question: if one wanted to have a hybrid system with Ace headphones and, for example, a Sonos subwoofer (perhaps using ‘aware’ mode via the headphones, or - it one exists - some other Sonos p

In the past could have days every attempt to do anything in the Sonos app times out.  It doesn’t read my record player anymore, and the simple task of changing music preferences times out.    I have fantastic internet.. so it’s not me.   What’s happened?   I really don’t want to go through another badly planned upgrade.
