When I want to use the line input (I have the A2D USB-C adapter) on my Era 300 to play my turntable or cassette deck, the speaker doesn't detect that I've switched from streaming and am now using the line input. It doesn't happen automatically. I have to manually unplug & reinsert the line in before the speaker switches over which is, tbh, incredibly annoying. Is there a way to switch sources over in the app? Or is there a voice command? I can't find an option anywhere which seems crazy. Having to reach around to the back of the speaker and fiddle with the 3.5mm jack is really frustrating. I can't believe there's not an easier way on an AUD$750.00 speaker.

I’ve been having serious problems with Pocket Casts ever since the major Sonos app overhaul. I’m finding that “New Releases” under PocketCasts often does not load properly. At this point, I can force it to load by tapping “Try again” after that appears and that will manually load the podcasts. I have a shortcut on my homescreen for PocketCasts New Releases and pretty much every time I open the app that will say unable to load. If I remove that shortcut, reauthorize PocketCasts and add it again, often it will appear but then it doesn’t update and soon shows the “Unable to load” status again. This has been happening despite my trying all kinds of things to resolve this: reauthorizing PocketCasts, removing it as a content service and then re-adding it, updating the app, resetting the app, changing control channels, tweaking my wifi settings, etc. I used to use an Android phone to control Sonos but currently I have a newer iPad Pro, an iPhone 14 Pro, and an older iPad from about 10 year

SONOS don't seem to care that their app is awful - I'm spoken to their tech guys and changed wifi settings, which has reduced range and functions on some other items - it's still awful. It's worked properly for maybe a month in total solid since I brought my system (2xEra 300, 1 x Era 100) last February. Given that it requires the app so heavily it is not fit for purpose under the consumer rights act in the UK and I'm going to be returning all of mine. Any suggestions on something is similar quality but less crap? I’m thinking BOSE. The SONOS sound quality is good, but it’s not worth it not working 90% of the time.

I see that era 300 speakers are on sale for $100 off now, but I am concerned that after spending thousands of dollars over the years on Sonos products as to the health of the company because of their app fiasco as to whether they will be around in the future. Not sure what to do.

I have 2 x Era 300 - sound great and no problems when they work.   I have my turntable connected via BT and also my PC using the wifi from spotify.  If I play on the turn table I will not then be able to connect from my pc after until I cut power and restart the era’sAny way to stop this?  I just want a seamless swap between if possible.  

I’m looking for advice on where to put two Era 100s for a surround setup. You can see in the image below we have a strange, bi-level house. The TV, beam (gen 2), and the sub-mini are on the right side of the image below. The common TV viewing points are the sectional and the kitchen table and this setup would be used for movies, TV shows, sports, and music. There’s a railing right behind the sectional where the stairs are and the back wall is about 6.5 feet behind the couch. I’m considering either mounting the era 100s to the railing posts (this wouldn’t look very clean), adding a skinny table behind the sectional for the era 100s, or running some outlets up the back wall and mounting the era 100s to the wall (this feels like the rear speakers would be too far away and might lose sound to the basement). Does anyone have any better ideas or any thoughts on the existing ideas? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I recently purchased a Marantz 7725 2 channel power amp to drive my LR mini towers. To simplify and automate the system for my wife, I intentionally chose an amp that had a 12VDC trigger input. Imagine my surprise when the Port failed to trigger the amp! Grr! I tried Sonos support and the newbie on the line didn’t even know what a trigger was, no less it’s functionality. Double grrr!I am a retired Cedía guy, so I went to this forum to do some research, and learned that the Port’s trigger can only synch 200ma, which is pretty lame IMO. I could not find a spec on the current draw on the Marantz, but I was pretty sure I knew the solution. I bought a 12VDC SPST relay (ELK 912 that I’d been using for years) that draws 40ma from the coil. The Port triggered it open and closed as expected. I used it to close the circuit of a standard wall wart (500ma) and viola! Problem solved.  Sigh…. My love/hate relationship with Sonos continues. At least I got my Music Library back

I have 2 ‘five’s setup in stereo, will a sub really make that much of a difference?

I am building a new space.  I plan on having an Arc Ultra under the TV and a pair of 8” in ceiling speakers slightly behind the viewing couch. I also plan on dual sub 4s.  Is it better to have them up front on either side of the TV, or on either side of the couch, or behind the couch on either side?  As I need to plan outlet placement and some other features in advance, I can’t test this out after the room is built.

I do reboot my wifi system on a weekly basis on 2 am (there is a feature within the deco). I have 6 deco devices spread over the house. After each restart some sonos speaker are unavailable and all ungrouped. Alarm does not work at all. After few hours!!! most of the speaker recover by themself, some manual handling is allways required.

I noticed that since the latest update, press and hold play now does not work on favorites. It works on everything else. Tapping once on favorites still works.

I have an android (15) phone. I had a system set up at the old house with no issues. We just moved, and when I attempt to set up with the new network, I keep being told I need to update the app. But when I go to the play store, there isn’t a new version, and doesn’t appear to be anywhere I can update anything at all (only the options to open or uninstall, I already uninstalled and reinstalled). I’ve had a Sonos Beam 2 all of 3 days and am wondering if I’ve made a mistake. I would have expected a pretty slick experience yet it seems the simple task of getting BBC radio to work is an utter PITA.After faffing on correcting my country etc to get it to let me setup the service I thought all was good. I asked Sonos to play BBC Radio 2 and it worked, same with Radio 4. This worked fine for a couple of days.
