Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Today I added a Sub Mini to a pair of ERA100s and am surprised by how lackluster this speaker is. Our bedroom is quite small—about 10’x11’—and being familiar with subwoofers, I expected to hear some major bass. The Sub Mini is kind of in a corner and when I brought it out a couple of feet, didn’t hear a difference. I tried different kinds of music, including some electronic dub music that’s heavy on the bass. I also made sure one of the open areas of the speaker was facing forward.Even more surprising, when I made adjustments using the Sonos app on my iPhone, I could hear no difference at all. I turned the Sub Mini up as far as it would go, no difference. I tried to switch the phase from 0 to 180, and this button doesn’t work at all. And then when I removed the Sub Mini from the system while it was playing music, I closed my eyes and waited to hear a difference. But I could discern none. So what is going on? My Sonos move is flashing white, I have tried multiple times to do a factory reset. I have no chime when I turn it off like the reset mentions. Speaker also no longer is showing up on the app. I have updated my network with no success to the speaker. Has anyone successfully done a factory reset without hearing the charm etc. Is the speaker done with?

Hi,I’m considering purchasing the Sonos 5. My current problem is I own 4 IKEA/Sonos symfonisk speakers which are great however they seem to suffer from network connectivity issues from time to time. My question is whether or not adding a Sonos 5 would fix this problem as it has perhaps more dedicated hardware to address the sonos net issues.I have a very modern Unifi Dream Router and a dedicated network just for Sonos but it still requires being restarted every few weeks or reseting sonos speakers which is a bit annoying. It even seems to occasionally affect 2 of the speakers which are directly connected by ethernet.Is there any evidence to support my theory that adding a Sonos Five would fix this? Thanks

I doubt this will cover any ground that hasn’t already been covered but I am at that stage where I just need to air all the problems and issues I have after the disastrous May update and all the subsequent updates.I’m no expert in these matters but know enough to at least set up and use Sonos and also connect up a NAS drive to play my music library. All the speakers operate wirelessly. My broadband connection is fast and there are no reception dead spots in the house - it’s a bungalow. The speakers are 2 x Play 3 plus a Playbase, sub and 2 x One which form myTV room sound system.Whilst the app has never been perfect, it was at least generally OK and fit for purpose. A few little niggles and issues here and there but nothing that couldn’t usually be fixed by simply resetting the app, rebooting the router or turning Sonos products off and back on.After reading about all the problems with the new update I simply reverted back to the old version of the app. I have m

It’s the 4th of July, having a get-together and NO MUSIC!!!! Ever since the new software update, Sonos hasn’t been playing anything. I’ve done everything, including removing and reinstalling the app. Any other work arounds? THIS SUCKS and now I’m thinking a new sound system is in order 

Hello all,I'm lucky enough to have 2 tablets. I kept the old and working app on my first Android tablet and have the new app on my latest addition.My favorites are grayed out on the new app and are totally unusable. This was, by the way, the only published possibility to keep the custom radio streams following  the decomissioning of the old TuneIn service.At the end, one cannot add or edit custom radio stations and even use the old ones. And when the user uses the old app, playing those custom radios is randomly cut after a few seconds or minutes resulting into an cryptic error message.Has anyone been able to solve these issues?By the way, congratulations to Sonos to have trashed an slightly imperfect app to replace it by this actual nightmare.

Played as normal and experiensed that my living room setup didn’t get full sound, stopped all other rooms and now I don’t get access ? 

When Sonos ‘upgraded’ its app, I pretty much lost everything.  I have a large music collection and I prefer to keep it on my MacBook where there is enough storage for it.  When the ‘upgrade’ occurred, I had already spent HOURS getting the app working again after an automatic update happened sometime in January while I was away.  I returned home and none of the 8 speakers matched their labels anymore, songs would not play completely and music bounced from one speaker to another.  When I called Sonos, one rep told me I should not have set the updates to automatic.  Another one altered my email so the remedy didn’t get to me for several weeks--after I wrote a snail mail letter to the CEO.  I have now moved away from the Sonos app and am just using Apple AirPlay.  Is anyone else going this route?  I don’t have many of the issues I was having with Sonos.  

Hi hive mind. Anyone currently experiencing this or has experienced it?I can login to Sonos using any browser on my Mac or Windows. I can’t on my phone or iPad. I can if I use Google search but not Chrome on my iphone but that doesn’t help as of course the Sonos app will only use the default browser. It doesn’t matter if I use the app or the browser as the start point.

Ever since the new sonos app update I have been unable to add my siriusxm canada acct to sonos. It was fine before the update. When it updated, it dumped SiriusXM. I have tried everything I know of and cannot get it added back as a sonos service. Help. It keeps telling me check your internet service, meanwhile other stations are playing. Obviously I have internet

I have been playing my 4k movies on my Xbox series x and it skips on a lot of movies. So a few months ago I got a 4k standalone player and it was amazing working through the sonos sound system, then I played a movie DTS and sound was terrible. Even though the picture skips on the Xbox the sound is great for all movies, this includes DTS. Does anyone have a 4k player and do they have issues with DTS going to 2.0 channels?

Hi,Im having trouble finding the correct MAC number for my two Symfonisk Bookshelf. Also have the lamp, but found the MAC fairly easy on that one. Cant connect them to wifi before ive whitelisted em, so beed MAC from the SN.. 

Sounds like a few people have this issue, but playlists are no longer working in the app. Tried on a few devices. All updated. Sometimes I get the message “something went wrong”. Sometimes it loads but nothing will play. See screenshot. Tried restating all Sonos devices, uninstalling the app, restarting iPhone.  

Is there any roadmap to support the Play5 G1 in the S2 App?   it would be very disappointing to have to maintain two apps and not leverage legacy hardware in more current whole home system. 

Each time I attempt to update the music library on my Sonos System the library completely disappears and had to be reconnected by entering NAS path details. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I’m not sure when this started, but I noticed it today. When I load a playlist from my Amazon Music account within the Sonos App, it plays ten songs and the stops with an error that there is information missing from my Amazon Account, go to music.amazon.com to fix it. I log in and everything looks fine. If I delete and re-add the service, it works again for another ten songs then stops. I am a full Amazon music subscriber, not prime or free. 

I'm wondering if it is in the cards with any of your future updates to change the way the playlist looks.  Or give customers the option to view either way. The current view of playlist under Sonos Favorites. See picture A. Is not user friendly and is difficult to scroll through the large font and pictures. Especially those with many playlists. It should be more like a summary line view  Like when you see when you click edit playlists. See picture A.It was better before you guys did the new update on the app so I'm hoping you guys will bring back the older view, it's easier to navigate through. Thank you hopefully we'll see this soon  

I need help how to manage to play different music playlist simultaneously in 2 different speakers. Before to upgate the app this was no problem. Now, since the app is updates, looks is not possible to do this + I receive more and more a the message "something went wrong"…This is not confortable!  

Hi all, SInce early June 2024, my Sonos app on Android is stuck in an infinite update loop. The app says a software update is available, asks to start the update, when I initiate the update the app says that my system is up-to-date, I then click on end and I’m back at square 1 where the app says a software update is available. I’m not sure if this refers to an app update or an update of the speaker software. I can’t get out of this loop. I can only send diagnostics. My Sonos app is completely unusable. I have to go through the Spotify app to use my speakers.I uninstalled the app, updated my android firmware, unplugged all speakers, reset the wifi routers. My system is 2 x One, Sub and Boost.  Do others have the same issue? I couldn’t find a recent post about this. 

Problem with Sonos Roam after App update.  Cannot use Roam as speaker to my phone to hear You Tube videos via Bluetooth.  It works a short time after Roam factory reset, then stops working - seemingly because the Sonos App overrides it. It will still work for music through the app, but no sound with bluetooth connection to phone, even though my phone says bluetooth IS connected to Roam.  Both Roam and phone are connected to same wifi.   I used to be able to switch from hearing music through Sonos App to hearing talk from YouTube videos through bluetooth connection to Roam. The problem is new, after the recent big update of Sonos App. 

Can you please make the Sonos Ace headphones fully passive with the new firmware? It is possible?ThanksDavid

My arc,sub and two era 300s worked fine together. When the new app came out it keep my two 300s on my wifi and put my arc and sub onto my guest network. The arc and sub worked fine together but i couldnt connect my two 300s cause they cant connect to a guest network. I tried to move everyhing to my normal network but now my arc cant connect to my network. Anyone know how to fix this?
