Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi all, since the most recent updates, I can finally browse my NAS music library folders again on the iOS app, and play all songs in a (sub)folder, just like I could in the old app and still can do in the macOS app.In that macOS app, I can also still add any library (sub)folder to my favorites, such that I quickly navigate to, well, my favorite (sub)folders. The iOS app doesn’t support this, however. What’s more, when I add a folder to the favorites in the macOS app, it shows up under my favorites in the iOS app, but it is not accessible from the home screen, with the message “No longer available. Press Edit Home to delete.” Is this planned to be fixed in a coming update? I sure hope it does, as this is the prime way for me to select music to play. Thanks, Bjorn

Hi, I have w problem with logging in to Sonos app. I enter the login and password, I seem to log in and when I enter the app I am stil not logged in. I re-uploaded the app and nothing helped 

I read many topics about downgrading your speaker to S1 where they say: “chose option to downgrade the wired device” I don’t see this option in the app.  Can someone answer me: is downgrading still possible, or has it be intentionally blocked out?

Does the Sonos Ace support Dolby Atmos and spatial audio when using the TV audio swap through Beam gen 1?

Any reason why I can only seem to get Dolby 5.1 and not Dolby Atmos? I'm pretty sure I have everything set up properly via my Sonos, Apple TV, and Samsung s95b (FYI, it did work in the past). Samsung is connected to Sonos Arc via eArc.  All my Samsung settings are set to eArc and pass-through, etc.  Apple TV is also set to Dolby Atmos, but when I play Atmos content from ATV, Netflix, Amazon, etc, no audio is heard. If I change my ATV settings back to 5.1 from Atmos, all audio is fine.  So, why would I not be getting Atmos?  What settings am I missing?  Thanks!

I have a Sonos Arc (2023) installed on my Samsung Smart TV (2021). I have been using my TV for my work monitor with my laptop for the past 4 months with no issues. Two days ago, my Arc started making static noises any time my laptop made a sound. I can change the source of my TV to anything else (cable or the multitude of streaming apps) and there is no static whatsoever from my Arc, it plays beautifully. When I change the source back to the laptop it is just fine until it makes any noise. When I start a conference call, or play a video, or just have a notification go off for email or messaging and the Arc plays a static noise, along with whatever sound is coming through the laptop.I have not moved my laptop or router, nor have I added any new wireless devises to my setup, or had any hardware/software updates that would have caused this out of the blue. When this started two days ago, I have since done the following troubleshooting, with no success, so now posting here for an assist.Mo

After a dozen calls to the Sonos help desk the Sonos app won’t update any changes that I make in iTunes. I have made changes to the firewall, checked and rechecked the music folder settings, and other checks and changes that are to numerous to mention here. The Sonos Help Desk has been anything but helpful. Just bought a new arc and trying to get it fine tuned.  Playing Jack Ryan on Amazon prime.  I am able to get Dolby digital plus but not Dolby atmos.   I using Earc from LG Oled C 65” to Arc.  I think I have everything switched properly.   Sonos said Dolby Digital plus 5.1 is the same as Dolby atmos.

Hi all, Like many people I’ve been having a nightmare with the new app, but I didn’t find any threads on my specific problem. My setup is Sonos (Beam + various One SLs + a Roam) with Spotify and Apple (Apple TV on the Beam, plus using iPhone, mac etc). Since updating to the new app, the most basic use cases don’t work:I’ve always played music mostly from Spotify When I try to group rooms while music has playing, to put it on more speakers, it now breaks. It stops the music and kicks you around back and forth between the apps. It even pauses the music… eventually you hit play again in Spotify and the sound comes on everywhere Once set up, it also breaks when you try to do it in the Sonos app, so it’s impossible to do this from either app. You also can't skip tracks etc from within Sonos, if it’s started from Spotify (you used to be able to do this) The only thing that appears to work is to change volume within the Sonos app or remove speakers from the group I also used to be able to

A question for you tech heads. A clinical client have asked for a list of urls which needs to accessible over the internet for Sonos speakers and Sonos Port device because they are very tight on security of anything using their network, even dedicated av lans.

My Sonos one worked perfectly until one night my internet cut out, it disappeared from the app and will not reconnect. I’ve factory reset it 5 different times. All my other Sonos devices connected okay and didn’t disappear from the app. I spoke to someone and said it’s something to do with the software update that came out for it, it still won’t connect to my app, has anyone else had this issue? 

i currently have sonos amp and i’m adding couple of subwoofers and i was wondering if it is possible to use a subwoofer amp with sonos amp ! if yes can anyone explain how please . thank you 

Why do my Sonos speakers come on randomly blasting out of the blue? I was on a conference call and needed to hang up to unplug the speakers behind the refrigerator. I know every app can select Sonos speaker and I cannot find anything on my end that caused this to happen and I don’t want it to happen again. We have no pets and no reason for any of this to have happened. Please help. 

I currently have my Beam 2 connected via HDMI eARC to my LG TV. It works perfectly. I can also use my iPhone to connect to it as well (testing purpose only). I would like to connect my Denon 760H receiver to the Beam 2 as well.I’ve set the Denon for Bluetooth+Speaker, the Bluetooth Transmitter to ON, and pressed the JOIN button on the Beam 2. No luck. I even pressed the Bluetooth button on the receiver remote for three seconds to try and get it to connect, but it doesn’t find any available devices. I’ve tried the aforementioned with and without the SONOS app. The app can’t see any devices that want to connect when trying to connect to the Denon receiver. Of course, I’ve powered things on an off as well. No help.My desire is to use the Beam 2 as my speakers for the Denon (in addition to the TV), and not use a pair of external speakers (I already got rid of the 30+ year old speakers).Has anyone had any luck trying to do this? Or am I better off buying another speaker source for the Denon

HiUnfortunately I have a TV with no digital optical audio outlet, are there any adapters on the market or any other ways to connect the Ray to a TV with no digital optical audio outlet? 

Well the CEO posted this, I believe before July:July and August:Improving the stability when adding new products Implementing Music Library configuration, browse, search, and playI still have not seen an update that fixes the Music Library omission and today is September 9th. I have found a work around with an Android music app that I can connect to TV/ARC that is hardwired. However, it is not ideal and SONOS loses the connection when my phone goes into sleep mode. Also, in order to connect the other speakers in the house (all WiFI connections), I have to go to the TV speakers, add the speakers I want to listen to and turn off the volume to the ARC connected speakers.It sure would be nice to get an update from SONOS staff as to when or when not to expect an update. This has been going on since May. What a way treat your loyal customers. I have a total of 11 SONOS speakers, that includes a Bass connected to the ARC.

So I become a proud owner of Beam Gen2, Sub Gen3, and two Symphonisk bookshelfs Gen1…….And this is my first post here.I spent whole day trying to maake it work. Just to make it clear I am an network engineer….. It definitelly is clunky….So my network setup is:3x Cisco CBW 240ac access points1x Huawei HG8145V5 router1x Cisco c3750 switchSonos:2x Bookshelfs connected over wifi1x Beam Gen2 connected over wifi1x Sub Gen3 connected over ethernetStory:Right after breakfest I full of enthusiasm started configuration with adding beam (wireless) to my new Sonos household, it worked somehow, opened the app an it is a mess honestly :D, but after few moments music was playing and I tried to add sub, an the disapointment began….. I simply could not make it work, sub was added but i could not connect it to room to my beam, and every try it broke beam and whole the app. Tried it multiple times, it said something like successfull few times, but after that sub is not connected…. So I tried adding books

I’m trying to set up some outdoor speakers for a new patio that we are building. Thinking about putting 4 Klipsch speakers AW- 650 ( which would go under patio ceiling ( size of patio is 40 X25  )  and another 2 outdoor speakers on the ground ( the rock looking ones AWR-650-SM) ) for the other part of the backyard. Can all this be connected to 1 sonos amp or I need 2 separate ones? also how many speakers can each amp support? I already have sonos for inside of the house and have been using the for years. We love it! Thanks. 

Have a NetApp, trying to leverage it for NAS, I have disabled SMB1 and enabled SMB2/3 and I know that the username and password I am using is correct as I can connect from several machines to the share.These are the settings of the NAS server, I am not sure why sonos does not work, the audit log on the NetApp states authentication issue, but I know the credentials are correct.                     SMB1 Enabled: false                  Max Buffer Size for SMB1 Message: 65535                                      SMB2 Enabled: true                                      SMB3 Enabled: true                                    SMB3.1 Enabled: true 

I love my Sonos when it works, but it’s been a constant headache… The latest is that after listening at home, all of the content on the app is grayed out - playlists, artists, recently played. I can see it all, but can not select anything. Services do not show at all. I tried to add Apple Music back, but just get an error “something went wrong. Please try again.” I’ve reloaded the app, reset the app, logged out an in… Nothing. The only thing I can do is start or stop the music already played or last played.  I will add that I use the app for two systems, one at home (i am owner) and one at work, which I am not the owner. When I switch between the two I find the system on the current network and join it - this seems to be when this issue crops up. 

Why ‘Deutschlandfunk’ does NOT work anymore?Hi Sonos team. Hi Sonos community - I try to stream the radio channel ‘ Deutschlandfunk’. It was always available through the Sonos radio service. But lately I only can connect to Deutschlandfunk Nova or Deutschlandfunk Kultur (Green annd orange label) unfortunately not Deutschlandfunk (the blue label) anymore. Can you/ anybody help me please on this topic? Can you fix it, Sonos? 

HiRecently picked up a Ray and whilst it works on Spotify etc via the app, the sonos app says there is not connection between tv and speakers. Tried the light down wire and it works. Removed plastic caps etc. Only thing I can think of is if the port on the sonos is broken? Pic attached. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance
