I don’t get the same results in the Sonos app when searching Storytel compared to the same search in the native Storytel app. I have also seen similar results with Spotify. Something can be found in the native music service app, but not when searching for the same thing through the Sonos app.

E.g. I searched for an author in the Storytel app. I got 59 results. Searching for the same author in the Sonos app just gave me 38 results.

I can of course “cast” from the native app to my Sonos system and start playing it that way. But the queue functionality is very limited when doing it this way and it is not possible to queue multiple things in this manner.

Have you mentioned this to Storytel? All Sonos does is forward the request to the Storytel servers, and report back what information they receive in return.

It might be a time-out, a diagnostic immediately after your search and a call to Sonos could tell you where to look for a solution.

No, I have not. I dont know how that API looks like and I don't know how Sonos have implemented it. If they are serious about providing access to 3rd party services from within the Sonos app I think that Sonos should make sure it works.

See, that’s the thing.  Sonos doesn’t implement anything.  Storytel implements it, using the Sonos API.  It is wholly their responsibility and Sonos couldn’t fix it if they wanted to; they don’t have access to the code.   Which is why @Airgetlam told you to contact Storytel.  See here for details:
