Hi

So i got a new router yesterday and tried to set up my Sonos system again. But My playbar and sub wont connect. I can see both of Them in the app and when i try to set them Up it says preparing and then the message a problem occurd unplug and try again comes up.

I've tried to factory reset them both but that doesnt help. And tried to use a cable between Them and the router too but that doesnt work either. Im wondering if anyone has any ideas or could provide any help on how to proceed.

My 2 One SL installed without a hitch.

Can you share the model of your new router?

Did you connect the cable to the Playbar or the Sub? You should only hardwire the Playbar when using ethernet. The Sub has to pair directly to the Playbar, so that has to be setup first.


The model of the router is a ZTE mc888 pro

Yes i tried to connect the playbar with a cable, but it only Said "something went wrong, setup could not be completed, try again later" and tried atleast 5 times but all with same outcome


So i have it working now. Seems like the updated Sonos app got blocked by a VPN so when i turned that off i could set the system Up 👍🏻 but i need to have either the Sub or Playbar wired for which is something i didnt need to have before so thats a bit disappointing but something i can live with for the moment. Hopefully it will be fixed in a future update.
