Hi,  I am looking to upgrade my TV to match up with my Arc Ultra and I wanted to make sure there are no issues connecting these two together. 2024 Sony Bravia 8 and the Arc Ultra. plan is to use the E-Arc connection as I have done before so I really don’t expect an issue, but thought I’d ask before I spend the money on the TV

I haven’t seen any issues but you could do a web search to see what you can find.

eARC is eARC, no matter which company uses the standard. That’s the purpose of ‘standards’.

If only it was that simple, arc and hdmi-cec have standards, but it would be naive to say every device implementing them works together without issues. Same as Rs232 serial has a standard but how well companies implement the standards is the key thing.

Yeah and this is why I have the concern, dont expect an issue but just in case I’m trying to get ahead of it. I havent seen or heard of issues but then again both items are new products and I wasn’t sure

Thanks Stanley 4, I suppose my real guidance here will be that no real issues with the Sony brand and the Arc Gen1 in the past.

That is what I go by, while the ARC link may work some brands have internal issues with Sonos
