Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

i know i need 2 of the ones for surround..just want to connect 1 additional speaker for additional sound...i know i can select them both in app...but i want to turn on the tv and the power and the volume work both together ..

I have S1 controlled system, because of a ZP100 that I have, and several Sonos Ones. We want better streaming alternatives and I started to move to the S2 controller, but I can’t add the Sonos One. It wants to update the software but also attach to the Sonos One private network, which doesn’t have access to the internet to download the software and fails.Sequence of events:Place Sonos One in pairing with blinking light. S2 app sees the Sonos One and starts to add it. Allow microphone and location access S2 indicated, “...let’s connect your mobile device to you Sonos One’s temporary network...”  Connect to temporary network S2 app says there is an update available Click Update, S2 app goes to screen indicating that it is restarting the Sonos One. Sonos One does not restart or do anything except having the blinking green light. S2 app times out and goes back to step 2.I guess a couple questions are:Can it get to the software update while the Sonos One is on the temporary network? Should

Hello Sonos Community  Can you recommend a NAS that will work on S2. Ease of use, no drop out and a a decent app are my priority. I’ll be asking for set up hints as well soon. Ha ha thanks

Received a Sonos 1 from my brother as a birthday gift in April.I left it as I was tempted to sell it since I really don't use portable speakers when I use my Sony XM5 cans instead.Yesterday I said screw it and decided to open it and try it out but I cannot get this thing to connect!I put it on the base ring & the bottom LED on the speaker pulses orange for a short while then goes to a fast red LED pulse.I left it overnight thinking maybe it was a low battery issue but it was doing the same thing this morning.So I plugged it into a 45w USB C to charge for a while then back to the ring, same thing.My app does not see it and when I put the speaker on the ring while holding the infinity button to do a hard reset the white light on top just stays at a slow pulsing white, no white/orange alternating.Is this thing DOA out of the box? If so I think I might be done with SONOS...I have 8 SONOS speakers in the home but with the issues with the app and now this, come on.Anyone have any suggest

It has been raised and suggested by several users for many, many years yet Sonos does not seem to be receptive.It’s a huge paradox there is no central reboot feature in the app when reboot is the first and foremost default remedy suggested by Sonos support. I can’t think of any issue (and there are quite many) that hasn’t been responded to by Sonos: try to 1) reboot your Sonos system, 2) reboot your router. Whatever the problem, try a reboot and let us know if it didn’t work.The latter is easy, my FRITZ box interface has that feature. However for Sonos reboot I have to climb and crawle the entire house. Up to the ceilings, down on the floors, under furniture, behind shelves. Such a pain, such an annoyance every time.Ideally, in a perfect world it would be even better to make a system that actually works flawlessly but I’m afraid that is too much to ask for. I have a Play 1,3 & 5 (1st gen) They havent been used for a while so I thought I would set them back up.  I made an error thinking the 5 needed to be downgraded when in fact it was the 1 & 3. The online chat got me through this and now all three work in the same room. I tried to connect back to Amazon Music and Alexa. It lets me go through the initial screens via Services & Voice, but when I press 'Authorize' I can see the button react with the grey background on the button coming up but nothing else happens. I can add Sonos radio channels without problem.Can anyone please help?It would appear it won't connect to any external services at all

First time adding my 2- play1 to my surround sound (playbar). They will add to the surround sound but they drop off my WiFi. When they are not added to surround they work great on the wifi. Thanks

So i think there was an update this Monday 21/7-2025 which broke my very old connect:amp.I have an old bridge, old connect:amp and a newish Port as my network.On monday i find out that the network is dead. I remove the bridge as apparently i dont need that anymore, and connect the port and the connect:amp via ethernet cable instead.If i only have the Port connected, it works. If i add the connect:amp nothing works.I had been having internet issues since Monday too, so i downloaded a ping test program, and my internet kept dropping.If i turn off the connect:amp suddenly there is no issue with the internet.My conclusion: the connect:amp was stealing A LOT of bandwidth.Any help on this issue?

I have had Sonos products for many years, with around 15 speakers, new and old.  These include old Play 1, Play 3 and Play 5, along with more recent Beam, Sonos 1 and Sonos Sub, along with a Sonos Roam.  Whatever I do with Sonos 1 or Sonos 2 controllers on my iPhone and constantly resetting these, I cannot find any way to make the system work smoothly as it used to.  Sometimes speakers are not recognised, sometimes rooms cannot be added and also volume changes take forever to take place.  Why have Sonos made it so impossible to have a simple solution to manage a fully integrated system?

Hi All.  Can I use Sonos Ace headphones to connect via Bluetooth to an airplane's in-flight entertainment system?  Is it easy and how do I do this?  Many thanks.

Good Evening,I hope someone can advise. I have 2 x play 3 speakers and 2 x play 1 speakers.All were working perfectly . There was a recent software update and the play 1’s are fine. Since the update both my play 3 speakers are popping and crackling randomly at any volume and are very distorted. I have tried them separately and as a stereo pair. I have turned the bass and treble down and turned the loudness off. I have done a factory reset twice but to no avail. I have raised a case with Sonos diagnostics and they have said that it is a hardware fault if I have done a factory reset and it has not rectified the problem. I said that it is very strange that both speakers have failed at the very same moment in time with a hardware failure and he agreed but said that is what it is and offered the 15% upgrade. Any advice suggestions would be much appreciated. I love the speakers and don’t want to throw them away and buy new. Thanks

Recently purchased home, installing our existing speakers. Looking to mount Era 300s in the corners (Red circles). Ideally, I would like to mount in the corners of the wall. Do these speakers to angle downward towards couch, or can a level corner mount work? Considering optimal sound, what is the most suggested mounting route with this layout? Pairing with ARC and two subs.I'm hesitant to mount on the flat wall under crosswalk for power access reasons. Wife doesn't approve floor stands behind couch.**I will be installing elevated power outlets to hide visible power wires. 

My Sonos Move 2 that I recently bought, is not playing music via Airplay when used in Roon or when used in Airfoil. All my other speakers (Naim, Sennheiser Amber) are without issues. Is related to Move 2 firmware I suspect. 

I use to be able to manage the sound for my TV (Vizio) through firestick remote.  I notice recently that is no longer the case. Any suggestions? An upgrade by either vendor?

no response on Roam when pressing and holding power button. orange light is flashing but not connected to power. 

When trying to add a shared folder playlist to my Play3, having entered all the required path details and then touched the ADD button, it circulates but the process never completes. I have ensured the folder has all the necessary share permissions. 

A few days ago, my symfonisk remote stopped working and there is an alert in the ikea home smart 1 app that it cannot connect to my 2 symfonisk speakers. I have tried re-adding the speakers and cannot. They show up fine in the Sonos app. Unfortunately IKEA was not of much help, so I’m curious if anyone here has had this issue and been able to fix it. Thank you. 

Trying to downgrade a ZP90 to S1 (not compatible with S2).  Was on with phone support for over an hour, with various “reset the device, reset the router, reset your phone” steps over and over again, but every time I go to downgrade to S1, the S2 app does not see the device.   And the S1 app on my desktop computer (and my iPhone) tell me I have to control it via the S2 app.Anyone have a secret step I’m missing to allow the S2 app to actually see the ZP and downgrade it to S1?

I just bought a Sonos Arc Ultra with Sub gen 4 and 2 Era 300's, I connected the arc to my 5g network, then added the sub, and tested if it worked, I could stream music, no issues. Then I wanted to add the 300's but got the message that they can only be added to a 2G4 network, so I wanted to connect them to 2G4 (different SSID) and then got the message that they would be on a different network than the Arc.After everything finished, it said that the sub and the 300's were not registered (even though the sub shows up in the living room), but whatever I tried, all the time it says an update must be made but when I activate this it ends with an error 1001.So I decided to connect all to the 2G4 network, when I update the network all goes well, all is found and it says that my network is now added as trusted network, but then when all is finished and I get to the main screen of the app again, it says there is nothing connected to my network, I restarted everything but same thing, I tried thi

I select a folder with some 24 tracks in it.  The folder is on a Network Attached Storage (NAS) device I have my music on.  I start to play them.  All goes well.  I select shuffle and repeat (not repeat 1).  I expect the 24 tracks to be played indefinitely or until I stop to play.  This is within the Sonos app running on an iPad.  The app stops playing the tracks after some seemingly random amount of time and tracks, frankly I am not even sure, I have not checked it yet, if it plays all the 24 tracks at least once before stopping.  When it stops, the queue points to a track in a middle of the list.  I can press play and the app will restart playing the tracks but it will stop again sometime later.    To sum up, no other apps or services are involved, only the Sonos app and a folder on a NAS device.Please help.  What can I possibly be missing here?  This, to me, is a very basic function.

I can’t find the TruePlay option for my Sonos Arc when on my “Living Room” page on the new app, where I have an Arc (gen 1), Sub (gen 2), and 2 Sonos One SL’s as Surrounds. This is the same on my iPhone 15 Pro, my iPhone 11 Pro, and my iPad Pro OLED. Any ideas?

I’m trying to add a speaker has disappeared off my system (but that’s for another topic when I’ve got it sorted) I hit the + To add speaker or component and it says “sign in as the system owner” but I am already signed in.

Every time I accidentally clean or touch the top of the Sonos Era 300, which I have as rear speakers, an orange light flashes and they are deactivated. For them to work again I have to unplug them and plug them back in. It's very annoying Is there any solution? Thank you

Hi all, anyone else hear have some Sonos Ace headphones and can test this for me? I have two Sonos Ace headphones (wife and I) and they both do it. They’re both brand new. Sonos have told me they’re both faulty and to return them both but I’m thinking it’s more of a widespread QC issue. Put volume low or even off, and test with both ANC on and also in Aware mode and get some cutlery and drop the cutlery into the cutlery draw so it lands on other cutlery. This noise seems to make the headphones make a loud crackling static noise. It’s not just with cutlery, it’s lots of other loud metal or clicking noises. It’s like the ANC can’t handle it. This is definitely a fault with the ANC on these headphones and needs to be fixed.the noise does not occur when audio mode is OFF, only ANC on and Aware.
