As reported here:apple music recently played not showing on apple music app after using sonos Apple Music updates to Recently Played in the Sonos App remains an unreliable mess.  Has there been any progress on this matter? 

Hello Everyone,New to the forum and I have some issues that some tech guys like me might be able to help with.I'm the Network Administrator for a small junior college. Our athletics program recently purchased to two Era 300 speakers. I am struggling to keep them connected to our WLAN/SSID and using the app to be able to communicate with them.I want to ensure that its not the networking side that the issue.My question: anyone else on here who uses a Cisco 9800 WLC that would be willing to share there configuration of their WLAN/Policy/RF tags?I've looked over the documentation on Sonos support website and it does not seem like they need anything special compared to other IOT devices. Thank for any help in advance!

After many months of frustration periodically trying to restore S2 controller access to my local Apple Music library and collection of FLAC on a (wired) external drive, I finally got both working about a month ago. What a relief...But, sometime in recent weeks (maybe days) both stopped working. I’m getting all the old error messages about Sonos not having access. I don’t think this corresponds to a MacOS update (currently Sequoia 15.7.1) or a Sonos Controller update (currently 17.2 build 9006717), but I’m not sure.I really don’t want to restart the process of trying to reconnect these music libraries. It seemed very flakey no matter what instructions I followed. I’m hoping someone knows of a specific potential cause for this, so I can resolve it with minimal trial and error.P.S. I have finally hit the end of my rope with Sonos Connect. The whole system was about to go down the chute when someone said, “No! Wait! The Sonos Amp is what you really need for your turntable!” (OK he said “...need for your vinyls” but, you know...)That’s a lot of scratch when I already have a phono amp. So I was looking at the Sonos Port.Which is also a lot of scratch.And is black - when all my other Sonos gear is white.But my real question is:Is the Port indeed materially better than the Connect?  It’s expensive - how soon before the next generation improvement is released?

Hi everyone,I'm trying to set up two Symfonisk speakers as surrounds for my Sonos Beam (Gen 2), but the app won’t let me complete the setup.Both speakers are visible in the Sonos app and work fine individually. When I try to add them as surrounds, it's working but after i have in the app for Symfonisk surrounds Not connected statusAny idea what could cause that?Thanks for the help!

How many external devices (i.e. LP player and CD Player) can I connect to a Sonos Amp or Port? Can I connect both to one device and if so whioch one do I need?

I’m trying to play music from Spotify in ‘Lossless’ quality on my Sonos Amp via Spotify Connect, but the option doesn’t appear. In the Spotify app, it shows (for the Sonos Amp): "This device currently supports streaming qualities up to 'Very high'." "This device is not compatible with lossless audio quality. To listen in lossless, try changing your device." I’ve tried connecting via both mobile and desktop (Mac) Spotify apps and have already followed Spotify’s official “Listen in lossless” steps (https://support.spotify.com/uk/article/spotify-connect/).Has anyone successfully played Spotify Lossless on a Sonos Amp via Spotify Connect, or is this a known limitation? Hi all.  Gen1 play5, play 1 and a bridge.2 weeks ago Sonos S1 cannot connect to system.  Full reset to everything.Still would not find Bridge (always had ethernet cable to bridge).Will find play 5 when I connect play5 to ethernet cable.  Also then sees play 1 but not bridge.Happy to play music at this point.App then falls over when we move to wifi connection.Any ideas? Have Sonos decided 10years is enough and they want more£?

Hello guys, I am very sorry for this topic i am a first time sonos user and it is been asked many many times but i hope there is a solution that is so easy that i can understand. Other users on our wifi network can open the sonos app and look for devices and can control everything.I dont like that and i dont want that because it is a student house and i think,no i know they are gonne play with it on moments i dont like. I have read that I can do it with a seperate router, so i have to connect the amp to that router.        Do I have to put the live internet cable in the wan or lan port of that router and wont i get problems with the other internet system and routers because of ip or subnet settings?                                       I Dont have acces to the provider router thats the main wifi and cabled internet.And does have the amp acces to the network to play spotify.(because when it is in that network it is detectable o

As deep as I dive in Sonos world, more issues I’m finding. I hope this one is just a settings mistake or a SW easy-to-solve topic. Although reading some posts from 2 years ago, I’m really scared.Since I started to use SVC a couple of days ago, (to skip the missing of control with the phone locked), I’ve figured out that the mic turns off randomly so, when you try to speak with Esposito, there is nobody there.I’ve read the manual trying to find what I am doing wrong. Then, I reinstall the SVC in Arc thinking it could solve it. But the result is still the same, the mic switches off constantly. But I can’t believe a hardware issue is not fixed 2 years before…. I have an Arc Ultra sound bar and I'm thinking about In-wall speakers for the rear. I have power available, so can I go without the amp and just connect them to my Arc Ultra through WiFi?

HelloIs there any way of streaming music directly from my phone to Sonos Amp?I've looked at:a usb c to RCA cable with DAC from my phone to the Ampa usb c to DAC and then from DAC to AmpAnd a Bluetooth receiver to RCA plugged into the Amp Not sure which one will give me the best results and whether they'd work.Any thoughts and help appreciated.Thanks 

Our speaker (Sonos S18) stopped working So we did a factory reset and it still didn’t do anything.  I reconnected it to the Sonos app and it shows in the app.The speaker has  been unplugged for almost 2 weeks when we plugged it in, the white light is on, but we do not get any sound or any response from it.  

I am trying to do an outdoor set up for a projector. The equipment id like to use is:projectorscreenroku stickMove2 x 2Roam2 x 2 i cannot get the projector or Roku to connect to Sonos system. I purchased the amp, thinking that would solve the problem, alone with an hdmi audio extractor, but the audio still played through the projector.  Any tips??  

I’m having a super frustrating issue with my Era 300s stereo paired to a Sub Mini. Every time I AirPlay from my phone, I get the spinning wheel followed by an “Unable to connect to [room]” error. If I tap the speaker again, it connects instantly and after that, it reconnects fine until the next day when the problem repeats. Here’s what I’ve tried with no lasting fix:Rebooting my phone, router, and modem Hard resetting the speakers and the app Swapping routers (ISP issued router > Linksys Velop > Eero Pro 6E) Setting DHCP reservations Calling Sonos support (they just suggested another reset) The weird part is no other AirPlay 2 devices on my network have this problem (HomePods, Apple TVs, LG TV, JBL soundbar) and it’s not isolated to my phone either because I can reproduce this issue on all iOS and macOS devices in the house. It’s not the end of the world, but waiting 20–30 seconds e

Hi there,Just acquired a SONOS ACE. Great so far. Except when I tried to connect it to my TV settings. I have a Samsung the Frame 2022. Apparently my new ACE isn’t compatible with my “old” 2014 PlayBar... Very sad. But worth, I don’t see how to connect ACE directly to my recent TV The Frame… anyone knows how to solve that?

Hello, I’ve had Symfonisk and Play:1 in my system without major issues, but after connecting a Playbase this weekend, it’s only been misery. I bought it knowing it would have issues with the wifi-card based on the know issues (and the seller said he issues connecting with it), but thought cabling it should work. But even connected with ethernet and optical from my tv, it’s been wreaking havoc with the already connected speakers in the app. Its unstable both on its own and making the app crash, sometimes it connects, othertimes not, cutting in and out. Tried disabling the wifi, but then it stopped connecting at all and I had to reset it. Trueplay makes the app crash and the Playbase unavailable. I’ve tried over and over again, resetting it and adding it again, but it just won’t work properly.  Now I’ve unplugged it and added the other speakers again, so the app and the other speakers work fine again. Is this a known issue? Just bought a ERA300 and set it up an hour ago. Usually I listen to music from Spotify but I also have made a few playlist with own produced music, imported to my iPhone as mp3 files. I create a playlist in Spotify on my computer with these files and when I connect my iPhone to the computer it synchronizes the iPhone with the changes I made, the playlist with local files pops up in the iPhone as well. But now I have tried both the “normal” way to listen to these local files from the iPhone via ERA300 connected to WIFI which not worked, and I did not expect it to work either.Then I pushed the small “bluetooth connect” button on the back of ERA300 and connected my iPhone via bluetooth. It still refused to play my mp3 files, when I click on them in Spotify on my iPhone absolutely nothing happens. My thoughts on this is that maybe the WIFI still is connected to ERA300, and this might be the reason that it does not work? I have a surround sound system.  Every day, although music still plays the system disappears form the app and I go through the network update routine.  This is getting so regular that it is more than a nuisance.  Does anyone know how to fix this?  Thanks.

I have an issue with Sonos skipping ONLY when playing songs from my digital music library.I am at my wits end and ready to scrap Sonos after a year of frustration and troubleshooting.Until last fall, my home library (80 GB of mp3s) played just fine. Suddenly (sometime between October and November 2024), songs would play about 1/3 to 1/2 of the way through and then skip to the next, sometimes it would play just a few seconds. Sometimes it just stops playing altogether. It will be fine for a few songs and then all of a sudden start skipping. It seems to get worse, skipping sooner and more often (until I get annoyed and turn it off). It ONLY affects playing songs from my iTunes music library. There have been no other issues with any other service, including Sonos Radio, Amazon, Spotify; they all play just fine.My system includes 2 x Play:5, 2 x Play:3, Play:1, Sonos Move. I removed the Sonos Bridge during troubleshooting.I have Sonos S1 Controller installed
