Every few weeks my Sonos move needs a factory reset for it to work. It’s very annoying having to wait to reset it every time I want to use it. It stays on the charger when I’m not using it

Factory resets are not advised.  What problems are you having with the Move?  My two Moves stay on the chargers as well.  They also stay connected to the network.

The unit constantly becomes unresponsive. No buttons like up when I try to turn it on or off. If I take it off the charger and put it back on the orange light comes on the bottom but that’s it. It won’t show up in my app or let me connect to it without a full reset.

After you return the dead unit to the charging ring, how long do you wait before attempting to use the unit? Immediately after you restart the unit what is the indicated battery charge level? It may be possible that the battery charge contacts are intermittent and the battery runs down. Removing and replacing the unit on the charger might restore conductivity. The unit might come back online if allowed to charge for a while.

I suggest that you submit three diagnostics. First, just before you remove the unit from the charging ring,  immediately after resetting and adding the unit back into the system, then again after the unit has been charging for a couple hours or more. Finally, call SONOS support and discuss the issue.
