Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hello!I'm trying again to get some help here in the forum and solve an ‘age-old’ problem.I have PLEX installed on my Synology 718+ (16 GB).The home network is connected to the internet at 1 Gbit (FRITZ!box 5530 fiber).PLEX plays without any problems:On the home network, also via SONOS (PLEX service) In the car with my mobile phone via the Plexamp app In the office with my mobile phone via the Plexamp app (Wi-Fi) In the office with my laptop using the web application.PLEX does not play outside the home network via SONOS.All content is displayed. When trying to play individual songs or albums, the following happens:First, the circle on the right spins for a relatively long time Then the message ‘SONG’ could not be played appears. The connection to Plex has been lost. This repeats for each selected song.It doesn't matter whether I play FLAC or MP3.I contacted SONOS Support. A support technician even looked at it via remote maintenance. No solution in sight.What could be the reason for thi

Guys, the compilation albums in my music library still show up as individual tracks in the iOS app - this means I can’t select & listen to these albums.My FLACs are all tagged properly, and compilation albums worked perfectly before the release of the ‘updated’ app last year.My music is all in one folder, so I can’t use folders as a workaround, either.Everything’s up to date.Is this still a known issue, and if so, when can we expect a fix, please?

I am trying to reauthorize my Apple Music subscription on my S1 App, as I’ve done many times in the past. When it wouldn’t re-authorize, I followed what a previous discussion said to remove it and re-add it. That isn’t working, what comes up is: “We’ve run into a problem. Try again. “Which I did and same thing came up.Looking for help, I have an old bridge and connect amp that can only live on S1.  Looking for help

I am interested in Sonos sequencer. What’s the verdict? Yes? Or no?

Trying to connect Roam to WiFi while we’re away. After going into the initial set up it says ‘No products found for (name of WiFi)’ which is fine, so I go into system settings but all I’m getting is this, (see picture)If I choose select your product I have to log in which I already am. If I go into switch system and then set up new system it searches constantly for the Roam but doesn’t find it. Currently using it as a Bluetooth speaker which isn’t ideal. 

Trying to change the network settings on my Sonos Arc Ultra system. Have tried via iPhone and iPad; seems like the update times out and various stages of the process and I get the dreaded “Something went wrong” message.  I’ve tried via phone and iPad, disabled the 5ghz broadcast on the router, and plugging the sub into ethernet (not into router). I’ve also validated the Sonos app is up to date, as well as tried forgetting and re-logging into the wireless network. No luck.Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hello, I haven’t had any issues with PS5 or the Nintendo Switch 1. Both will reproduce well the 5.1 system that I have (Sonos Arc+2xSonos One SL + Sub (gen4th)). But the Nintendo Switch 2 is unable to reproduce 5.1, it says it can’t detect the PCM 5.1. I haven’t don’t anything different than the other consoles that I have. What can I Do?

Hi.My current setup is now BEAM, a pair of ONE as front surrounds and have just added a pair of ONE into the ceiling as stereo pair as rear speakers.Issue I have now is that when I use the app to control the volume I have set the balance to 60% at the front and 40% to the rear and when I use the sliders they all move proportionally. When I use the TV remove it only changes the volume at the front and the rear speaker volume on the sliders stay the same.Also, the LH and RH rear speakers on the sliders are slight different and I cannot line them up to be the same. I have counteracted this by putting more balance to the right but should not have to.Appreciate any assistance.j_ace7

I’m playing a few movies via Infuse Pro on my Apple TV, but for some reason (and only recently) when Dolby Atmos is enabled, I’m getting all of the speech (from I assume the centre channel) coming through the rear speakers. I’ve put my head to my Arc soundbar and can’t hear anything. It’s all coming from the rears. Must i change the network on all my sonos products individually?  I upgraded to netgear ORBY Wifi 7.  Which is now a new network.  I am hoping to easily change all my sonos products at one time to the new ORBI network. 

Wtf is up with Sonos? Yeah there sound system is decent at best but you can’t f***ing play Apple Music without signing in to your own f***ing account 17 f***ing times. What the f*** is going on you stupid motherf***ers. Figure it the f*** out you incompetent POS. Hi.i have 2 play 5's gen 2 with an ark and sub gen 2. i want to purchase the sub gen 4. Is the sub compatible with the play 5's gen 2 ?

My wife and I both control the same system using the Sonos App on our iPhones.Most of our music lives on a network attached disk - and appears as a Sonos Music Library.  We often select albums from the ‘recently played’ list on the app. Until about a month ago we had no problems.  But now, items on the Recently Played list that were created by my wife are broken if I select them from my phone.  I get a grey icon instead of album art, and a message saying “Content Unavailable”.   The opposite happens when my wife selects something that I played last.This renders the ‘Recently Played’ list completely useless.  50% of the entries cause errors and you can’t tell which.  It’s like a bad version of Russian Roulette.  I have tried clearing the list, rescanning my music library, restarting the app, power cycling everyhing.  Still broken. Does this happen for other people?   Is there any fix?

I have an approximately 8-year-old Sonos Amp - CONNECT AMP.  We turned it on and it failed to work - no sound from the speakers.  The unit was working fine when we turned it off.  There have been no changes to the system since we used it last.  The light on the front of the unit, which was formally green, is now white/light pink in color.  I have a second Sonos Amp (same model) located directly below it that still works fine and the light is green.  Any ideas on how to fix the non-working amp?  Thank you.

Just installed latest app on android and am unable to find tone controls, I keep reading 'navigate to settings-system-product' but there is no 'system' option in settings 

I am still running my old Sonos system with the S1 controller v 11.15.4. Have recently been given an old play 5, but cannot add it to the system because the add product is greyed out. Keeps asking me to update, but obviously my system wouldn’t work with an S2 controller. Have reset the play 5, have plugged it directly into the router, but no joy. Is there any workround I can use?

I'm still using my dear, dear Playbar with two play:3's and a Sub gen3.Om my old TV, I had to use an Nvidia Shield to get surround sound on most streaming apps, at the expense of all kinds of sync issues. A few months ago it died and I upgraded my TV (Sony).Fortunately most native streaming apps on the new TV (HBO, Netflix and Disney+) are streaming in glorious 5.1. However, I just found out Amazon Prime Video is stuck on Dolby 2.0. All the movies I purchased digitally on Amazon refuse to output surround.I know the Playbar is ancient by now, and I fear the optical connection is the issue? But since other streaming apps do work on 5.1, I don't understand why Prime Video isn't? Any information is appreciated!I really dread having to upgrade my soundbar to eArc. Because I'm not sure if it would solve anything, but mostly because it would require new surround speakers as well (the Ultra is not compatible with the Play:3's).

I have several music apps all of them work fine with Sonos except Amazon music. It works fine for a minute or two and indifferent speakers keep shutting down and then popping back on. Does anybody have a solution?

This system is great when it works, but only when it works.  About 40% of the time it says that it is having issues with connecting to the speakers, the port, the server, or to the streaming service.  I know it’s not the internet connection, I work from home and it always works fine for me, wife streams TV, etc.  It’s never a problem except for with this product.   I’m still (mostly) able to airdrop music to the sonos products if it has elected to be awful that day, but it fights internally with which music it’s trying to play, what the volume is set at, whether the app lets me actually control that music, etc.  Really rage inducing stuff here.  Usually after a couple of hours of this circus, it decides that yes, the network is fine, and yes, we can play music today.  At this point when it starts being awful, I just switch to vinyl because I know that actually works, and then the app seems to be just fine the next day. I know there were some app-related issues that happened in 2024, I

Center bar plugged into TV. Wireless base & rear speakers. Is there a way to balance rear speakers when just listening to music? TV off

I had everything working on the app but must have changed a setting. Now the satellite speaker is showing at the top of the list and the Beam gen 2 is showing below. Both will no longer play content - any help?

I am finishing my basement which will have a gym and a rec room.  i have purchased 8 8” in ceiiling speakers and 4 amps.  I plan to have 2 amps in a closet next to the rec room and 2 amps in the gym.  I plan to have 4 speakers in the rec room and 4 speakers in the gym.  The gym will have an ARC capable TV.How should I run the wires?Should I set all the speakers to mono?Any other equipment is recommended?
