Airfoil / Move 2 issues *UPDATE April 2026*

There was an existing thread for this open issue but I cannot add to because its been closed as “answered”  (??) - found here:

 

The good news is that the developers of Airfoil reached out to me to inform me that the latest Sonos update has finally fixed the issue.  I updated by Move2 via the iPhone Sonos app to 84.00.34 and tested the Move2 from Airfoil - Im happy to report it is now working and stable for me.

So looks like as suspected, it was a Sonos software issue all along.

JMO…

As the thread quoted is a year old who’s to say that a Sonos update broke the Airfoil code which may have needed to be adjusted to work with Sonos?

The recent Sonos update may have been a coincidence with something that Airfoil did with its code to make things work.

As I said in the beginning…it’s JMO.
