Future Sonos Amp Gen 3

I have a Full Sonos Setup in my home theater. Sonos sub4 x2, Sonos era 300 x2, Sonos Arc Ultra. I have bought two 8inch in ceiling Sonos speakers I will add and need a new amp. Unfortunately, the existing Sonos Amp Gen 2 will not allow me to integrate these new speakers into my Dolby Atmos system. I am waiting on the new Sonos Amp gen 3 to hopefully allow me to integrate these in ceiling speakers into my Atmos system. Really looking for a theater like system. Any potential for this with Amp gen 3?

So far, other than requests like yours, there have been no indications or leaks suggesting such a thing.

Regarding your issue…

Integrating ceiling speakers or any Sonos speaker(s) not part of your current setup is vague as you are phrasing your request.

The best you can hope for with any Sonos Amp is to Group the ceiling speakers with your current setup for music. Doing the same with TV audio will result in a 75ms delay to the ceiling speakers causing an echo.

Just curious…

Where did you get the idea that there is a Sonos Amp Gen 3 on the horizon?

Also, why not use the current Sonos Amp to drive the ceiling speakers?

From now, Sonos does not support the addition of extra speakers to your system which is their “Ultimate” system for Dolby Atmos audio.

You can group the Amp and ceiling speakers with your home theater, but there will be a 75ms delay when watching TV in that configuration.
