Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

I am trying to setup a sonos S1 which has been upgraded with S2 software.Sonos one has flashing green led - and app finds device Sonos one makes noise for PIN and app finds device.  I am unable to connect device to router either by wifi or directly with ethernet cable i have checked phone/device on same network I have tried using WPA2 or (WPA+WPA2_ options on router - although direct connection should make this irrelevent I have rebooted sonos one and router many times all other devices in house connect to wifi without issues I have separate 5G and 24G wifi’s - I have tried both.Any help appreciated.Oh  PS… I do not have ‘update network’ option visible in the sonos app...

Got a sub gen 4 as a gift.  I have a Playbar (2018) and 2no Play ones set up as stereo set up. sub is compatible with the One’s but not playbar. There’s nothing wrong with the playbar and don’t really want to change it.  any recommendations on how to get the sub to work with the current setup.  I’ve tried grouping already. 

The other day one of my Era 300's started doing the strangest thing, beeping randomly and status light flashing all different colours. So just turned it off. Just reset it and selected the room where my Arc and other Era 300 and sub is but it just sets up the Lounge 2 and doesn't add the speaker to Lounge.I tried to change the room but then end up with 2 rooms called Lounge. Unable to connect stereo pair as it says no other speaker available. Hoping someone can help, surely this is a simple thing to fix, just can't seem to work it out. Thanks

I am having a problem with my Ace Headphones to connecting properly with my new PC.  They cut out and can’t keep a connection.  I have updated all of the drivers on the PC and have uninstalled the Ace from the PC.  Even did a factory reset on the headphones.  These work perfectly on both my MacBooks and my iPhone.  I am new to PC … but Sonos headphones should work with Windows, right? Can someone help a Mac guy with a PC problem?

There are a number of similar issues reported - and answered, so I can’t add my twopenn’orth, so here it is.I have large Sonos system and an extensive music library on a Synnas DS920+ with Plex. It has proved troublesome, and after moving from BT to EE, replacing the router, became more so. Playing became more intermittent, with ‘The connection to Plex was lost’ randomly appearing. One day suddenly it ceased to function alltogether and I raised case 06921049 with support (I haven’t managed to get back to support to tell them what the solution is yet). Hello,while reading about the possibility to connect speakers to a video projector (via the HDMI of a computer), I understood that a built-in delay in the Sonos system would result in a gap between image and audio (about 70ms). I have 2 questions :Would adjusting the synchronisation video/audio in VLC by 70ms solve the problem ; basically delaying the video by the same 70ms ? That issue affects only the speakers 100, 300 and Five, or is  it the same with the Arc ?thank you very much for your inputSébastien

I’m very confused!!! I have a Sonos arc connected to my lg HDMIearc port, now for example I have premium subscription to Netflix which should allow me to listen with Dolby Atmos but it doesn’t and none of the films that should be available in Dolby Atmos display Dolby Atmos, they just show 4k and HDR, can anyone help me with my dilemma

The Bean 2 comes with a HDMI cable from factory. Can I use an 8K high speed cable instead knowing the quality has to be better?

Just purchased Starlink Gen 3 and my Sonos (Player 1) will not connect (cannot be detected).  I am not tech savvy and I am looking for help with an explanation in non tech language if possible.  I have used TP-link router prior to Starlink for my other internet service.  Can my Sonos system be “found” using Starlink network somehow?  Thank you for any help, step by step is best.

When opening Sonos App, it stays grey (15 mins), unable to navigate to playlists.

I own a number of Play 5 Gen 1, Play 3, Play 1, Sub and Playbar. These are perfectly working qood products, that I have full intention to continue using with Sonos S1. I would like to share with the community how I manage to factory reset each unit and reconfigure them back, since the standard procedure didn’t work and Sonos S1 app couldn’t find them on the network. Looking through various resources on the Internet the general conclusion was that each and every unit I have are faulty and only good for recycling, which couldn’t be true. And I have prooved if.  To factory reset the unit make sure the unit is the only Sonos device on the network, connect it with Cat5 cable directly to the router. Make sure all other Sonos devices are be powered down.    Do the factory reset sequence (keep mute and volume up buttons pressed on powering up and keep them pressed for 60 sec). It has succeeded for each unit for me. Had the blinking green at the end.

Hi all.I am running a Jellyfin server with DLNA plugins installed and running for my home audio content. I the Jellyfin server correctly identifies all 7 of my Sonos products, yet my Sonos S2 app doesn’t ‘see’ anything from Jellyfin at all.It is my understanding that there used to be some UPNP and DLNA on and off switch somewhere within the app - that I cannot find on my latest android Sonos app.Can somebody please tell me where this is?!

Hi everyone, so today I noticed that my whole setup was stuck at 15 in volume. What I mean is that every time I turned the volume up or down, it would change on its own and go back to 15. After resetting, unpairing, etc., I found out that one of my Era 100s was causing the issue. It’s also started to sound very bad, like only the treble is working. Has anyone had a similar experience? What did you do, and do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi,I have a question I have a Sonos Arc in the living room and a Sonos Beam in another room; now the first one is showed in my router with ip address but the second (Beam) is not showed.The soundbar it seems to work but, even rebooting the router, it is not showing in the router address table.Can you please advise why this happens?Thank you

I have 8 Sonos Era 100s throughout my home which randomly start playing music at times. What can I look at to determine the cause? 

Launched Sonos, and got the second error message. Checked my Firewall settings and got the first picture results. Any suggestions?   

My wife and I both have Apple phones. We can’t seem to both be logged into the Sonos app to control the system— I was logged in, but she wasn’t, and when she logged in and connected to the system, then I couldn’t get in anymore. We’re both logged in through the same email and password. Is this a common problem? Is there a solution?

I have a Sonos Beam Gen.2 hooked to an LG TV and I use an nVidia TV Shield Pro for streaming. Everything works perfectly when I’m watching regular TV or playing on the Playstation 5. I can see in the Sonos mobile app various TV channels operating in Dolby Digital 2.0 or Dolby Digital 5.1. On the PS5 the sound is DTS Surround 5.1. Both TV and Playstation sound work flawlessly. The problem starts when I watch Netflix, Prime Video or Plex from the nVidia TV Shield. Occasionally, about once or twice per hour, the sound just stops working out of the blue while the video keeps running. The temporary fix I found is to cycle the sound output of the TV back to internal TV speakers, then after 1 sec of sound on speakers, the TV switches automatically back to Audio Out (Optical/HDMI ARC)

If i have a splitter earc and arc i can have a home cinema from sonos with tower speakers.Dual subs and eras 300 and arc ultra, but with the sonos amp i can have towers programed in front home cinema? or i need to create a home thetaer in the app with era 300 as back speakers surround and amp with towers fronts? 

I have been using ROAM. I haven't used it for a while, but when I tried to connect to bluetooth I couldn't.I have reset the roam to factory settings and initialized the apps, but I can't connect to Wi-Fi before I set it up. How can I get it to work?

The current App is just terrible.  Clearly put together by a bunch of incompetents, managed and led by people who are simply not up to the job.  The top person needs to be sacked, and then a clear out of most other employees.In the meantime, customers need to be heavily compensated.  $2000 per customer to start off with.Sonos investors: this company is once again sinking. I don't think it is going to bounce up again. I'd get in the liferafts whilst you can.

When I try to select a Spotify playlist, my alarm is not updated. The selected music stays the same.

A red light AT the bottom of the roam 2 when i start UP , and i have to press many Times the power button to start UP .
