Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Got the Sonos Ace when it came out. Was able to connect fine to my Arc and eventually my two Beams (Gen 1) in various rooms when they updated the software. Haven’t used my headset in a while and just tried TV Swap and it won’t work. Every time I press the connect button and it makes the searching tone, it just plays a thud sound and reconnects to Bluetooth. I updated to the most recent software. I factory reset the headphones and added them back to my account. Still no luck. Anyone else having this issue and know a fix?   Continue to be disappointed with the new and improved Sonos. Had their system for over a decade and it was simply bulletproof. For the last year it’s been nothing but connection and software issues all the time. Amazing they could screw up such a good thing.

I was blown away by the Atmos sound when playing some movies on Netflix. I decided to also turn on Dolby Atmos on my PS5. Unfortunately, since then whenever I use the console and then go back to use any TV App like Netflix or HBO the sound stutters for a second every minute or so. The only way to bring it back is to unplug all HDMI devices, turn off TV for a minute and same for Arc Ultra. What happens and how can I prevent that?Desirable solution:I want to use both TV apps and PS5 without any issues, still using Dolby Atmos on PS5 and also in my movies.

Since the May app upgrade I have almost abandoned my Sonos system . Th Sonos 1 app only sees 1 of my 5 units.  I have Sonos 2 app installed on another computer in my upstairs office and that sees 2 other units, but not the one seen by the Sonos1 app. I contacted support and then spent a long time rushing up and down stairs turning things off and on, all to no avail. Is there now a fix or is all this kit destined for the skip?I have 2 x Play 1’s as a pair in one room, 2 other Play 1’s in 2 different rooms and 1 Play 3 in another room.

When connecting the headphones to the TV will the TV still play through my other Sonos speakers? My wife is hard of hearing and want to her use the headphones while we are both watching TV

Sonos arc works thru the app when I play music but when I switch to TV it doesn’t play.  Just started happening.  I was able hear Sonos both thrust and music app via Sonos now nothing on the tv. 

Hello!I’m moving into a new place that has wired speakers throughout the house. The wall plate has a 3.5mm input that uses cat5 to a panel in the basement. The speakers then go from the panel to the rest of the house. The amp has the speaker connectors to output to the speakers but I can’t do that. So my question is, Can I use a 3.5mm to speaker wire adapter? Or can I go from speaker wire to RCA to 3.5mm jack?Thanks everyone!

Hi All, My Sonos system (Arc, Sub, 2x300’s) works perfectly. No issues there. I can log in to the app, again, no problem. However...I also have a pair of Ace headphones and while they are connected to the App, I cannot enable the handover feature from the Arc because it ask me to log in again (I am logged in!) and this is just a repeating cycle that never gets to the next step. So...given the issues a lot of folks have had, I am loathe to delete the App and try to start over to fix this. Is there a fix where I do not have to reset/delete?  Cheers! 

I am just about ready to give up on Sonos! I have configured a whole house system if you will with Sonos speakers in almost every room of the house including the downstairs but I never know if they are all going to work or just some of them and occasionally none of them. Not a complicated or fancy setup but ever since changing to the new app several months ago, the problems began. The latest issue is that the only service that will come on and stay on is the Sonos Music service. Amazon Prime, Apple Music, Pandora and Sirius XM all have the intermittent service problem and I want to have other services available consistently! I do call Sonos support and spend a couple of hours troubleshooting, get it working for a few days and then, back to problems! Maybe this is just a rant but surely Sonos can do better! I have been using it successfully since 2015 until the last few months with very little problem so I know Sonos can do it. 

I have a controller on my iMac from the original Sonos 1 System. Does that system still work? I ask because it seems to be blocked and when I try to connect to my existing system (with 5 speakers) it can’t find them.PS. the controller on my iPhone continues to work fine.  So - should the controller on my iMac continue to work?  

Will the Arc soundbar link to my Sonos play:5.  For example if I were to purchase the Arc sound bar could I use my play:5 as surround sound.  Would they link together?

Ever since the Sonos updates mess with everything my Sonos Port just stops working.  Everyday I have to unplug and plug it in to get it working.  This device feeds my whole house distribution system so it been a pain.Has anyone heard if there is a date when Sonos is going to get its act together and fix this mess.  Don’t understand why they just don’t pull the new mess down and put the old app back until they can get it right.very frustrating 

I have a somewhat old Amp that seems to have died a few days ago. I was listening to it one evening, and clicked the play / pause button to turn it off. The next day, it was dark and wouldn’t power up or connect. I reset it with the button on the back, and the light will come on and blink white for a while, which is encouraging at first. But then it goes dark. And if you press the play / pause button it will blink red three times, then go dark again.I suspect it is a brick. Looking around the internet, it looks like sonos does not do out of warranty repairs? Just trying to figure out my options here.

I had to completely hard reset my sonos ecosystem install it again to find out.Airplay 2 is still not connectingWhen connected all devices stutter like there is no tomorrow.Please Sonos your helpdesk is 25 minutes waiting for service employee.And they all act like it’s a new problem it’s not.Update firmware find better connectivity in the soft and hardware and end this BSI’m completely busy whole day to achieve listening to stutter or connection failluers.Call Apple and work on a solution otherwise i will never buy your system again.It’s 2025 almost i mean come on. Horrible stuttering not connecting lagging system. 

I have been a KPIG listener for 15-20 years. Many know that KPIG was one of the very first streaming radio stations out of Santa Cruz.I have been a Sonos owner for 10 years. KPIG has always been wonderful. However, listening to KPIG is a challenge with the new updated Sonos App, combined with TuneIn radio requiring a subscription fee to listen to KPIG has made it difficult to listen to KPIG via Sonos. As it is at this moment, I have: Sonos on my MacBook with Sonos player v 16.4.2 And have the updated TuneIn Player on my MacBook. YES I can play KPIG from my computer. However I cannot initiate KPIG from my iPhone Sonos App. This is the Black Sonos App. It shows up in my favorites on my iPhone but I have to initiate it from the MacBook. I cannot

The system stops playing every kind of music that I chose. After a few seconds it restarts playing. This happens about every 5 to 10 minutes. I can’t find any problems at my provider, so it looks that Sonos is the problem. Thus anyone now how to correct this problem. It happens sinds the last week.

Hello. My sonos play 1 speaker is not connecting to my computer. This is odd, because it randomly disconnected. I tried resetting and rebooting it, but nothing worked. It would be great if I could hear about a way to fix it. Thank you.

I do realise that there is a chapter listing on the new Sonos app for my Audible books. However currently they seem to be non-functioning as when you tap the play button next to each chapter, the speaker just simply plays the audiobook where it left off or just keeps randomly changing from chapter to chapter without any real playback on the speaker.  It would be great to get the chapter list playback up so that one doesn’t have to click the next button like 25 times just to get to chapter 26 from say chapter 1. 

I've reset, and I know my wifi password is correct. The Play 1 speaker starts the set up normally,  then automatically connects to a temporary wifi (even though i am already connect to mine on my device) then asks me to connect to my wifi and enter my password, but it can't connect. My device shows me still connected to the temporary wifi of sonos, when I try to switch to mine it says that it lost connection and ends the setup.

According to the SONOS service rep I can no longer use my Sonos5 as it will not update. I switched to Starlink as my Internet Service Provider and they claim they do not support sattelite ISP connections. This is total BS since every other streaming service we can pay for ie: Netflix, Amazon Prime, U-tube, Hulu, Disney, Paramount etc    can stream via Starlink, but Sonos does not. One has to ask why, when every other streaming service can transmit/receive data packets via a fully licensed and valid ISP as Starlink is, but Sonos says they cannot support this service? No ratiional explanation can be offerred to refute why this cannot be remedied. So I now own a $700 doorstop?

My system contains: 1 BEAM2 MINI SUB3 SL 1004 ERA 300 (just purchased)Will all this work together? I have a small 1 bedroom home with extremely high ceilings. (24 ft ceilings in the LR)is this too much audio for my space? 

I have been (happily) using Sonos for years with various WiFi routers, but recently change to Google Nest to increase WiFi coverage.  In doing so, I have lost connection to my Sonos hardware (the Sonos app says “unable to connect”).  Have followed the app trouble-shooting guide but still no connection.  HAs anyone experienced this and/or got any suggestions?
