Some of my speakers are connected, but they won’t play. They are like rejected by the system

On ipadpro with all latest app update  & ipados18, and ikea/sonos speakers, there are airplay issues as follows (after deleting and re-installing app and new setup process with speakers which did not fix issues):the within sonos app radio all work ok Roon works ok, despite issues with other apps. all non roon and non sonos apps when selecting the sonos speakers, they seem to connect for about 30 seconds then disconnect with nil sound.so, there is an issue with the intersection of airplay, sonos device or app, and latest apps or ios18.  Using latest sonos app, not legacy. Had previously all worked Ok

Experienced having to sign in to my system this morning. First time this has happened to me. Updated and on iOS 18 several days ago. No changes were made or observed. Feels like a "canary in the coal mine” omen.

Hi I bought the headphones in the UAE and not only is the volume too low (especially on an airplane) but the case is truly awful and a dust trap. Are Sonos replacing the cases with something more sleek and durable? 

Something changed. If I Liked a song on YouTube, it didn’t take long to show on Sonos. Now, it seems to take forever, or doesn’t show up. Any ideas? I have an Era 100 

Hi,I have an existing wired speaker system as well as a number of Sonos speakers around my home. I just purchased a Denon AVR-S770H and am having trouble getting my wired speakers and wireless speakers to work together.I set up a number of wired speakers in another room to Zone 2 on my receiver. I have a Sonos Port plugged into my AVR using RCA jacks for the ‘out’ and tried both Phono (I read not to use this) and digital inputs into the AVR.My Sonos Port When I try to play Spotify through Zone 2 with the HEOS app, I only get the wired speakers. When I try to play Spotify through the Sonos app, I only get the Sonos speakers. I can’t figure out a way to get them both to play at the same time. I also don’t know which app (Denon, HEOS or Sonos) I need to make this happen. Many of the instructions online have not worked for me. All components seem to be working fine except for this issue. Also, once complete, which program should I be playing music through? I imagine the HEOS, but not sure.

My iPhone works fine with my Sonos system and Sonos app. But the Sonos app on my wife and daughters New iphones can t find the Sonos systeem.  But playing directly from Spotify or other source works fine!  So there must be some connection between their iPhones and the Sonos system. Resetting the app and wifi and router doesn’t help.  All 3 iPhones in my family have iOS 18. Only mine works well with the Sonos app.

Hello:   We have the Arc and Sonos subpurchased My 24.  Arc connects, however, even when I connected an Ethernet cable and lugged the POS Sub upstairs to the router and connected the cable- no joy. The sub connected once or twice with wifi but last 3 months downstairs- 5 feet awat from the ARC.  even after redownloading app/factpory reset not connection.  What am I missing?

One of the reasons we have 4 Sonos speakers is so I can listen to something in my office while my wife has something else on in her, separate, office.  Now when she has music on, the app won’t even open in my IPhone .  anyone else having this kind of issue? Gotta say Sonos kinda sucks since the update. Hoping to see fixes soon. 

Hi! I have 4 Sonos One speakers that I want to set up to fill one big room (40 x 40 feet) with music.  I am new to Sonos, and I can’t seem to add all 4 to the same room.  Is it best to create 4 rooms for the 4 speakers, then group them?  Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

For the love of whatever you hold dear, please implement this feature. We’ve been asking for it for years.  On some movies, the center channel is just too quiet. For example, I’m watching Interstellar on Paramout + via AppleTV. It is showing as multichannel pcm 7.1 on the app. The dialog is coming through at the relative volume of a forum post in a 6pt font in lower case. Everything else is like a 32pt font screed in all-caps. (Which is how I wish I could write this post)Dedicated receivers have had this ability for decades. Stop considering this as a feature beneath you and just give it to us. 😡

I’m using Amazon music service and I’m unable to listen consistently any playlist or individual song. It’s common that after a few minutes I’m receiving the error “X unable to play, the song is not encoded correctly”Is there a solution to this?This is very annoying 

I came back from holiday yesterday done the latest update I don’t know if it’s me but after updating speakers sound a bit louder and have more impact mine gen 3 sub also has a different tone lot better sounding has any one else experience this with latest update 

Hello everyone,I’ve had Sonos for many years now and the first version was top. Since a few months I have random cuts on my play devices (Play 1, the portable one and Move).I have often silence gaps and very randomly. At times I cannot listen to anything for very long on the Sonos radio (or listen to music without being cut) because I have interruptions (just silence). It tries to reconnect but sometimes it does not and I have to press again on play or through Ipad or Iphone.  I would like to know how to tackle tests to identify the problem. Is it my internet/wifi provider or a fault on the Sonos system ?  Many thanks for your suggestions.

My sonos sub is connected to a sonos amp (and two speakers) in my lounge. I have been trying unsuccessfully to relocate the sub to the TV room and add it to the beam and TV setup.When I try “remove sub” from the amp, as well as reboot/reset and swtiched off the sub, it still somehow remains as an “unassigned sub” on the app (I would think it should disappear from the app altogether so that you could reconnect to a new room as if it were a new sub). When I then try and assign it to the TV room I get the error “there was a problem adding your sub. Check the network..”There don’t seem to be any settings option to get around this dead end. I am able to assign it back to the amp.the odd thing is I have done this before a few times successfully on the old app, so I am not sure if the bug is on the new app, or on perhaps a beam upgrade which makes it unable to see the sub?

Cuanto con diversas bocinas de la marca sin embargo hace unos días adquirí una Era 300 para añadirla a el teatro en casa de mi casa que consta de una barra arc, dos Sonos one y un sub mini. Por lo que leí en “teoría” no puedes hacer sonido stereo, sin embargo desde la aplicación de Sonos puedo añadir bocinas y sincronizarlas para que suenen a la par, sin embargo cuando hago esto, la era 300, tanto la Sonos move, la Sonos roam se empieza a cortar el sonido (viniendo desde la tele). Con la función apple air play experimento algo similar cuando quiero Escuchar música desde Apple Music en diferentes bocinas al rededor de mi domicilio. Alguien me podría ayudar a mejorar esta experiencia? cabe mencionar que tengo conexión de 200 mb y un router que te otorga la compañía del servicio. saludos 

I have an S1 system which is locked off from the internet, as I only wish to use my own purchased CDs/tracks held on a NAS.Sonos cannot cope with my library, so I have to move out old content to make way for new content. This has been working fine for a number of years.I recently made space for some new tracks and reindexed. Although the indexing finished each time, indicated by Idx Trk being blank on both units that were powered on, the files are missing. The new directory is there, but without any files.The test set at the moment is one flac file, one purchased mp3 and a converted mp3 off of youtube.I’m still looking at possible causes, but if anyone has any ideas, I’d be grateful.

I haven't been able to connect to my sub mini since the latest app update and have tried factory resetting/reinstalling numerous times.The app recognises there's a sub but won't do the final part of connecting it to WiFi. I'm guessing I won't be the only one experiencing this problem.. 

I have old gen 1 devices on my S1 app/system.  I added the S2 system because I purchased an ARC.   I got the ARC and Sub all set up.   Then I closed the app.  When re-opening the S2 (Sonos) app, my devices disappeared.  Why does this happen?   And is there a way to remediate it?  I want to keep my existing S1 devices because they connect a lot of wired speakers via the Connect

When we pause a program on the Sky box or we don’t adjust the volume after a certain amount of time we have to turn the volume back up to where we left it. 

With a current setup in the living room consisting of an Arc, a sub and two One SL:s for surround, I'm thinking of replacing the One SL:s with two Era 300:s.How would you go about doing this and are there any known issues or limitations accomplishing this in the new Sonos app I should be aware of to avoid a cold shower? I've seen how I can remove the surround speakers by going into system settings for the Arc and my understanding is adding the new Era 300:s will be as easy as adding the One SL:s but what I really would like to know is how to as a last step remove the One SL:s from the system? To make sure they are no longer tied to my Sonos system in any way where I'm hoping being able to sell them and get some money back towards the new Era 300:s.Thanks in advance for your help.

(There are a few topics on this issue that aren’t terribly old, but they have been closed for further commenting)I have several Sonos One speakers, one Sonos Move. they are all operating on WiFi.  The router, a Netgear Orbi RBR850, which is 10-15 feet away, at the most, from the speakers.When streaming music, for example from Spotify, if I manually change the channel or the song, the Sonos Move will go quiet or a bit, eventually it comes back.From the past comments, I can see there is some underlying problem -- I have heard people mention various routers as being the issue, which I cast doubt on, simply due to the variety of routers mentioned, and in particular mine can cover 5000 sq ft.A possible clue is that sometimes the other speakers will briefly demonstrate the same behavior, that is the Sonos One speakers -- but they seem to recover more quickly.   Predominantly it’s the Sonos Move that has problems.I have MacOS Monterey 12.x (up to date) and the Sonos controller is up to date b
