Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

(There are a few topics on this issue that aren’t terribly old, but they have been closed for further commenting)I have several Sonos One speakers, one Sonos Move. they are all operating on WiFi.  The router, a Netgear Orbi RBR850, which is 10-15 feet away, at the most, from the speakers.When streaming music, for example from Spotify, if I manually change the channel or the song, the Sonos Move will go quiet or a bit, eventually it comes back.From the past comments, I can see there is some underlying problem -- I have heard people mention various routers as being the issue, which I cast doubt on, simply due to the variety of routers mentioned, and in particular mine can cover 5000 sq ft.A possible clue is that sometimes the other speakers will briefly demonstrate the same behavior, that is the Sonos One speakers -- but they seem to recover more quickly.   Predominantly it’s the Sonos Move that has problems.I have MacOS Monterey 12.x (up to date) and the Sonos controller is up to date b

Does the device need a period to charge before using? 

When will this company be held responsible for this? I’ve spent thousands on hardware and can’t use it because they decided for no reason to force this faulty software on us . They’ve had months to fix it and it only keeps getting worse 

So the one thing that was working, Trueplay, has now been broken.  There is now a quick option, which was very quick and did nothing IMHO.  The standard option is there but is broken.After having to perform Trueplay again I no longer have access to EQ or Loudness settings. Well the setting can be changed but it has absolutely no effect on the sound. Also the Sub phase option is visible, that normally goes when Trueplay is active. Turning off Trueplay changes the sound but the EQ still does not work.My Sub is stuck on 16.3.1 which may be the issue but no amount of resetting has sorted this.  I also had Auto updates turned off, but that was ignored!So another evening where all I wanted to do was relax to music has been wrecked by a useless update, and again no release notes to see what this was supposed to fix, or break.

I read that many people have problems while trying to set up true play. I’m still fighting and haven’t solved it yet. I changed three different IOS devices, made a number of resets on the Beam gen 2, have all updated apps and iOS but still not working. Really frustrating.  has anybody solved it? thanks

Hello,  I made the mistake of buying a pair of Era 100. I had read online that I could use them with Bluetooth - turns out I have to use an app that doesn't support Google voice, with a subpar YouTube Music integration, and I cannot stream directly from YouTube music (like I've been doing for years with any other non sonos speakers). Funny how this wasn't mentioned in the several reviews I read, and it never occured to me Sonos was such a closed system.Is there any way to bypass the app? Any way to use chrome cast or anything to make the speakers usable?Thank you 

I have had a SONOS system for the last 10 years and for the last couple of years I have been using APPLE TV as my streaming service device.  Last week I decided to update my SONOS System and purchased the ARC sound-bar and a couple of 300’s for surround sound.  Ever since I setup the ARC my APPLE TV Remote does not work properly.  It works the volume and turns the TV OFF fine but after the TV has set for 20 to 30 minutes the APPLE TV Remote will not turn my TV back on.  I have traced this down to the ARC as I have disconnected the ARC from the TV and the remote works fine to turn the TV back on.  Hook the ARC back up and the remote will not turn the TV on.  I have been on the phone with SONOS for hours with no resolution.  So, I am just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.  The ARC and the 300’s are the only thing that has changed with the setup I have been using for years.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks

I just updated Sonos app… I am using Apple, but it keeps forgetting all my settings.  Every change I make in the software it just resets itself and even after I do true play retuning it’s asking me for back speaker distance (Under 2 feet up to 10 feet etc.) Is this just an update Bug or am I missing something?  and sorry i’m using siri to text lol so apologies about the grammar.  it’s also like removing my loudness turned on and any adjustments I made to height basically everything

Have managed to add a path to my music library using a full UNC.  Added my user name and password. Everything worked.  However, after Update Music Library there is still nothing showing.  I have no permission errors, in fact no errors at all, just nothing.  Anyone seen this before?

I bought a Sonos Move due to add it to my system and having a portable speaker.After a good job period it stop to working and Sonos replace it with a refurbished one.Now also the second move stop working.if I attached it to the power the orange led blink for a couple of minutes than it turn off.I tried everything but it is impossible to turn on the speaker…Any help?

I set up a system for a client, (7 amps, 2 Beam bars so far) this week using current android app. The transfer ownership function will open, go to 2nd page and freezes there. All equipment software is up to date. I have deleted then added back the app, cleared cache, restarted phone but app will freeze when I try to transfer. Aby ideas?

Hi all, unlike some I genuinely need help, I am a complete technophobe. I have a massive problem connecting my Sub gen 3, the Arc connects perfectly, the sub sets up without a problem but nothing happens, the app says it’s not connected and my WiFi says it’s offline, I suspect IP issues but neither Sonos or Vodafone will help 🙏🏼🙏🏼

My system worked fine through the phone app and the Mac app until recently.  I was already struggling to get everything working everywhere even before the recent phone app updates due to changing from a BT broadband router to Sky.  I have tried many variations and my best so far is almost good enough.  I have tried full wi-fi but ultimately Sonosnet gives the best result.  The only place the phone app won’t work is in the room where my computer and router are.  This wouldn’t be a problem if the app for Mac still worked but it won’t connect.  My question is,  does the Mac app for Sonos work with the current system?  If not is it planned to update it?  By the way I can connect and fully operate the system on the web via Safari but it was more convenient in a separate app.

Very strange configuration issue that I imagine others have encountered before. We have an old Ben Q non-wifi, non-bluetooth projector hard connected to an AppleTV.  AppleTV connects remotely to two Sonos Era 100 speakers, configured in AppleTV settings. With Disney+, Amazon Prime, Netflix and Youtube, sound plays perfectly through the Era 100s and the experience is great. We also subscribe to an IPTV service and use the app (Smarters) they recommend which is available through Apple App Store. With Smarters, and other App Store apps for IPTV playing that we have tried, sound will play only through the projector’s speakers -- which is a terrible experience. I see no settings in any IPTV app to force/release audio through the projector speakers, and I see no setting on AppleTV that fixes this problem. So far this affects only IPTV apps -- we’ve experimented with a few now experienced the same issue with others, too.  Anyone else experience this? Is there an IPTV app (free or paid) for wh

I use Pocket Casts and BBC Sounds to log podcast series or episodes to listen to and then play them via the API in the Sonos app (iPad/iPhone). Since the major update earlier in the year both these integrations stopped showing the playing or played status of podcast episodes making it a much worse experience electing the next available episode to listen to or continue listening to.I’ve been in touch with Pocket Casts a month or two back and they are aware of the issue which they claim is entirely Sonos’ making - I am sure this is correct.Is it possible to get an update on this?Do Sonos intend to fix this or should we assume this rather large “Ha ha F U podcast listeners using BBC Sounds and Pocket Casts (I don’t know about other services but assume they may be impacted) keep guessing we ain’t going to fix it for ya”?Many thanks fellow Sonos investors

In the iPhone app I can't find the slide to set the synchronisation of speech with the lip while in the iPad app there is, is it a bug of the iPhone app?

My Napster connection as failed! I’ve tried rebooting the system, I have deleted Napster from the system now I can’t reconnect to Napster keeps telling me to check my internet connection!my system is playing all of my Apple Music so I’m not sure it’s my internet!!!any help ??? 

I can no longer search YouTube Music from the Sonos app. No matter what search term I enter it tells me there are no results. See examples below. I have reauthorized and removed and reinstalled the YTM account all to no avail. Anyone have any suggestions?Another annoyance is that when I try to call Sonos support I keep getting disconnected before I speak to anyone.  

My roam started has melted at the back charge plug which has fallen apart now , it’s only just over a year old is this going to be warranted or will I have to go to consumer rights ?

When I change the individual or total group volume in the iOS Sonos app, I can see the sliders for each speaker jump around and I can hear various speakers leave and re-enter the group. Sometimes it settles on the volume I set. Often it doesn’t.Also, more than once I’ve had to stitch off and switch on speakers so that they can be found by Sonos.

As you might have read elsewhere, neither Pocket Cast nor TuneIn can play podcasts produced by Slate and NPR (and probably others) through the S1 controller -- “unable to play - connection was lost” error messages. I’ve had conversations with the very nice Pocket Cast folks, even though I added that I wouldn’t be re-subscribing when my current year ran out, but nothing we tried worked. Those seem to be my only podcast-streaming options for these particular shows. And, unfortunately, I can't update my system to accommodate S2 for now.Maybe you know a secret…?

 After several years effort I THINK I have cracked network issues that I have been having with Windows and my DS920+ DSM 7.2.1. It never behaved as well as the Server 2012 it replaced. I was getting Error 0x80070035 when PCs tried to access the shares, but either after running the suggested windows diagnostics, or just waiting and trying again it would work. The SYNNAS would be variable about appearing in the network list on Windows clients.I'm still not sure what the silver bullet setting was, but the prime suspect is the Master Browser, and a Windows 10 bug where the LAN master browser doesn't behave on a Windows 10 PC. It appears the having the SYNNAS as master browser also gives problems.I have a number of Windows 10 and 11 pcs. On learing about the Windows 10 master browser misbehaving I used the registry setting HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Browser\Parameters\MaintainServerList=Offsetting to prevent the Windows 10 and laptops from becoming the master browser.
