Get help and assistance with your Sonos system

Hi,I haven’t used the stereo pair of two Play:5s in my office for a few months.. and when I tried to use it the other day, one of them was “dead” and did not show up in the system.. after a lot of resetting I have it back in the system, but it is in a separate “room”.I have the Play:5 and the Sub-Mini in “Office” and they work fine, and then I have a separate “Office” with the Play:5 in it.. so I can’t stereo pair them.There seems to be no way of moving the second speaker into the same room, or remove it from its current room, etc.. merge rooms, or anything else.I have current iOS and Android phones.. the Android version of the app seems to be working a little bit better.Any advice?Thanks in advance.

Hello. A few days ago, I set up my Sonos Beam with Sonos Ones as the rear speakers before I got my new TV. The sound was great. I got a new LG QNED TV (55QNED85UQA), and went through the setups. The TV recognized the Sonos Beam. Now, whenever I switch from one app to another (YouTube, AppleTV, Netflix, etc), the volume is drastically different from one app to another. The sound difference is extreme.I have another LG TV with a Sonos Arc and I do not experience this.Can someone recommend a setting change that might fix this? There aren’t many settings in the Sonos app, so I’m assuming it’s a TV setting.

Hi all,just discovered tonight my LG tv remote was no more controlling the volume on my arc… resync it on lg tv, restarted arc, inactivate lg sync stuff nothing solve it. Thought it was related to my surround (symphonisk) because no more distance option in sonos app, so unpair/repair them no changes. Btw the function vocal improvements (not sure about translation) is also not working anymore…any help from someone facing the same issues?thanksarnaud

Haven’t used the Sonos app since may. Just tried to redo everything on my app and still doesn’t work well. Thanks for the garbage.  I will be returning to Costco  

Hello Sonos, After upgrading from the old SONOS APP to the new SONOS APP (May 7th), the APP dont run on Android (XIAOMI). I try to remove and re-add, and the APP stays freeze, I can only see “SONOS”.If I try with another android Samsung, the SONOS APP works, I can we the same SONOS first screen, but will change to a video and ask to login.

since the app update, the volume automatically increases randomly on the setup connected to my tv. including sub and 2 one sl for 5.1 surround.anyone else noticing this? tv is an Phillips ambilight.the tv does not indicate the volume is increasing (not hitting the remote)touch controls are disabled.

SONOS has done it again. My system shows each of the 5 products I have. When I go to play anything I get the message 'Sonething went wrong'. Apparently I have no SONOS products, although my system list shows I have and all white lights are on. 5 bar wifi, ithwr products like laptop, iPad ohone working fine. Closed and restarted app. Still the same problem. Tried cintroller from a different device (iPad instead of Android) no difference. Any ideas anyone? Or is it finally time to change brand. 

When I wear my headphones, the audio becomes distorted, and when I remove them, the sound returns to normal. Does anyone know the reason behind this issue? I have the equalization settings set to default.

Backyard setup:  eARC-capable TV (2024 model), Sonos Arc, Sonos Amp connected to 4 Sonance speakers (two pairs wired in parallel per spec). Everything ethernet-wired. Plan(ned) to use Smart TV apps for all content. No other streaming boxes.Wanted an “all-channel” option for watching sports, i.e., all 5 speakers (4 Sonance + 1 Arc) outputting the same content. Best I could achieve was to connect TV eARC to Sonos Arc, and wirelessly connect Arc to Amp via the Sonos app. However, this config relegates the Amp to Surrounds only, not full-channel audio. This config doesn’t sound very good, especially with 4 speakers in parallel. And the rear-most speakers are 20 feet from the soundbar (the closer speakers are about 10 feet from the soundbar).Could not figure a way around this, so I grabbed an AppleTV 4K and connected it to a regular HDMI input on the TV (HDMI1), leaving the TV’s eARC HDMI4 port still connected to the Sonos Arc. Hi.Im trying to add YouSee Musik service / app to the Sonos app, butnits not showing up at all.I've checked that my adress in my profile is set to Denmark and it is. I've reset the app and relogged in. Nothing work.So I need some suggestion on how to get it to work.  Thank you. 

Two Sonos OneSL speakers. Connected to wifi using the Sonos2 app. I can play music from AirPlay but I don't see these speakers in the app, and I can't connect them to Beam. I've reset them to factory settings, reset the app and the router. Nothing helps. What do I do to make them visible in the app?

 I have a Sonos Arc and Sub Mini. I would like to get Era 300s for better surround sound, but my wife will not let me put them on stands or mount them on the wall. I would be able to, for lack of a better word, "hide" them on the floor in the corners of the room.My question is, is it worth it to get them if I'm just going to put them on the floor? Will the sound be significantly degraded? At that point should I just get 100's?Thanks for your help!

I hear conflicting information on the interwebs about high end streaming with Sonos, and how the Beam 2 (which I have, along with a stereo pair of Era 100s) can stream to 24bit. Is this correct? My understanding was that you cannot stream any better than 16bit at 44.1Khz, rendering tracks shown on Tidal as 24bit as useless. Well, not useless but just cd quality. If my system is a Beam 2 with two Era 100 “slave” speakers, does this mean my system now has a 24bit streaming capability? Can anyone advise? I have heard about a pending Quobuz Connect feature but, again, see conflicting posts about it. Given the choice, I would like to subscribe to Quobuz but if I have to use the dreadful S2 app to browse Quobuz instead of the native app I’ll steer clear. Oh, and thanks to Sonos for removing my ability to play my 1Tb music library on my phone with their “new, improved” S2 app. Luckily I can circumnavigate the app and use USB Audio Pro to cast to Sonos. Hi AllI am looking for clarification of the current situation with the Sonos controllers, both windows 10 desktop software and the mobile phone App with respect to the SMB (SAMBA) control/management of my music library.I will provide background of my situation pre the upgrade of the desktop controller and the upgrade of the app to Version 80.x.x.x for clarity.I have been using the following method/technique to listen to my music library for the last 6 or so years without any issues whatsoever. May 2024 came around and my ability to listen to my music library disappeared in an instant…just like so many others.My music is on a USB pendrive attached to my routers USB port. My music would be available 24Hrs a day as the router never switches off. My router software allows me to “see the USB drive” Windows 10 file explorer can also “see the USB drive” I can add/delete the music on the USB at will from my desktop using file explorer. Sonos desktop allowed me to manage the library Sonos deskt

iPad Sonos app incorrectly says: “Your Apple Music account access has expired” and refuses to connect. Running Apple Music directly on iPad and choosing ERA 100 speaker, there is a delay of several seconds, and then play button goes back to stop and it refuses to play on that device. Will play on other AirPlay devices. Sonos ERA 100 does connect and play properly from MacBook Air Apple Music. Bandcamp does connect and play from the iPad Sonos app.. ( Latest iOS 18.0 on iPad and MacOS Sequoia 15.0 on MacBook and Apple Music subscription current and working despite what Sonos app says. )  

Hi, so I have an ARC which I installed with the Sonos app, works great. Now I am trying to install a Beam Gen 2 on another TV in a different location. The app shows a screen stating I must update it, but my iOs version of 15.8 ( the highest my phone 7 will accept) won’t do with the minimum Sonos requirement of 16. I end up bouncing back and forth between the screens without progress. A simple install shouldn’t be this hard but I’m stuck! 

Today’s latest app update includes the following:Improvements to setup flow Added ability to set appearance between light mode/dark mode/system default Improved queue management including ability to reorder, delete individual items, and scroll Improved performance when browsing content in Home and in Browse Continued improvements to user interface Added Trueplay support for iOS18BUT (per the bolded point) I can’t delete any tracks from a queue, either before playing a playlist or when the playlist is playing (i.e. becomes a queue). I can reorder songs now but I can’t see any option to delete a track from the queue. Am I missing something?

Hello all, I Know this has been asked in different contexts but I kind of need a more specific answer.I currently have the ARC, Sub (Gen 3 ) and 2 Play1s. in my great room Ceiling height is not an issue about 30ft High. I am looking to upgrade to Era 300s for my rears but I have no way of mounting them behind the couch much less at head height. I also can't put them on stands learned that the hard way with my Play 1s due to my toddler son. Ideally I would like to mount them slightly behind my couch on both side walls angled downward to the couch. My 2 questions are How High can I actually mount these on the side walls Id like to go about 6-8 Feet up. and secondly will mounts give me enough angle for the speaker to be somewhat facing the TV? I know it's not 100% Ideal but its a large room with high ceilings and would like more room filling sound for music and TV.  thank you all in advanceAJD

The new app would be greatly improved if the “View System” button actually looked like a button. Common feed back from my sonos clients is that it was not obvious that this is where you can zone your system.Honestly it took me weeks to realise this myself. So much of my frustration in using this new version of app was the perceived  difficulty zoning systems. Please make this obvious - it just looks like text - especially when it is right next to the system name which does nothing .I’m so suprised that this has not been done or pointed out already as my clients always pose this question to me - especially people familiar with any of the other sonos versions  

Hi - Looking for help on connecting the Ray to a 2009(!) Panasonic Viera Link TC-P50V10 tv.  There is a digital output in the back but it is a different connection type,  Do I need some sort of adaptor?  Thank yiu!

Hi, I have a pair of 3s and a bridge, my original purchase from end of 2011. They still work well, I have them cabled in. It seems to be harder now to get music out of them with the v1 app . No Amazon, no other options, just Apple and that's now seeking reauthoisation. Not game to upgrade, v2 gave me a problems back whenever, luckily I had the v1 install file. V3 sounds like it might lose my 3s. Is it over? Do I need to shop elsewhere?

After the update our Play 3 continues to work with both radio and music streaming but our connect does not work with either. The Connect links our amp to 2 non Sonos speakers. Any suggestions on how to re-connect the non-connecting Connect?
